Take and bake pizza for the win! We've ordered take and bake pizza from Crust recently and we will return again soon. The menu is large. Lots of options. We've done standard pizzas, the Sicilian (deep dish) pizza and specialty pizzas (ie the Maui Wowie and BBQ Chicken). While all of them were very good - I was particularly fond of the Sicilian. The deep, thick crust baked perfectly in our oven - I have to say I was genuinely angry at myself for only ordering a small (four cut). A couple of tips: - The parking lot is small be patient. - The staff clearly works very hard, but I have always had to wait a few minutes (10 minutes) past the stated pick-up time. I think - especially for take-and-bake - give it a few extra minutes. And be cool if your pizza takes a few extra minutes to be ready - its great quality and, again, the staff is clearly working hard. - If you have flexibility in your schedule consider ordering and picking up before the rush/dinner hour. Parking will be easier and you can store the unbaked pies in your fridge.

This is a small little family feeling pizza joint in the south hills .. lot of take out business but there are a few nice tables inside that you can eat in...they have a good loyal customer base - you can tell when you go in and how they interact with their customers What's good? Pretty much everything we try. Last night we got pizza, steak salad, buffalo chicken salad and their yummy chili ( yes chili). We have also tried the wedges and wings and yes they also have wedding soup! The pizza has a good ratio of sauce and cheese and love the sprinkle of cheese on the crust! The ranch is homemade and so yummy and the chili has the right amount of heat to want to have another bowl. Now for the people. The crew is super friendly and helpful. One of the reasons ( besides the good food) that we go back Back here for yet another great pizza night! We had chili, Sicilian and buffalo chicken. All were delicious! Parking lot was packed tonight so it was "stacked up".... but the staff is great and the pizza is always good! We took BYOB tonight which you are allowed to do !

Extra large Sicilian w pepperoni. Wow wow wow.

Very good! Tasty! Took out and it was hot and so flavorful! We will be back! The parking lot is a bit scary but other than that it was good!

I don't eat pork, if I didn't notice it in my salad I could have eaten it. Thank goodness I'm not allergic. I also got cold fries and had to get them made again. The fries are a little salty but still a good flavor and crunchy! The salad was super yummy once it was fixed. And I got the Autumn Fall Apple and Pear with the Apple Cider Vinegar instead of what it comes with which is the poppyseed. All in all it was good and I will be back. The prices are great and everyone is friendly!

The young lady at the register said that "they don't make those anymore"? I ended up just getting the "make your own burger" and made it EXACTLY the same way as the hello bistro burger meal. So idk why that was an issue. It took over 30 minutes for a burger w/ fries and a salad. Fries were cold and were not fresh. Burger looked like it was thrown against the wall and then wrapped up. Salad was nothing special. I wasn't a huge fan of it. I ate half the burger and acouple bites of the salad and just threw it away. I paid $30 for trash!!! Will not be returning.

There is some seating inside, but it's mostly a takeout joint. Also note that the parking is a little awkward, with some level of uncertainty around whether you might be blocked in. Other than that, this seems like a pleasant and well-run establishment. Our order was ready to go exactly when it was expected to be. In terms of the food, almost everything was fantastic. The salad rolls (fresh rolls) were excellent. A nice combination of flavors and textures, with just enough basil and lettuce flavor and crunch. The accompanying dipping sauce was equally good. The rolls also look significantly better than the photos on the web site. The tom yum soup was equally flavorful and well crafted. I generally stand at the ready with extra fish sauce and a squeeze of lime, but that was completely unnecessary here. The papaya salad was a bit of a miss, and the woon sen pad Thai was as well. Both seemed a little flat and in need of extra flavor. The red curry and sweet and sour stir fry were both excellent. Taken as a whole, everything was great. We opted for spiciness levels between 6 and 8 for various items, and that seemed like a good range for us. All told, this is an excellent destination. It's not the world's most convenient location, but it's among the better Thai restaurants I've tried in Pittsburgh. Well worth checking out.

Prices were a tad high, especially for the spring rolls ($8.50), but the green curry ($16.90) was totally worth it and portion sizes were good. Had my first visit here on a Friday evening this past August. We met a few of our friends here to…read moreenjoy a night out with some beer, food, and live music. I have previously heard of Truss and seen them around the community at different events, but was excited to finally try them at their storefront. Truss Brewing Company is located in Pleasant Hills, just off of Route 51. This building has been other businesses throughout the years before Truss took over. It is clearly marked and easy to locate. There is a private parking lot in the rear, but they will have it closed off and filled with tables during the summer months. However, there are other lots and parking options surrounding the building along Old Clairton if this is the case when you visit. We arrived just after 7:00, and the place was packed! They had the back parking lot closed off for seating, but luckily we found a spot right in front. There is no indoor seating here, as they advertise the business to be take-out only. Therefore, you can order online or through some delivery services if you truly are taking the order to-go. However, if you are "dining in," you can order at the counter inside. They will give you an order number, and then call the order number outside for you to come retrieve. First, we made our way inside to place an order. There was a decent line that went out the door, but we made it through that in about 10 minutes. Ordering was straight-forward, as the menu is not terribly long. For the beers, there were some different size options. Also, they sold reusable cans, crowlers, growlers, and mini kegs that can be brought back and refilled. In addition to the made-to-order food and beer, there are some snacks, grocery items, non-alcoholic drinks, and merchandise all for sale. After placing our order, we made our way to the back parking lot to find some seating. As stated, there was a live band performing and the place was pretty full. However, we did manage to get a table. There were picnic-style tables, as well as some bar-height seating. I also saw some patrons bring their own lawn chairs, so that is an option as well! The atmosphere outside was very lively. The music was good, there were a lot of groups socializing and having a good time, and there were some yard games set up on the one side of the lot. Definitely a nice spot to bring the family or meet up with some friends if the weather is nice. The wait from ordering to when we got our food was about 30 minutes. I know the food is prepared in-house, and is not generic restaurant pre-made-type food, so this is reasonable considering that. My fiance and I split a few dishes between us. We ordered the Chilled Colossal Shrimp, the Big Fat "Wings," and the Wood Fries Parm Crusted. The Chilled Colossal Shrimp came with 5 and a nice dipping sauce. I love cold shrimp, so this was my favorite dish. The Big Fat "Wings" are chicken drumsticks prepared like wings. Since it is a different cut, you get a lot of meat for your money. We ordered them with the buffalo sauce on the side as well. They were tasty, and again, a great way to make your dollar stretch for a lot of meat! The Wood Fries Parm Crusted are unique, as they are very thick cut. It is probably over a whole potato's worth of fries, so plenty to share. My fiance loves thick-cut fries like this, so he thought these were great. We enjoyed the food overall! For my beer, I ordered the Mortar, which is an American Brown Ale. I usually prefer a brown/red/amber-type of pour, so this was right up my alley. It was a nice sipper to have throughout the night. In terms of value, I think some items have a much better value than others. Specifically, I thought the fries and the chicken were very much worth the money. I personally did not order a pizza this trip, but some of those seemed to be slightly expensive to me personally. Despite that, you can make it worth your dollar depending on what you order and what you are looking for most. Since this place is take-out only, I truly did not have a ton of interaction with the staff, except for when I put my order in. I had no issues regarding this, though I feel as though I did not have enough interaction to make a comment on this aspect of the trip either way. Likely due to all of the seating being outside, the business is dog-friendly! We brought our dog, and he enjoyed socializing with the patrons and many other dogs who were there as well. This was a great place to spend a sunny August evening! I enjoyed the beer, food, and atmosphere at Truss. We loved the live music, and learned on this trip that they regularly hold a trivia night and other events as well. The only downside is that this experience is seasonal, and weather-dependent. However, the food and beer are available year-round, so you can give that a try anytime. I would recommend checking this place out with the warmer months quickly approaching!
