Who says you can't go home again? After several months of not eating here I decided to get a couple slices. January 2 was the day because they were closed New Years Day. Exactly the same as my last visit. Pizza was soggy, not crispy. Needed two hands and a fork because the cheese and toppings slid off the slice as soon as I picked it up. Garbage by the front door full, bathroom garbage pail overflowing. Same tired, dirty baseboards and a bathroom I can't even describe. Using a Porta Potty at a construction site would be more appealing. To the owner, why bother owning a business if you're not going to take pride in it? read more

Crust has the best pizza around. Their dough is home-made just like their delicious sauce! Too many places on Long Island use large-scale production pizza dough and generic sauce these days, and it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. They're still doing it the right way at Crust. The owner and his daughter are so kind and welcoming, it's really nice to go into a local place and be treated like a neighbor instead of a stranger. Sorry I was busy to take pictures. Yesterday was my son's third birthday and all he wanted was pepperoni pizza. I promised him we would be able to make it together, I always make the pizza and the Stromboli homemade for birthdays especially. Unfortunately, my son's newborn sister kept me up most of the night. We decided to try this restaurant for pizza. I called up explaining when I needed the delivery to be in time for the guests and they delivered exactly when I asked. Small town east end Pizza shop that makes standard and creative Pizza. When I stopped in I saw trays of just made meatballs cooling in the back and gave a hero a try. While waiting the owner cut a slice of their garlic knot slice pizza in two and gave them to me to try and bring one out for my friend waiting in the car. Lots of delicious flavor on what was a nice crispy chewy crust. They are really good at old fashioned Italian style Pizza & Heros. Generous with ingredients & hospitality. That's Italian! It's really a shame because the pizza here is excellent -- but the service can be god awful especially after an experience I just had. I came in wanting a pie with a special message spelled out in toppings. Not only was the man behind the counter extremely gruff, rude and careless with a nasty attitude, but the pizza came out absolutely terrible. So much so, that I had to go elsewhere to get what I needed, and not only was a treated amazingly by the other place, but their pizza was also great. This man at Crust put a damp cloud over a happy occasion and should really be ashamed of the way he conducted himself. We ordered a pizza, wings, and knots delivered on super bowl Sunday. The wings and knots were PERFECT. Seriously wasn't expecting that. The garlic knots were crisp on the outside and fluffy/chewy on the inside. And the wings were crisp and flavorful. I'm always iffy about wings from pizza places but these were fantastic. I came here having to go to bathroom. After driving for a while. I was polite and did nothing wrong to the girl behind the counter. She was so rude. I asked "do you have a bathroom and can I use it." She says "no it's for customers only and says there's other places you can use." (In a snarky way) then I said okay I really have to go can you tell Me where these places are? And With the nastiest attitude and rolling her eyes at me she says"There's 4 other stores in this parking lot use one of them." I said okay thank you have a good day. She says nothing and rolls her eyes at me again. ( I prefer to be kind to nasty people maybe they'll see the error of there ways) In the parking lot there is a florist a hairdresser and that's pretty much it. So most people will choose the food place to ask first. I would assume. All I did was ask to use the bathroom. If this is how she treats people asking a simple question I can imagine how many people she's nasty to. She's in customer service you are suppose to be nice to everyone. Especially when they did nothing to you. This could be the best pizza in the world and I would never go here simply because it's an uncomfortable experience. They lost a future customer. It's a shame. I'm not sure what I did to deserve such negative treatment but I sure won't ever go near this place again. And I'm not mad at all that I wasn't aloud to use the bathroom, that's the establishments right to only allow customers to use the bathroom. I'm upset that this girl treated me poorly. This is only the second time trying this new pizza joint. First time, after it had just open, left me not needing to get back there anytime soon. I decided to give them another try after a friend had said their pies have improved and I'm happy for the tip! I got a large cheese pie and asked the crust to be cooked well done. I'm born and raised in a Sicilian family. Hands down, this is the best Bruschetta pie on Long Island.
