Oh yea baby! The food here is simply good. This our 4th time to stop in here. We had the Airline Chicken. Very good. Lots of flavors at work. Yes we split an order. It worked for us, but it was so good I could have eaten an entree on my own. Added 1 side of asparagus. It was a great meal. I used to travel to this town for years on business. Amazing service and excellent menu with interesting and tasteful mix of ingredients. We did any early dinner before going to an evening event for a Friday evening, so there were very few customers but still there was great vibe to the restaurant. Totally unexpected for downtown Amarillo, will be back the next time we travel to Amarillo. We had an amazing experience here. We ordered the mussels which are flown in fresh I believe they said 2x a week. Then I had the wedge salad which was so good. And then I went with mushrooms and the quail. All of the food was incredible and surprising for Amarillo. Both my husband and I were super impressed. We had a Peach Salad, Filet Minion, Mushroom and Apricot Risotto, Mashed Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts; everything was prepared to perfection and had great flavor. Esperanza waited on us and was so personable and attentive. She made a great recommendation on the 2 cabs we were trying to choose from. First off, the host and hostess were extremely rude when we said we didn't have a reservation and suggested upstairs ~might~ have space but you'll have to see. Reviews from my summer road trip: This spot had shade, outdoor seating, and cold iced tea: the three key ingredients for most of our restaurant choices when driving across the south, in the summer, with a small dog. Not to mention finding things that weren't too far from the highway when we were in the middle of some of our longer driving days. So for convenience and a chance to drive through the streets of Amarillo, this place was fine. However, when it came to the veggie friendly options, all I really found was a summery salad with peaches that I held the cheese on. Not everywhere is going to be perfect, so I'm glad to find at least one thing to eat to tide me over on a long travel day, but not the perfect option if you are hungry and veg in Amarillo. read more

We were driving through Amarillo and enjoyed a delicious meal here at crush. As mentioned in other reviews there is a great bar and wine selection. My favorite part by far was the fact that there were so many GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! They also identified this on the menu and had gluten free bread available. The ribeye and mushes potatoes tasted decent, the cheese curds were the best thing lol, and cheesecake was okay. Salmon sucked. However.... the RISOTTO needs to be taken OFF the menu. We tried this trendy place in downtown Amarillo. Walking in the vibe was pretty cool. They have a good selection of wine. Our food was a disappointment. A pasta entrée said it came with asparagus, peas and some additional vegetables I literally found two peas and one small chopped piece of asparagus - very bland. The truffle mac & cheese is not as good as the mac & cheese from a box - there was no truffle taste whatsoever. A food runner bounced over to take our plates and asked if we wanted our check, we felt like we were being rushed out they were maybe only five tables full. What about another drink or dessert? The real gem of this place is the rooftop bar with live music. We had to ask where the live music was coming from - skip the restaurant and go straight upstairs for a fun time...just eat before you come! read more

Crush is the type of restaurant you don't want to leave after you finish your meal. The interior design is just impeccable and gives off the coolest vibe! I really enjoy their signature cocktails and their gorgeous bar. Their food is kinda pricy but most of it is reasonable, rightfully so. This place is great for big parties and has a lovely rooftop patio! The location is in a up and coming part of Amarillo and is fun to explore! We are new to Amarillo and this was our first time going to Crush. First and foremost, our waitress Brandee was amazing. She was so nice and helpful. We also had an amazing bartender, Josh, he made some of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. Not to mention, I'm always nervous going to a steak house, because I'm pretty picky about how I like my steak cooked, but Crush absolutely nailed it. It was by far one of the best blue rare steaks I have ever had. The ambiance was also impeccable. It was all around an amazing eating experience. This place was absolutely amazing!! The wine, the food, the industrial upscale ambiance...the entire experience! I was pleasantly surprised by their wine list and the fact that they had Prisoner wine on an infused tap! I tried a Red Blend called Ripasso from Italy as well as had 2 glasses of Prisoner. They also have a huge cellar with over 300 wines to choose from to enjoy in the restaurant or for purchase to take home. To eat, we shared Jalapeño Cheese Curds, Shrimp Sliders and a main course of a sausage fennel ravioli with lobster claws. Delish!!! Upstairs has a patio that overlooks downtown Amarillo and was a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine. Very sexy and a perfect date spot! Was on a cross country trip with my son and we stopped in Amarillo for lunch and gas. We were for the place next door but they were closed for some reason and Crush was right there and convenient. Mind you, we are on a cross country trip so we're just in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. We walk in and notice it seems somewhat upscale but the host was friendly and sat us immediately. As we we perusing the menu it became apparent the lunchtime business folks were staring at us. Now neither one of us are bad to look at but we got the impression the stares were due to our overly casual attire yet we were not deterred. We place our order of one Cubano, and one Da Club with our friendly waiter. The food was very, very good despite the gawkers and the price was excellent - great lunch for two under $20. The chips are home made and they offer fruit or quinoa in lieu of chips if you're watching your calories. I'd highly recommend this place but if you go there for lunch dress up a bit or sit at the separate bar so you don't rule the locals. Enjoy! read more

We stopped here twice on a road trip to Colorado and we loved it each time. We sat outside for drinks the first time and ate at the bar the second time. Loved the truffle fries and their cocktails were fantastic. The service was great both times. Everyone we met was super friendly and knowledgeable on the wines. The wine list gives a great variety and there really is something for everyone. There is also a large selection of craft beers. They also have a rooftop area, but we never went up there. So come to find out, there is a bunch of crap closed on Monday's around this area. If you are wondering, don't start yelping and finding all these awesome things to eat, only to be disappointed that it is Monday. So I have to say, this was not our first choice. The wife grabbed a cocktail and so did I. I didn't see anything on the beer menu that caught my eye. I grab the el cucuy cocktail. It had a nice cucumber flavor to it and had a bit of spice. I could drink them all night. Wife and I noticed the kungpao street tacos at the same time. We both wanted to try them and the steak street tacos so we went with an order of both. The steak tacos were decent. Had some heat to them. The steak was tender. They were good. Just nothing amazing. Those kungpao tacos tho. Those things were on point. We should have went with two order. The flavor was spot on. The chicken was moist and tender. The wife tried to not split the third taco with me. If you are looking for some grub, don't be afraid to stop in and try this spot. It was good. Even though this was our fourth choice in places to eat, we were not disappointed at all! read more
