She liked to ensure personalized desserts for her clients, which was something that those food delivery facilities could not accurately convey. After learning about the owner's mission to provide allergy-free desserts and her attention to detail, I decided to book her bakery to make my son's birthday cake. My husband picked it up at a scheduled time on the day of the party and was thrown off by the man who answered the door without a shirt on. The owner was thoughtful and checked on us later on during the day. My 2-year old son enjoyed the design and taste of the cupcakes. The guests loved the design of the cupcake cake, but did not like the taste. It was due to my request for no sugar, because my son doesn't eat sugary desserts. But the bakery made the cupcakes vegan and sugar-free based on my request, so they definitely did what was asked of them. In the future, I'll get the guests a different dessert.

But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Puerto Rican gringa whose parents were born on the island. I'm guessing there are two different versions. The version that I know (and my mother loved) is the softer one that is more like a sweet roll. I've also had better ham & cheese mallorca sandwiches.
