We haven't been here in a while, but after today...we will not be returning after purchasing over a dozen of assorted cookies and only 3 were "ok". Everything else was horrible and stale. My order was just for Ed and me, not a big order, but it did take a few moments to prepare. As I waited, I became aware of the words bombarding my senses. BE VERY CAREFUL when you purchase cookies at the kiosk inside the store. Last Thursday I went inside and ordered a 6 pack at the kiosk, using about $5.00 in loyalty cash. When I went to pick up the cookies the Assistant Manager at the cash register said that they had not received the order. One of the staff when to the Kiosk so I could show him that I had placed the order correctly. I even showed both the Assistant Manager and Manager that the funds were "pending" from my credit card account (using the credit card company APP). They both insisted that as the funds were "Pending" and they did not see the order on their end that they could not give me the cookies I ordered and paid for. One of the staff did offer to sell me another 6 pack at 1/2 the price....but, why would I spend $29 for cookies that I should only have paid $19 for???? Today I noticed that the charge went through on my credit card but was able to successfully dispute and get a credit back for the charge. Crumbl Cookies finally opened last week in Rockwall. I remember seeing the sign a few months ago so I couldn't wait to try their cookies. After running errands, I noticed the open sign at Crumbl and decided to pick up a cookie. Tori greeted and assisted me with my purchase. I told her this was my first time trying their cookies so she explained the menu to me. Some of their cookies are on rotation while others are available daily. I didn't know which to try so I asked Tori for suggestions. She said her favorite is the Pumpkin Loaf so I ordered one. Tori also mentioned their loyalty program and signed me up. For every dollar I spend, I will receive one point. Once I reach 100 points, I will receive a $10.00 gift card. Great deal. Cookies can be purchased in singles, four pack or twelve pack. They also offer catering so if you see the mini cookie display menu, these are only for catering orders. I noticed a few customers come in to pick up their order. I'm told weekends are super busy so plan ahead and place your order for pick up if you don't want to wait in line. I arrived around 9:00am so I only had to wait about a minute. Their pumpkin loaf cookies are moist and delicious. The cookie isn't too sweet and the frosting isn't overly sweet. Finally, I can enjoy a cookie without scraping off a ton of frosting. Perfect balance and worth every calorie. I went back the next morning but this time I purchased two cookies. I wasn't planning on eating them right away so I told Tori she didn't have to warm them up. She explained that all cookies are served warm except the chilled sugar cookie. I ate the chocolate chip cookie this morning for breakfast and it is delicious. The hours can be a blessing and a curse especially if you can't say no to their cookies. They are open at 8:00am during the week. Fridays and Saturdays they close at midnight. They are closed on Sundays. If it's your turn to bring baked goods to work you can skip the donuts and grab a few dozen. Your coworkers will thank you. I am planning to come back the week of Thanksgiving unless I lose control of my car and end up in front of Crumbl. I haven't been to Crumbl in awhile and was very happy to have one open up nearby. My favorite is the Almond Sugar Cookie and I was surprised to find out that it is no longer a staple along with the Chocolate Chip cookie. (Too bad...) Being a fan of the chilled cookies I decided on the Chocolate Cake feat. Heath. Simply put, it was terrible. I tried my best to finish it, but I just couldn't and threw it away. If you want soft sweet wonderful cookies this is the place! We got the animal cookie and it was so good. It had a slight crunch around the edges and soft in the middle. The gingerbread was a light gingerbread taste with amazing frosting. The eggnog didn't taste like eggnog to us. More of a nutmeg cookie but it was good.
