Strawberry Fields Cheesecake

Cheesecake to die for!!! I got one plain and one that was marbled with chocolate. Scrumptious and VERY addictive (couldn't put down the fork!)

I cant believe I'm just finding out about this place. When I say everything I've tried is so good. I mean everything. My favorite breakfast item is the avacado toast with the egg white. The chicken sausage is fire. The jam he makes is the best I ever had. Ive had the strawberry lemon cheesecake 10/10. His cookies are good as well. Great customer service. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The best cheesecakes I've had in Oakland. Got the strawberry and lemon as two "mini" birthday cakes. Looked elegant with some gold candles, and my partner absolutely loved the presentation and taste. I honestly can't think of a better cheesecake I've had in Oakland. It was decadent but not too rich; you still want more and more. The balance of flavors was perfect. The cookie layer was divine and maintained their crisp even a day later. The candied fruit -- strawberry and lemon peel -- were executed masterfully in terms of flavor balance and texture. These details represent how much care they put in. I highly recommend the strawberry and lemon cheesecakes. I wanted to get the banana pudding but it was sold out for the day. I bet it's phenomenal and can't wait to try it out. They also offer large, full-sized cheesecakes, breakfast sandwiches, and more. I imagine it's a delicious breakfast/brunch spot. Theres a bit of seating inside. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Free street parking was a breeze to find on a Saturday afternoon. You can really feel the passion and care in every ounce of each cheesecake. Treat you and your loved ones and enjoy the amazing cheesecakes here. (Just leave some banana pudding for me.)

I Love New York Cheesecake

I was looking for a good cheesecake in the East Bay for my boyfriend's birthday cake, since he is a big fan of cheesecake. I relized this place had actulally been on my want to go list for a whle with a note saying "NY Cheesecake", so I decided to give it a try! I ordreded their "I Love New York Cheesecake" online three days in advance and picked it up in the store. The whole process was smooth and easy. Once I placed the order, I got a comfirmation email right away. The cheesecake is smooth, with dense cream cheese filling with a hint of fresh lemon and Madagascar vanilla on a buttery shortbread crust. The cake tasted amazing, and I'll definitely be back to try their other flavors in the future!

I love love this place. The owner is amazing, the food is always amazing. The menu is constantly changing with the seasons. I have to stop by anytime I am in the neighborhood. If you haven't been, run dont walk and get you some delicious treats to eat and share, dont be greedy, share the love.

Ham and big Turkey & Pear (Sandwich) and the ham and big sandwich.

The food was absolutely out of this world! Add the ham and fig sandwich and the turkey apple sandwich. All I can say is oh my goodness!

Warm Cinnamon Rolls

Ive been wanting to try this place for so long but was disappointed with my first visit. Came today on a Sunday and it was clear they were understaffed with a lot of customers, seemed like it was just the owner working plus one person in the back making all the orders. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and also the cinnamon rolls. When the breakfast sandwiches were ready I heard him call out one with bacon and one with ham even though me and the other customer both ordered bacon. We both said we ordered bacon and he seemed confused. He gave one box to the customer who had ordered before me and then he handed me a box. I specifically asked him if this was bacon because that is what I ordered and he responded "yes", turns out it was not bacon like I had suspected and it was ham, which I do not like. It was already too late cause I was already on my way home. He should have asked the worker in the back to remake my sandwich or at least swap out the ham with bacon but he did not. Disappointed, it was already a longer wait (which I don't mind waiting) but I didn't get what I asked and paid for. In total I spent $35 (including tip) for an order of two small cinnamon rolls and a breakfast sandwich with the wrong meat. Disappointed, I won't be coming back. Wish I had a better experience here because I saw so many good reviews.

Vietnamese coffee
Jasmine Y.

Came here for the first time! Greeted with a warm smile and very friendly guy. At first we were only looking to have some coffee but I am glad I had the pastry last second. The pistachio croissant was so nice and crispy on top, and it was very generous with the filling in the middle. It was nicely sweetened, but not too sweet! So nice to share with a person or two! I ordered the cold brew and the Vietnamese coffee. My only issue would probably be the coffees and if it wasn't for the pastry, I would probably give this place a 2 or 3 star. The coffee cans I saw on shelf are definitely the beans/grinds used in Vietnamese coffee, but the milk used was not right. Vietnamese coffee is more thick -- with condensed milk and very concentrated espresso/coffee. This one was not strong and pretty watered dow. The one I got today resembled nothing of viet coffee, and I was a little let down.

Scones & coffee cake muffins

I picked up a few pastries here on a Wednesday morning. It wasn't too busy and it's a cute little bakery. This is what I tried with my family and we all gave the items very similar ratings. All in all great place, I'll be back to try more items. Coffee cake muffins 10/10 - this was SO delicious. The muffins was the dense and moist. You could taste spices like cardamom which I love. It was just so good, perfect to pair with coffee or tea. Butter peace croissant 10/10 - this was buttery and flaky and tasted like an elevated cinnamon roll. I Quiche 6/10 - I had the become gruyère cheese. The flavor was really good so I kept eating it but it was SO salty it was very difficult to eat. If the salt was adjusted this would be delicious. Cherry scone 5/10 - the didn't have the texture of a scone to me, it was more cake on the inside than crumbly + I didn't really like the flavor.

Quiche Lorraine
Felinn A.

Very cute and quaint place on the Main Street in oakland. Heard about this place off of tik tok and it didn't disappoint! Our favorite menu item was the cinnamon rolls, which came out warm and fresh with a super gooey center, sauce and frosting. Very heavy on the orange flavor if you enjoy that. Along with that we got the quiche Lorraine and veggie quiche both yummy when warmed up that was accompanied by a salad. The veggie quiche reminded me of a ratatouille x ravioli dish. Sat inside to eat and the owner was very welcoming and descriptive with all his items! Very kind and helpful. Only thoughts were I wish there was a way to read/view the baked goods/pastries for sale, and that the cinnamon roll was featured for more people to know about. As someone walking in with no prior knowledge they would be greatly missing out!

Everything was sinfully divine. Stopped in for breakfast and it was the right move. Cinnamon Roll - a gooey bread pudding-like situation. Breakfast Sammie's - the biscuit, the bbq sauce, the hefty egg Carrot loaf Coffee cake muffin Chicken and fig sandwich - schmaltzy Coming back for Thanksgiving pick up. Owner was also so gracious and patient with our 3 kids taking their sweet time to order.

Turkey pesto croissant
Amanda S.

Small bakery with both sweet and savory items. Counter service, but there are a few bar stools and little nooks to sit in if you like. I came on an early Saturday afternoon and there was a little bit of a way because they were pretty busy. But staff were friendly and accommodating. The turkey pesto croissant was my favorite item. I'd come back just for that!

Lemon (Puckered Up) Cheesecake, I Love New York Cheesecake, Vegan Cheesecake, and Cinna-YEAH-MON! Bun.

The cinnamon rolls are divine! The frosting is light and fresh not heavy and granular. Everything we had was delicious! Nice staff and local business for the win. Colorful atmosphere. Love them.

I got the New York cheesecake, sweet potato cake, peach cobbler, and chocolate chip walnut cookie. The New York cheesecake was incredible. The tang of the cream cheese was prominent and refreshing, emphasized by the thick layer of sour cream on top. The crust was thin but crispy and the cake was a beautiful golden brown. Easily the best thing I ate from this place. The sweet potato cake was very alike a carrot cake but a bit richer. The cake was moist and not very sweet potato forward but nicely spiced. In between the two layers of cake and on top of them was a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. Even as someone with a major sweet tooth, I found the sugar level of the frosting to be way too much for the amount I was given. After eating this slice, I would not want to eat sugar for a week at least. The peach cobbler was not to my taste. I prefer a crispier topping, and found that the cobbler was just mush with some peaches. It was well spiced, but I found the flavor a bit perfume-like. We popped it in the oven to crisp it up and, though it was improved, I still did not enjoy the flavor or mushy texture. The chocolate chip and walnut cookie was classic and comforting, but very well done. The cookie itself was nutty and well toasted, which balanced beautifully with the slight bitterness of the chocolate chips. The walnuts added to the crunch of the cookie but the cookie itself was on the softer side with a slight crisp around the edges. Overall, I would definitely go back and try more desserts. There were so many options and even then most things were already sold out. It's a cute and small bakery that definitely has some tasty surprises!

Overall, it's been a good experience every time. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. Most of the parking is on the street, so you'll need to keep an eye out for pedestrians and bicyclists while looking for a spot. That's probably the biggest inconvenience of visiting this place. There is usually a 15 to 20-minute wait whenever we come for dessert, but we've always been seated within the quoted wait time, which we appreciate. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so the dining area can feel crowded. Tables are very close together, and you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests. Because of this, the noise level can get pretty high, and it's easy to overhear conversations from nearby tables. The desserts are the highlight here. The BingSu is excellent, and the lava cake is one of our favorites. The menu is accessed through a QR code, making ordering simple and convenient. Food portions are decent, although prices are definitely on the premium side. Service is efficient, and the food and desserts usually arrive pretty quickly. We used to go to their city location regularly, but over the years we've found ourselves visiting this location more often because the area feels more comfortable and convenient for us. That has made this our go-to spot whenever we're craving dessert. Overall, this is a great place for dessert. The quality of the desserts keeps us coming back, but the difficult parking situation and cramped seating prevent it from being a full 5-star experience. Would definitely return for the BingSu and lava cake.
