Yellow watermelon sorbet is in season and it's soooo good! Highly recommend. We also got the cookie butter strawberry and it tasted like a strawberry shortcake. Really nice for the summer
Perhaps one of my favorite ice cream spots in the area? Highlights: samples! And you can try them all! I also liked that they were on metal spoons haha. The ice cream quality was creamy not icy and the range of flavors were so fun (reminded me of garden creamery in SF). Service/ambiance: the workers were very nice and patient. There was also plenty of seating. Parking can be a little tough but we lucked out coming on a Monday night.
Got a single scoop split into the breakfast brownie and raspberry lychee. I loved how the breakfast brownie had a crunch from the corn flakes and was not overwhelmingly chocolate. The raspberry lychee had a vanilla base and was stirred in so it's not a sorbet but the flavors still came through. The ice cream itself was pretty soft and creamy. I love their unique flavors!

I was able to try multiple flavors, and decided on two for a single split scoop. - Banana w/ dulce de leche - the banana flavor is very strong with a splash of sweetness. It reminds me of caramelized bananas. 10/10 - Hojicha - very true to the traditional flavor, also 10/10!
Have an ice cream before or after a meal is your moral imperative. It's creamy, it's delicious, it's sinful, it's Miharu! We totally discovered this place after having delicious pizza, when the plan was to literally have a snack, and we've already moved onto ice cream. There are reasons that they say a diet will start on a Monday... This place was absolutely packed! The line move slow, but it is so worth it. More than likely, they're giving samples to customers, answering questions, and trying to make sure that everyone is being taken care of. How could they not be when they have this amazing ice cream to look forward to?!? This is by no means your basic ice cream parlor, this is so far elevated above that, but if you like ice cream, please put this on your must try list! All of their flavors are super unique, made in house, and, did I mention how incredibly delicious and decadent it is?! I had to have the pandan with ginger. It's everything that I wanted it to be. It was sweet, it was perfection, it was probably the best day of ice cream I've had in a hot minute. This is exactly the reason why I visit at the Bay Area. Cute little store in Oakland, absolutely worth the push for parking, etc. just to go have this fabulous ice cream.
Just came here today to get some ice cream. Very cute spot so close to bart/bus zones and close to the lake. We walked from Adam's Point. Outdoor and indoor seating plus bathrooms which is always nice to have especially if walking all day and need to empty your bladder!!!! I just dont know if these Asian fusion ice cream places are for me. We sampled a few flavors - i went with the breakfast brownie bites, hubby got the coconut cake and child went for the vegan dark chocolate. Hers was the best but tad too rich. Rest was bit blah and way to sweet for me. Just going to stick to regular flavors because I dont think this is for us.

It has the perfect strong lychee flavor with a lovely floral note, making it such a refreshing and memorable treat.
The ice cream flavor combinations were unique and wonderful! Servers were more than happy to offer samples as requested! All the staff were very patient, attentive, and friendly! The ambiance and decor of the store was perfect for their themeing and unique flavors! It takes me 13 minutes to walk here and I'm not much of a walker but I might become one just to try more of their flavors :o)
There's a wide variety of unique, Asian-inspired flavors here. I sampled most of the flavors - for me, their most popular flavors (breakfast brownie, banana dulce de leche) were far too sweet and honestly a bit basic. The lychee raspberry was quite mild tasting and very refreshing. The pandan ginger was one of the most unique flavors ice cream flavors I've had, it had a unique texture that complemented the pandan flavor very well. I'm not sure if the pandan is mixed with ginger in the ice cream itself but if it is then it's not that strong; the ginger bits are a great addition to the ice cream though. The staff is super nice, they let me sample as many flavors as I wanted (albeit likely because no one else was in line). 4.7/5
This little delightful spot is quite the nice spot to polish off dinner in Oakland. Wasn't too crazy busy Sunday evening, but the flavors are unique and really hit that spot. I'd honestly toss it up between here and the monthly Salt & Straw flavors (my usual go to), which is quite the compliment. Remarkably complex flavors and you can get them with all the fixings and not overbearingly sweet. Staff were also very helpful in navigating us to the parfait of our evening dreams, so only praise for their patience for an indecisive group of three. We ended up going with their banana-split, but subbing out the cosmo for three other interesting flavors (Lychee, Qahwa=arabic-coffee, Dark choco). Faaantastic.
Vand JonAnthony made this experience so pleasant! Walking in and seeing empty ice cream containers was a huge bummer. Surprise surprise they had it all in the back. V and JonAnthony were literally the most engaged Ice Cream scoopers I have seen in quite a while. They really don't make them like that anymore. No regrets!
This is a small place down at Telegraph Avenue. My friend from out of town really wanted us to try their ice cream. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I'm so happy we tried it. It exceeded my expectations. First of all, the cashiers were so nice to us. They made good conversation and allowed us to try different flavors as we were a bit indecisive. They were very patient and forgiving with us and I really appreciated that. Additionally, they accommodated to us wanted to try the bruleed bananas without going for a sundae. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the exact flavors we got, but I do remember really enjoying the ice cream. The creme-bruleed banana was very unique and an amazing addition to the ice cream. This is definitely a place to go try new and unique flavors as well as toppings. I hope they're able to had waffle bowls in the future. I really think that will elevate their ice cream even more. Overall a 5/5 :)

Perfect balance of sweetness. The decor inside is so cute and I appreciate the wall that described the ice cream flavors.

Everything about Miharu is beyond stellar. The staff are always super enthusiastic about getting you to try samples and I love that they will always tell me which one their current favorite is because it helps me to narrow down which ones to sample. Also, whoever they have making their flavors is super creative! They list out all the flavors on the wall on super cute little ice cream scoop cut outs for you to browse while you wait in line. It is definitely more of a takeout ice cream spot with not a ton of seating so you either gotta get lucky with seating, wait for a spot, or take it to go. We got the pandan strawberry and the milk & cookies + cream. Next time I stop by I really want to try out their sundae! read more

This is my favorite ice cream shop! Their popular flavors will sell out, especially toward the end of the day. I won't tell you my favorites, but you will find yours quickly. My favorite way to order my ice cream here is to bring a friend, get the banana split, agree on 3 flavors, agree on the toppings, ask for the banana brûlée'd. I love the staff here. They are all so kind. &when it's not too busy, they are fun to talk to. Parking is on the street, you may have to circle a bunch. I never have too hard of a time. But believe me, if you feel inconvenienced by that, you will forget about it once you get their ice cream in your mouth! read more

Came here on a whim about 10 minutes before closing and there was a line out the door - phew! We barely made it. Seeing this line, gave me confidence this spot was legit good. Once I got inside, took a peep at the menu and saw there were a variety of flavors to choose from, all mixed with very unique ingredients, many I had not seen used before in ice cream. I sampled a few flavors and everything tasted amazing! The staff let me know everything is made in-house, literally in the back from scratch which is pretty cool that it's not mass produced. I decided on getting a single scoop ($5.50) with 2 different seasonal flavors (many ice cream shops don't offer this anymore without charging extra or going up a size, definitely a pleasant surprise!). My flavors were the Kinoko Honeycomb and Cookie Butter with Strawberry. YUM! There were so many other flavors (vegan included) I wanted, but I'll get them next time I visit. Keep in mind - the seasonal flavors do change out, but there isn't a specific date or time when it does. When you're about to check out, you can sign up for their rewards program, which I highly recommend if you intend on coming back for more :). There is seating along the windows, but may not be best for large groups. Outdoors has a chill vibe - Yay Area music bumpin' FTW. If you're in the area and looking for a sweet spot, don't hesitate - make your way to Miharu to get your fix! read more
Many unique flavors and friendly service! On a Tuesday night, there was a long line after dinner for this ice cream shop. We tried their Breakfast Brownie and Midnight Choco Pie flavors in a double scoop. The portion size was reasonable and we were more than full after dinner. I loved the caramel and brownie tastes of the Breakfast Brownie Flavor, and it went well with another chocolaty flavor, which had delicious vegan choco pie. Would love to try their selection of fruity flavors in the future! read more
I'm a loyal Salt & Straw fan, but this spot just might give them a serious run for their money. The fusion flavors are next-level creative--think brown butter peach (buttery, nutty perfection with a juicy bite of ripe peach) and lychee raspberry rose (floral, tart, and silky all at once). Every bite made me wish the ice cream wouldn't melt in my mouth. Service was equally sweet--the woman behind the counter was so patient with our indecision, happily walking us through the most popular picks and letting us try generous samples. Points for the compostable spoons that are user friendly (curved just right). I'll definitely be back to work my way through the entire menu. Ahhhh LOVE read more

They have a seasonal menu with special flavors. - 4.5/5: Lychee with a rose swirl. - 4.5: Breakfast brownies: A vanilla base, with a mix in that uses Caramelized praline brittle nuts and brownie bits. - 4.0: Kinako hazelnut. - 3.0: Tasted: Lemon w/ berry swirl: Generic citrus flavor. - 3.0: Tasted: Banana leche: too sweet, too one-note, no banana flavor. - 3.0: Tasted: Blood orange: tastes like candy; generic sweet. - 3.0: Rose / black sesame: Too mild. It has black sesame crunch mix in. - 2.8: Red velvet cream cheese. Flavor is too mild. The red velvet ripple is not interesting. - 2.7: Vegan chocolate: more like a frozen sauce. Too pasty. She was explaining how the seasonal flavors grew on her, especially with the 1 Indian flavor that she didn't grow up with since she is Pakistani. Salted Butter -- very subtle hint of butter flavor, not so creamy. Lavender Tea -- floral nodes of lavender blended into an ice cream. It was not too overpowering. The combo of these flavors were good, the ice cream was more on the icy side rather than smooth and creamy. The scoops are small. This place seems popular, there were many people sitting outside and inside and there was a decent line, before I got my scoops. read more
One of the best ice cream places in the East Bay! There is a huge variety in flavors, and each one is delicate and not too heavy. It's not overly sweet like some ice cream places are. Maybe my favorite ice cream spot in the East Bay. 1. Just wow! The flavors here are creative and homey, and they feel personal. I highly recommend sampling all the flavors that pique your interest because you may walk away with a few favorites. 2. My absolute favorite flavor here is qahwa. I'm not a coffee ice cream person and I get this flavor every visit so that says quite a bit. They describe qahwa as a "bright, fruity, and slightly roasted coffee ice cream with lovely sweet spiciness of cardamom", which sounds like perfection to me. They nailed this flavor. The coffee flavor is strong but creamy and the cardamom is not overly strong, it's just a great pairing. 3. My second favorite flavor is breakfast brownie, which is described as 'caramelized crunchy cornflakes, fudgy brownie chunks all mixed into our sweet cream ice cream'. Like what more can you want? The cornflakes are still crunchy and the brownie chunks are chewy, just so yum. 4. They recently opened a second location in Berkeley, and I can't wait to visit. read more

OKAY Miharu, I'm a fan. A big one. You have a unique menu of flavors and your ice cream is super smooth and creamy with the right notes flavor. I am obsessed with the mild earthy Mugicha (roasted barley tea) and the blood orange fennel crunch is a notable tastebud tingler! The breakfast brownie with cornflakes and brownies is a tasty textural treat. Props to the ice cream staff who let me have a ton of samples! For the plant based pop, they are also very vegan friendly with coconut milk base for some of the flavors. The ambiance is very colorful and welcoming. It's next to Hot Bird so it's the perfect place for a cool treat afterwards. There is metered street parking but can be busy/challenging to find a spot during rush hour. Of course I'll be back and would love to try the lychee with raspberry rose next time! read more

Since it was a hot day, I decided to stop by for some ice cream after a meeting nearby. There was a short line when I went, but by the time I left there was a long line out the door. Ice cream pints and cookies were also available. After sampling a few flavors, I decided on a Split Single Scoop in a cup ($6.06) w/Lychee Raspberry Rose & Pineapple Upside Down. +No extra charge for split scoops (up to 2 flavors)! +Both flavors weren't too sweet. +Lychee was refreshing and strong in the Lychee Raspberry Rose. +Pineapple Upside Down was filled with chunks of caramelized pineapple cake in a refreshing coconut pineapple ice cream. +Compostable cups and spoons -Ice cream was on the icier side and not as creamy as other ice creams I've had. -The homemade raspberry rose sauce in the Lychee Raspberry Rose was icy, so the flavors didn't come through as strongly. Side notes: 1.) Cones were $1.00 extra. 2.) Restroom available for customers. 3.) Plenty of colorful indoor table and stool seating 4.) Located across the street from Uptown Station *Verdict: Unique ice cream flavors w/friendly service. If I was in the area, I wouldn't mind stopping by to try their other flavors. read more
Absolutely love these local ice cream shops that create their own unique flavors, incorporate different ethnic specialties, and always have a rotating menu! I ordered lavender tea and shrikhand this time. I found the lavender tea flavor to be more mild, but very creamy in a good way. It wasn't too sweet and overpowering, and exactly like how a tea should be. Shrikhand was a vegan option which usually isn't my thing, but I wanted to give something new a try, and it wasn't bad at all, just not my favorite compared to all the other options. The biggest downside was how difficult it was to find street parking in this area. If it weren't for that, I could see myself coming here pretty often in the summer :') read more
Huge fan of these kind of ice cream places where they have handcrafted unique flavors. I heard they rotate flavors every month so I may have to come back at least once a month!I ordered their single split scoop and got their Qahwa and Lychee with Raspberry Rose. They're both great choices tbh. I love all things coffee flavor but the lychee flavor stood out more than the Qahwa. They have a few tables and a long counter for those that wants to chill and eat. Vibes here are pretty chill. The guy behind the counter was also really nice too. He was very personable with all of the customers. Long story short.. good ice cream and good vibes. 5 stars! read more
The server with the glasses was such a nice guy. Usually workers at ice cream places look like they want to kill you when you ask for multiple samples but this guy let us try almost every flavor. All of the flavors are very unique and was yummy :) read more
