There were a couple of people in front of me placing their orders, so I patiently waited before telling the staff that I'm "just picking up an order". After waiting for 10 minutes, they finally acknowledged that I was waiting. They then took my name and then continued working on other orders for walk-ins. When you order and pay online with a pickup time, you expect the process to be expedited... I waited for 30 MINUTES for a PRE-PAID, ONLINE ORDER with a scheduled pickup time. It should have gone like this... 1. walk in 2. say the name on the order 3. receive cookies 4. walk out That's it. Figure out a better system to decrease wait time for pickup orders. I love coming here every now and then for a quick little treat. Today I grabbed some cookies after work. The service is usually pretty quick, or at least during the times I've stopped by. The flavors are pretty hit or miss, though. Sometimes they feel a little bland, though I personally don't mind too much since I love the sugariness and sweetness the cookies have. I enjoy the chewy texture the cookies normally have, too. The only real complaint I have is that sometimes when I'm handed the box, it'll be sticky or have icing residue. When this franchise location first opened I found the quality of their cookies everything they were advertised and rated to be... excellent! The next visit, not so much and each visit since (about 3 or 4 more) the quality continued to decline. The cookies were not the texture or level of moisture (especially the chocolate chip cookie) they should have been. They were not warm and too dry. During this same time period I was able to get Crumbl cookies from a different franchise location and they were much better... what I expected. Obviously, there is something wrong with the way the Plano location is being managed. And I'm not the only one giving this location bad reviews. If I were the franchisor I would be all over this location to get their act together. They are giving Crumbl a bad "name." Today was the last straw of trying give the Plano location another chance. Here's what happened: I used the online app to order 4 of the Mom's recipe cookies at about 3:30 pm for pickup between 5-5:30. I paid for the order at time of placing the order. At about 5:20 I walked into the store to pickup my order and was told they were sold out of those cookies! What's the point of ordering and paying for the order in advance. I felt I had a "contract" with this store to provide me with my order when I said I would be there to pick it up. They broke that contract. Yes, they refunded the purchase, but nothing else offered for my inconvenience. This reminds me of the days you'd make a rental car reservation only to arrive at your destination and find out there aren't any cars available! What's the point of making a reservation!?!? What's the point of placing and paying for an order of Crumbl cookies ahead of time only to arrive at the store and being told they are sold out. You were supposed to set aside 4 of those cookies for me! By the way, as I was writing this review I jumped over to the Crumbl app and started to place another order for 4 Mom's recipe cookies from the Plano store. Guess what, it was allowing me to place the order even though the store was sold out! Apparently, this franchisee and/or the franchisor doesn't care about customer service or quality control. What do they care as long as they sell out of inventory. I will never frequent this franchisee location again. And since the next closest Crumbl location is over 6 miles away and out of my way, I won't be buying Crumbl cookies anytime soon. read more

I just wanted to say that I ordered my cookies three days ago to have them shipped to my parents house because it's their 45th anniversary. They've never had your cookies before and they've always heard how amazing they are and when they get them they're hot well I'm very disappointed. At $4/cookie, Crumbl better deliver the goods. We ordered a six pack for like $17. It included Chocolate Chip, Kentucky Butter Cake, Dulce Leche and Mango. All of the cookies were cooked perfectly and by perfectly I mean enough to bake the batter and to ensure the cookies are moist and soft. If you're one of those people who enjoy hard cookies or ones brown or black around the edges, this is NOT the place for you. Also, all of the cookies are large. One cookie can easily feed 2 people. Ratings (1-10): Chocolate Chip: 9 Kentucky Butter Cake: 5 Dulce Leche: 7 Mango: 4 The Chocolate Chip cookie is nice and gooey and chocolat-y. They're served with the abundant chips still melting. The texture is perfect. Two glasses of milk required. The Kentucky butter cake is basically butter and lots of brown sugar. It's a basic cookie. You'll need at least full glass of milk to get through it. The Dulce Leche is a basic sugar cookie with dulce Leche icing on top. The icing was very good and it works. It's not life changing but it's done well. The Mango was our biggest letdown as again it's a basic sugar cookie with mango icing that didn't really taste like anything other than standard sugar icing. A tiny piece of mango on top didn't do too much to change that. It took about 6-8 minutes to get our cookies at around 4pm on a weekday afternoon. This place gets crowded. After moving from Utah a few years ago, I was so excited when Crumbl started popping up around the DFW area! I live in Denton so it's a bit of a drive, about 35-40 mins, but this is still the closest one to me. I've been 3 times total now to this location and have decided I won't be back anytime soon. Each experience has been worst than the last. The store is chaotic and seems to be run by teens who don't care. I called yesterday because I was having trouble ordering on the app and I was told that I couldn't buy a 4 or 6 pack because they were out of boxes. I asked if I could order them and just have them boxed individually and I was told I would have to be charged individually as well. When I asked why I would have to pay more I was told that this was currently the case at ALL locations because "every Crumbl in the world was out of boxes right now" and I could only order a 12 pack or individual cookies. When I came into the store a few hours later to buy the 12 pack I was told I could only buy a 4 or 6 pack because they were out of the large boxes. This was on the same day!! On another visit the store was sold out of 3/6 of their cookie flavors. Understandable since they're busy. I ordered a 4 pack of the other 3 flavors and paid. I was then told that they didn't have 2 of the flavors I ordered, even though I had been told less than two minutes ago that those were the ONLY flavors they had. When I asked why they had told me they had those flavors they said they actually did have them but they were for doordash orders. Two employees came over with a full tray of cookies and told me that they prioritized the delivery orders and couldn't sell me the cookies. So there was only one flavor of cookie available, I was told it was a 35-45 minute wait for other flavors, and this wasn't told to me until after I paid. All while 5 other employees were standing around just staring at me. Overall, the cookies are delicious but the customer service is not good and the store is inconsistent. Stopped by during my lunch break to pick up some treats for the wife. I usually go to the Allen location, but since this one is closer to work I decided to stop by. I have no gripes with the location, but the cookies were just thrown in the box and they definitely need a lot of work. The peanut butter topping on the peanut butter brownie looked nothing like the picture. The strawberry shortcake cookie had NO frosting at all so it looked nothing like the picture. The oatmeal chocolate chip was missing the chocolate flavor it usually has. Haven't had the chocolate chip cookie, so hopefully it will be the one highlight of this trip. My husband is a cookie snob, so that being said, the cookies were ok to him and a little better than ok to me. The churro cookie wasn't cooked all the way through (unless its supposed to be that way?) and was throat clenchingly sweet. Turtle cookie was pretty good - dense, basically more of a brownie but if you like chocolate you will probably enjoy it. Orange cookie was pleasant enough and reminiscint of a scone but we thought it could have used more spices, just personal preference. The mint chocolate chip cookie was lighter than expected and not bad but we weren't wowed. We cut up the large cookies to try a piece of each of them, the cookies were quite large. Went by Crumbl Cookies today and tried out some of their new weekly flavors. We got their pineapple whip (7/10), hazelnut sea salt (10/10), and two of the Hawaii rainbow cake (8/10). The pineapple whip had a super strong pineapple flavor, so we definitely recommend this cookie for pineapple lovers. We loved the hazelnut sea salt! This cookie is perfect for someone that wants a classic go-to. The Hawaii rainbow cake was amazing! The frosting is coconut flavor and it isn't too strong, which makes it taste great! The cookies are pretty good. Too sweet, especially for the massive size, but fine and a cute concept with rotating flavors. I've been here about 3 times now, there is usually a long wait, but I'm understanding as it's a new business and very busy. Today I ordered online, huge mistake. I know there is a staffing shortage right now, but every time I've been in this store there are a handful of teenagers lost and milling about while 1 or 2 people are killing themselves trying to fill orders. 2nd time ordering from this location. Still not impressed. Service issues: Both times I have ordered when they were not busy and both times they were slow. Ordering online and selecting a pick up time and still having to wait 5-8 minutes (I know it doesn't sound like a lot of time and I realize they are waiting to put the cookies in the box until I arrive so they are warm, but there aren't any other customers, so what's the hold up?) kinda defeats the purpose in my opinion. The teens they have working here are at best, adequate, I mean they get the cookies into the box , but they are slow, having conversations with each other, not acknowledging me when I walk in (like not even saying "hello...welcome to Crumbl"...maybe I'm spoiled by the super nice teens at Chick-Fil-A) , but they are not friendly or welcoming. Not cool Crumbl-hire kids that want to be there and teach them customer service skills. Cookies: Both times the cookies haven't been as good as when Crumbl first opened...I can't remember our last order, but this one we ordered the Oreo cookie sandwich (I was SO excited about this one, but was a tad disappointed. The cookies were really flat/thin...flavor was ok), Strawberry Shortcake (Fail-this cookie was almost raw, just not baked properly...did not taste good. There was some red glaze but definitely no pieces of "fresh strawberry". Evidence-it's the last cookie standing), Red Velvet (not sure- my kiddo and hubby ate it all before I could taste it...so I'm guessing it was good. At least I didn't hear any complaints from them), Cinnamon Frybread (This one was tasty-nothing bad to say. It was big and thick and delicious...like all Crumbl cookies should be), and the traditional Chocolate Chip. Let me say, the chocolate chip has been my favorite (until I had the cornbread cookie and now the Frybread cookie) but lately it's been shrinking....like it's way smaller in diameter than the other cookies. It was still thick and it tasted good, just small. I really wish I would have taken a photo of it next to the other cookies, but alas as I mentioned earlier the boys in my house are pretty quick to devour them. And to be fair to this location, I have noticed the Chocolate Chip shrinkage at other locations as well. What happened?! Did the recipe change? Are the kids using a smaller scoop of dough? Even 24 hours later it showed that it was 1 minute away on the app. No answer from the store after waiting for them to pick up for 20 minutes. Texting the customer service number given on Twitter results in one response asking for the order number and nothing further after that was provided. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card. Still no contact, explanation or apology from the store. In person, they are almost always out of at least one of the flavors I want. Very disappointing. Look at this sorry looking cookie for my 7 year old SERIOUSLY!!! I drove the extra 15 minutes to the Garland location and it's well worth it!!!
