Tried Le Quartier Bakery for the first time and it did not disappoint!!! I had a breakfast croissant with some fruit and wow... SO good. Flaky, buttery, everything you want in a croissant. Now I need to go back and try all the pastries because they looked amazing. There isn't a ton of seating, and we went on a hot day so it was a little warm inside, but honestly the food made up for it. Also love when places have a self-serve water station. Went on a busy Sunday and the staff was on their A game. Line was out the door yet the wait wasn't too long and everyone had a smile on their face. Parking lot is small so if you want to avoid a headache, opt for street parking if you can. I've stopped in for pastries before but decided on lunch this time. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with kale salad it was delicious! The salad had the perfect amount of dressing and was not bitter in the slightest. Always knocks it out of the park with very fairly priced pastries! We live close and love to stop and pick out our favorites! I tried the Quiche Lorraine from this bakery at someone else's house, and it was very delicious! Very crispy crust and creamy egg mixture. Only complaint was that the pieces of meat were very large - would have preferred they cut the meat into smaller pieces that are more distributed. I definitely want to try their veggie quiche! I met a friend for a treat yesterday afternoon and we had a great experience. We ordered a few items that we shared and I also ordered a Iced PSL. The items weren't overpriced but priced as they should be for homemade bakery treats. We ordered a piece of a pumpkin roll, a lemon bar, mini pecan pie, a chocolate almond croissant, and I snagged a medium iced pumpkin spice latte with real pumpkin. All items were great. We love stopping in for sourdough and always end up with a few extra treats. You can get a half or whole loaf and they will even slice it for you upon request. This is the best sourdough I've found and is soooo good! The almond croissants are my favorite (very flaky/fluffy) but the berry danish is a close second - the balance of fruit to sweet to flaky is excellent. The offer lots of breakfast and lunch options. I haven't tried yet but I hear the falafel is amazing! The staff and always really kind and offer up great recommendations. The Dundee location has a shared parking lot that's normallh available. I love Le Quartier! It's such a staple of the neighborhood. Every employee I've encountered is so nice and you can tell they care. I usually get sweet pastries but today I felt drawn to the chicken salad on croissant. Incredible. The croissant is so flakey and buttery, and the chicken salad is flavorful and a delicious, creamy deli texture. I was at the Old Market Farmer's market and seeing this mixed berry danish made me stop in awe of its beauty. I LOVE cheese danishes and especially ones with different fruit on it. This mixed berry danish was INCREDIBLE. It had blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries which added an amazing pop of flavor to the delicious cream cheese topping. The pastry was super flaky and flavorful as well. It was exactly what I wanted. The lady who saw me admiring them talked to me right away and I just had to try it. I adore Le Quartier! This charming business operates in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska and they can be found at their three bricks and mortar locations as well as at the Omaha and Lincoln farmers markets. Their breads are featured all over Omaha and Lincoln at local restaurants and grocery stores. Le Quartier has spacious tables, a lovely mural, comfortable seats, speedy wifi, and the best study break distration (pastries, obviously). I especially appreciate the Omaha location as there are very limited study/work spots in Dundee. It seems this is the only study/work spot option for me other than Blueline Coffee. I don't consider Dundee Double Shot to be the best study/work spot because of the lack of outlets. Lola's is a great spot on weekdays but not on weekends as they do not allow laptops in the dining areas on Saturdays and Sundays. In summary, this is my go-to in Dundee if I need to get things done on a weekend. Le Quartier would also be great to grab a pasty and stroll around Dundee or Memorial Park. read more

Such a cute bakery! They offer a good selection of baked goods and pastries I grabbed some of the chocolate cupcakes for a birthday and they're soooo good. Moist cake and not overly sweet frosting. Stopped today and got a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I was delicious. Came with a side, I picked the kale salad, good as well. Service was good, when got home I realized I was missing an item. I called them up to let them know that I would be back to pick it up, just so they didn't run out. Big hits for me are their Olive Bread, Lemon Bars, Cheese Danish, Ham n Cheese Croissant. I also had a cranberry and walnut sourdough that was to DIE for, not sure if it was seasonal bc I haven't seen it recently. Some tips for you: 1) They have day old bread that is quite the deal if you're on a budget. 2) They can slice the bread for you 3) Pastries and Bread freeze well on their own to prolong shelf life. Freeze the pre-sliced bread and just put straight into your toaster /oven whenever you want a slice. 4) They have a freezer case with assorted pastries that are also a deal. I go every other week to pick some up for easy breakfast/snacks. The re-heat instructions are on the bag. read more

Stopped in for a few pastries with my family, can't believe I haven't been in sooner. We ordered some croissants, danishes, and coconut haystacks. Nothing overwhelming about the inside, a small counter to order from, and some table seating along the side...struck me as mostly a take-out bakery. The service was great, the young woman who helped us was friendly and helpful. The pastries were great, similar to some other french bakeries I've been to. The fruit danish felt like a meal, it was heavy and delicious. I definitely recommend it...maybe even splitting it. The location also offers coffee, and there is a coffee shop down the street as well. I think it'd be fun if the inside was a little more inviting for eating in, or had a deck of some sort, but they do a good job with the space they have in the strip mall. I'm we had gotten the Hungarian mushroom soup and sandwiches, the soup was bland for my taste and so was the chicken salad sandwich, the breakfast sandwich was fine, nothing exciting. I walked from my Mom's home to this all-time favorite French Bakery! There was a window opened to the outside for to go orders, so I simply walked up "masked" and ordered 3 separate boxes of plain buttery croissants. They were out of the almond cream croissants, otherwise I would have ordered half & half for each box. The employees were all wearing masks which I appreciated! This was the easiest process and I was walking back in less than 5 minutes. I dropped a box at my Mom's wonderful neighbors front door, gave my brother and sister in law a box and the final box we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully in the near future, when they are able to open up their inside bakery, I'll be able to enjoy their soup, croissant sandwiches and other desserts, like I have in the past before COVID19. read more

The shop is located in a dumpy little strip mall, and the interior is shabby and in need of makeover. The bread products are delicious and well-made. I would have liked a bit more almond paste in my almond croissant but the bake on it was good. The French vanilla macaron was tasty and not dry! Not quite enough filling for my taste. I also tried the cream cheese danish with fresh raspberries. YUM! Nice flaky pastry on the outside but not too brittle. The interior was cooked through but still soft and lovely. Great bakery. We swung by here today to pick up some pastries. Due to COVID, they are allowing curbside pick up and you can also walk up to window and order. We got the cranberry lemon scone, almond chocolate croissant and chocolate croissant. The croissants are flaky with super tasty filling. The size of them are huge too! Artificial almond flavor, the chocolate didn't taste right, & wasn't a normal croissant texture. The lemon bar tasted ok but the texture was super gluey, we didn't finish either pastry. We live in the neighborhood and love walking up to grab some coffee and eats every now and again. With the recent expansion earlier this year, the space doubled in size and created a much more welcoming, brighter environment than before. In addition to their delectable pastries (the Danish is to die for), there is also a good variety of sandwiches. I love the chicken salad on a croissant and my husband often enjoys the sausage and cheddar breakfast sandwich. Sides normally include fruit, a soup of the day and a couple of other rotating options. They do have a little refrigerated section where you can purchase the chicken salad and some other items in bulk to go. 4 Years ago when I lived in Omaha I would always get a pain au chocolat (a roundish shaped croissant with chocolate inside) at the farmers market every week from Le Quartier's stall. It was my treat and no farmers market trip was complete without one. Now I'm back but sadly the farmers market is not currently going. I was happy to learn they have multiple locations. I personally think this is the superior location. The croissants and the pain au chocolat were perfectly cooked. Crisp on the outside, flaky buttery inside, and not too dark colored. Taste was very good. The shop's inside was pretty basic but clean and the people working the counter were very nice and speedy. The little parking lot is a bit of a pain and I could see where you might have trouble (that whole area kinda sucks for parking really). I haven't tried their sandwiches but they were decently priced so I'm so at some point I will. If I had one complaint it would be the cookie. I'm currently on a quest to find a soft chewy chocolate chip cookie. The lady working told me their cookies were soft so I said sure for $1.75 I'll get a large cookie.... it was not soft and I was sad. Don't get me wrong a little almond milk softened it up and made it edible but NOT a soft chewy cookie. Sadness. Breakfast is complete with a croissant and for $7.25 I was able to get 2 croissants and 1 pain au chocolat (a rounded croissant with chocolate inside). Can't beat that! read more
