Take and bake pizza for the win! We've ordered take and bake pizza from Crust recently and we will return again soon. The menu is large. Lots of options. We've done standard pizzas, the Sicilian (deep dish) pizza and specialty pizzas (ie the Maui Wowie and BBQ Chicken). While all of them were very good - I was particularly fond of the Sicilian. The deep, thick crust baked perfectly in our oven - I have to say I was genuinely angry at myself for only ordering a small (four cut). A couple of tips: - The parking lot is small be patient. - The staff clearly works very hard, but I have always had to wait a few minutes (10 minutes) past the stated pick-up time. I think - especially for take-and-bake - give it a few extra minutes. And be cool if your pizza takes a few extra minutes to be ready - its great quality and, again, the staff is clearly working hard. - If you have flexibility in your schedule consider ordering and picking up before the rush/dinner hour. Parking will be easier and you can store the unbaked pies in your fridge.

This is a small little family feeling pizza joint in the south hills .. lot of take out business but there are a few nice tables inside that you can eat in...they have a good loyal customer base - you can tell when you go in and how they interact with their customers What's good? Pretty much everything we try. Last night we got pizza, steak salad, buffalo chicken salad and their yummy chili ( yes chili). We have also tried the wedges and wings and yes they also have wedding soup! The pizza has a good ratio of sauce and cheese and love the sprinkle of cheese on the crust! The ranch is homemade and so yummy and the chili has the right amount of heat to want to have another bowl. Now for the people. The crew is super friendly and helpful. One of the reasons ( besides the good food) that we go back Back here for yet another great pizza night! We had chili, Sicilian and buffalo chicken. All were delicious! Parking lot was packed tonight so it was "stacked up".... but the staff is great and the pizza is always good! We took BYOB tonight which you are allowed to do !

Extra large Sicilian w pepperoni. Wow wow wow.

Update: a bit confused about recent the recent price increase for the Sicilian pizza. Last time my boyfriend and I ordered an XL pepperoni Sicilian style for $18, and I was amazed at the great price for what we got. This time around it, we noticed the menu said .30 cents per topping PER SLICE for Sicilian. So if you wanted 2 toppings for an XL Sicilian (16 slices) it would come to about $31. This time for one topping we paid $26 for the pizza. I think this is a steep price now. Yes, the pizza is amazing, but the only baked Sicilian takeout option is XL. The other sizes you have to cook yourself. We won't come here as often now because it's not as affordable as it was a few months ago. I will say the wings were incredible. We might have to start just getting those and skip out on the pricey Sicilian. ---------------------------------------------------- Wow, you HAVE to try their Sicilian pizza. It is just incredible. It's thick, buttery, and crunchy. They put the perfect amount of sauce on it; not too much but just enough! My boyfriend and I ordered takeout last month and got a regular pizza, and when we got home it was so soggy and droopy that we had to bake it again ourselves. That wasn't the best experience, however this recent experience definitely made up for it. I drive about 25 minutes to get this, (mind you pizza isn't one of my favorite things), but this is a new favorite of mine. If I'm ever craving pizza, I'll need it to be up to this standard. Prices are pretty fair. We got this extra large pizza for $18, and for the quality of this pizza, I would pay that any day. We will be back soon to order another Sicilian and maybe to try a hoagie als!

I cannot say it is the best pizza I have had because different styles are all amazing. This is a unique style and I love it. The sauce was amazing, the ricotta cheese was so delicious and their meatballs were tremendous. What I loved was the crust - it had some chew and some tug; there was a little bit of char on the outside and the bottom. The meatballs were delicious and that sauce! The vodka sauce was perfect. I would have thought I would have missed the standard cheese on a pizza but the ricotta was super good. I placed my order on their website and it was easy; I was able to pay using my Apple Pay, which was a plus. We arrived and it was ready but we stood talking to the men in the shop and they were so kind. They asked us questions about us when they learned we had, recently, moved here. It comes with vodka sauce, Lupe's meatballs, house cheese blend, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and fresh basil leaves. Nicely charred crust. All cheese is blended together and piped in rosettes on top of the pizza. Tastes so good and looks amazing. Walk in the front door and give your name for pickup. To the right are a couple upright cold cases filled with drinks, salad, etc. Located a short 15 minute drive from Shadyside. Can't wait to return and try more pizza.

As a new Yorker, it's so very hard to impress me when it comes to Pizza! I'm the pickiest! A true pizza snob! But this place was well worth all the hype! Underrated if you ask me! All of the staff were very friendly, and helped me decide what to try. It definitely gives "family vibes" as soon as you walk in there. It's the definition of a hole in the wall, but I loved it. I live all the way in east Pittsburgh by plum and I drive ALLL the way over to Brookline, through the tunnels and under the bridges and over the bridges and under the tunnels again LOL. Its 100% worth the drive. No other pizza will do. Also the provolone Sticks are to die for. Literally, I almost died. So cheesy! Be warned its a mouth full haha.

The sauce is sweet and the cheese is a nice blend. Call in or walk in ordering. They do now take credit cards but charge a fee. Two slides of pepperoni is ~$10. There are a few tables if you want to eat in. Place gets super busy. Cell service is pretty non existent, this plays in if you want to tap and pay.

This shop will cook your pizza half cooked, as a lot of people like. We like ours well done cooked even longer than maybe the traditional cook time so we always request that. When my son went to pick up our pizza it was already sitting on the counter it had not been 15 since minutes since the order was placed. When he grabbed the box it was kinda wet on the bottom of box so we don't know if they set it on the counter on top of something ,but it was more than just extra sauce and onions that made the soggy like they assumed. We tried to recook it and when we took the pizza out of the box all the cardboard inside of the box was wet like something had been literally poured inside the box. I could barely get it out because it was so soggy it was falling apart. We live less than 5 minutes driving time so it was not from steam and cooking it more once we got home did not help it was that wet.. I have never seen pizza that soggy. I had my son call and they did not offer anything except advice on not to order onions or extra sauce when its humid out. We would have like a re-cooked pizza and to return the one we had especially since we had company. It was too wet to pick up a slice and inedible. So, if the owners see this maybe they'd like to somehow rectify it because now I have to start my grill to feed my company. Furthermore, if a customer orders extra sauce and onions on a pizza that.we are asking to be cooked well done an your only job is to cook pizza, you should advise the customer that it won't be crisp. We've ordered it that way before.. and as I said this was far beyond just soggy it was literally wet..and the 2 that ventured to eat it ,now have a stomach ache. It was most certainly undercooked and so wet it couldn't even be rebaked.

I absolutely adore the servers here, as they're always super happy to give me new recommendations on what to order! Their wings are the literally best wings I've ever had, and I especially love that you can get them smoked to get that charred flavor. My favorite flavors are the mango habanero and the spicy lime, but there are still so many flavors I'm excited to try. I also love ordering a side of seasoned fries and garlic bread to dip into the extra wing sauce!! Their fries and garlic bread are crispy to perfection; you genuinely won't find better anywhere else. I also tried the chicken bacon ranch pizza as per their recommendation, and it was soooo cheesy and yummy! Aside from the food being so delicious, my favorite part about coming here is the sense of community you get. They have couches and TVs where customers love to sit to enjoy their food, and it makes for a super cozy and comfortable environment. I also notice so many regulars who love this restaurant and come back either weekly or daily, and it really shows how great the store's bond is with their customers.
