Well yesterday I made sure to check, and sure enough it was wrong again. I pull back around, and ask if I can change it out for what I had ordered, without looking at what was in the bag the person at the window started arguing with me insisting I had my correct order. Eventually I get what I ordered, and when I look into the bag at the croissant it is the same one I handed over, but they took off the bacon, and eggs to replace it with a cold piece of ham, and cold cheese. I've never made a review on anything good or bad, but after all the headaches I'd like to share with others.

I ordered an old fashioned glazed cake donut, a chocolate eclair with cream filling, and a vanilla frosted sprinkle donut for my son. I ate the old fashioned first and the taste immediately threw me off, as it was fried in old oil, or something had been fried in the oil that gave off a funky taste. The donut was passable, a bit on the dry side and not as good as the other old fashioned donuts I've tried in Greenville. The chocolate filled eclair was better, notably because it had a delightfully crisp crust on the bottom. However, it still had the funky oil taste, but was much better than the old fashioned. My son loved his frosted sprinkle donut as dessert, so he was happy. I had a tiny bite of it and was put off by the same weird old oil taste, though. I was hoping for a great local gem, but that was not the case with this visit. Hopefully I just caught them on a bad day. If nothing else, their donuts are very cheap. I'll likely give them a shot again on the chance they can turn things around.

The Bavarian cream also has a subtle crisp crust and is filled with a nicely-textured, not too thick sweet cream. Other than those, their old fashioned donuts are their best donuts to me. They have a good crunch on their exteriors and are soft and moist inside. I'd classify their standard cake and glazed donuts as good, solid donuts. Prices are reasonable. The plain cake donut, ate early in the morning, was a revelation. It's hard to find a perfectly executed cake donut- subtly crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. Her plain cake donut checked these boxes. Phenomenal. The mini-cinnamon roll donut was delicious. Quality cinnamon, pleasantly sweet, just amazing.
