I buy here often and I also do DoorDash and when I come in, they hardly ever greet me or acknowledge me. They seem like they really don't wanna be there and I'm an inconvenience to them. Ordered 1/2 dozen of my son's favorite sugar cookies for his birthday & got frosted animal cracker cookies (with sprinkles) instead. When I told the employee that's not what I ordered, she assured me it was in fact a sugar cookie, same recipe, just different frosting. Since it was Saturday night & b-day was Sunday I took the cookies & trusted they would be what she said. They were not. They were gross. I love their cookies! The sugar cookie is not my favorite because the almond extract in the frosting on top is too overpowering, it's like eating the almond extract. But the chocolate chip cookie is a classic and you can never go wrong choosing that options, super moist, soft and perfect! My only problem with this store which makes me want to never come back here is the customer service. It doesn't help that there is no one working the register, instead they have this tablet which if you have never even been here before you wouldn't know where to go, not to mention if you need a specific request like packing them individually or if you want them cold or wondering how long is it going to take you literally have to shout to one of them to get their attention. Not to mention all the staff are not friendly what do ever they always give you attitude if you try and ask a question. I don't know if they were trained not to talk to customers but they really could use some help and guidance. I really wish they would have a human working a register so there is some communication they all can work on. The employees are like robots(expect all of them look stressed and annoyed) and have not once from the 8 times I have been ever great me or tell me the wait time on the cookies. I have waited 30 minutes for 1 cookie 3 times and I leave every time coming back hoping things would be different and they are not. Not to mention I have left 3 times with out a cookie because no one has 30 minutes to wait for one cookie, not worth the trouble at all. My suggestion is go right when they open. Tried to call numerous times to get prices on cookies because I couldn't find that info on their web site. They never even answered. Must be a part of the company/franchise culture because I tried calling another location and got the same results. Voicemail states that for faster service use the website. I get that this is the day and age of "No personal interaction, no Customer service" but you can still pick up a phone and talk. My mom did it while cooking, cleaning, and raising 6 kids, with a phone on the shoulder and 2 free hands. One of the best cookies I've ever eaten. They're moist, flavorful and HUGE (seriously). They are worth the 3$/cookie. I was only able to eat a 3rd of mine. I had one of the cookies in rotation for this week, peanut butter chocolate ( New love of my life. Lol). I also had it with a bottle of milk. The combination was heaven on earth. They sell bottles of 2% milk, chocolate milk, and water for 2$/bottle. When they give you the cookie it's perfectly warmed and the topping for your cookie is freshly applied. My topping was the melted peanut butter and chocolate (very generous). Yes the cookie itself is chocolate with peanut stuffed inside, but then more chocolate and peanut butter is applied ontop. This magical place was probably my favorite Utah experience to date, and I REALLY wish Sacramento would get on board. Giant delightful cookies much like the magic you'd find in Disneyland keeps you coming back for more each and every time. I was in Layton for about a week, and I think we went here three times during my visit, which still wasn't quite enough. The pricing seemed fair, I believe it was 4 cookies for $10, and they were given to you ooey, gooey and ready to eat. Wanting to save the cookies for later? My cousin reheated them in her oven the first night I was there and they were just as good as ever. You can have these cookies shipped to you, but the price for shipping is more than a box of 4 cookies, but if desperate times call for desperate measures, I am glad that is there as an option. With that said, I really do love the Crumbl Cookie experience from the simplicity in the menu, to the vibe of the store, to the boxes they are served in. Let me first say the cookies are fantastic and are every bit worth a 5 star rating. However two interactions with the location and manager have left me no choice but to write a review in hopes that I a change gets made and I can go back to enjoying the cookies. Interaction 1: I had a dinner appointment that I wanted to take cookies to for desert. I knew I would be in a tome crunch and called 45 minutes in advance and asked if I could place a "to go" order. I was directed to there online ordering and was told that "to go" was not an option. I was reassured that I could come in and the cookies would be made fresh and I would be out the door. I showed up and there were probably 12 other people in the lobby. There was about 15 people working. All 12 people had placed orders and were waiting. I placed my order and joined the waiting. Over the next 30 minutes I saw another 12 people enter into the lobby and four people leave the lobby. I observed the 15 people working and couldn't help but wonder if they saw the 20 people in their lobby. By the time I got my cookies I was already late for my dinner appointment. Interaction 2: I tried again to see if I could do a to go order. I was directed to order the cookies online. I obliged and order them online. 30 minutes passed from the time that they said they would be at my door. And I so I called and spoke to the manager. I was told that there was a line out the door and that they only had one driver. They couldn't give me an time that they would be there. To be 30 minutes late because your lobby is full somewhat understandable. To be 30 minutes late because you only hired one driver is inconceivable. I can't help but think back to the 15 people working. you've got one person kneading the dough, two people icing the cookies, one person scooping the dough onto the cookie sheets, one person handling the phones, and one person handling the register, that would leave you with 9 other people working to decorate cookies. Please tell me you don't need 9 people decorating cookies. Take 5 of them and have them decorate, 3 become drivers and 1 can have is break. Rotate the break through the staff and I can promise you a better customer experience for your clients. I would love to speak to the owner, franchisee, whoever besides the high school manager I got today and discuss. read more

Cookies are good, very decadent. One cookie would work for two to three people. They're fairly new so I'll cut them a break but the girl at the front counter was not the best. She was very concerned about the three cute "mommy bloggers" at the counter, probably spent about 20 minutes letting them choose and ask questions and compliment their outfits while the line piled up behind them. There was about 10 people making cookies but not one of them was concerned about the line. The more times I come here the more and more I am impressed with this place. We came in and got 4 cookies to share. As we were sitting there eating, they heard me say how much I liked peanut butter, so they made us a special cookie with peanut butter that was not on the menu. It has without a doubt been my favorite cookie there! I promised them I wouldn't tell anyone what it is, but I hope if I bug them enough about it, they will add it to the menu. Really disappointed with this location. With the quarantine, and I live in West valley. I wanted to order my son in law cookies for his birthday to be delivered to him in Layton. When I saw that they were still charging a 5 dollar delivery fee when most restaurants are waiving these charges during this quarantine. I wrote to them and expressed my disappointment stating I really hope that fee goes to the driver because I reduced my tip amount for that reason. The response I got was "you could have done curb side pickup". What a cavalier, dismissive, and ignorant response. These cookies are already pretty expensive and while they are good, they aren't good enough to make up for being treated like garbage. So, now I have a $50/Month cookie habit. I buy four at a time, cut them in half so my wife and I can test the unique flavors each week. I can also honestly say that during the past month, when I have made two cookies (actually 4 half cookies) with milk part of my weekly food intake, I have lost 11lbs!! This was my second time trying Crumbl cookies. I was looking forward to the gooey, warm chocolate chip cookie. When something is really good you do not mind paying $2.50 per cookie (we got the box of four). We get home and I sit down ready to enjoy the melting chocolate. I bite into the chocolate chip cookie and cold, raw dough is what I get. I could of gone to the cookie dough place if I wanted that. The cookie was literally cold in the middle. I checked the other one and it was the same way. We did not even look at the other two. Just threw in the garbage. Needless to say I will not be back. I wish I could give zero stars but you have to at least give them one. My business will now always go to Munchies in SLC. Should have never strayed.
