    Brisket Soup

I went here with my boyfriend to try a new place. It said on their website they were Gluten Free which was very exciting for us since we are both Gluten Free. When we got there, there was a strong smell of spices and I wasnt the biggest fan, but it was okay because we say outside. When we told thr waiter we were GF he said he was to so he made a few suggestions. Normally they have GF buns, but of course my luck they didnt have any that day. Our server was very friendly and made some good suggestions. I got the Ceasar Salad and for $18 bucks I expected much bigger than I got. It was TINY and not worth the money. I did also get the Brisket Soup. This was delicious. They brisket was tender and flavorful. The bowl was a decent size too. My boyfriend got a burger without a bun and his ways pretty good. We also got cheese bread ( think Brazi Bites) but they had no flavor which. I was kind of bummed about. My boyfriend also got a Margherita for 14 bucks in a small 8oz glass was insane. It wasnt terrible but it also wasnt $14 worth. The best dish of the day was the Pistachio Chocolate dessert the waiter recommended. It was so good. Flavorful and rich in chocolate. By far the best thing on the menu and it was the cheapest item too. I think the place really has potential if they lower some of their prices or make adjustments to their portion sizes. They are trying to be fine dining and its a small restaurant at a mid golf course. They won't be able to stay open without those adjustments.

Fantastic lunch today. Found this place on yelp since we weren't familiar with the area. The shishito pepper appetizer was delicious. My son got the brisket and mashed potatoes. The servers were attentive. Nice find and recommend giving it a shot.

Weird experience, but the food is excellent. The Owl's Nest a Texas pit style bbq restaurant with an elevated setting... ran by Russians lol The meats were great, the sides were lacking, the Russian Honey Cake was 10/10 and a must have. Service was great and I'll be back!

Other Yelpers led us here and Owl's Nest did not disappoint! With exceptional service and knowledge of the menu, we tried a couple recommendations we received and enjoyed our view overlooking the Frosty Valley Golf Links' driving range and putting green. The interior was welcoming with a casual ambience. I ordered the Watermelon Witch (aka the Watermelon Mint Lemonade with rum),

Owls Nest at Frosty Valley Golf Links - upscale BBQ with a serious twist and even better views. From smoked brisket to handcrafted cocktails, this South Hills standout is redefining Texas-style BBQ with a fine dining touch. We kicked off with the charred shishito peppers--served with house-made sriracha--and let's just say, do not skip. For dinner, we tried the Tailor Made Platter, which lets you build your own BBQ board. We picked brisket, honey pork belly, pulled pork, and chicken breast--plus sides of mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, and roasted veggies (those grilled vegetables were next-level). Topped it off with Grisha's BBQ sauce--sweet, smoky, and ridiculously good. And the cocktails? Flavor-forward and beautifully crafted. The Smokey Manhattan was a standout. Bonus: I was celebrating my birthday, and they surprised me with a slice of homemade honey cake (complete with candle + a birthday song in Russian). Truly such a thoughtful touch. If you haven't been to Owls Nest yet--make this your next dinner destination. South Hills, this one's a keeper.

I would probably go 4.5 stars if that was an option. The food was generally very good. Most of the menu items are very pricey. Started with the watermelon mint lemonade, which was quite refreshing. Didn't expect it to be carbonated, but really liked it. Had charred broccoli and grilled watermelon as starters. Both were very good. I saw the Smoky Spell Burger come out, and it looked amazing, but we went with the brisket and the shrimp risotto. I loved the latter. The brisket was on the leaner side, so a bit drier and way less fatty than you might typically see, but the barbecue sauce was delicious. I also tasted the smoked duck breast. It was less oily than expected and actually had a bit of a pork texture. Solid.

What a treat to discover the Owl's Nest. Eight of us came on a Wednesday night and shared a few appetizers to start. The burrata was beautifully plated and perfect on its own with just a fork, no bread needed. But let me go back a second to the cocktail I ordered. The Green genie was light and refreshing. Maybe not your typical December drink but I was intrigued by the pineapple basil infused lemonade. Not a sweet drink kinda girl, I will say this was perfectly balanced and definitely not too sweet. That hint of basil came through in every sip! Definitely recommend. The brisket with mashed potatoes, and vegetables was plated so uniquely- truly a pleasure to behold for the senses. Now for the taste... tender and lightly smoked. The BBQ sauce is a delicious compliment and not overpowering. I decided that it was impossible to choose desserts so I ordered both the honey cake AND the hidden gem. People!! Save room for dessert! The hidden gem is a fun dessert and the pistachio filling is creamy and light. The honey cake is gorgeous, light and the layers are just perfectly even. I would liken it to a crepe cake. My kids will be happy I'm bringing them home a taste of it! The attention to detail, the cocktails, music and the flavor of the food at the Owl's Nest is definitely worth seeking out for lunch or dinner.

Fantastic addition to the area. Star5ed w the charred be I colli which was delicious. I never thought I would like beocolli for an appetizer, but it works! Then had the burger and it was so flavorful, cooked perfectly, and beautifully served. Very upscale menu, great setting outside under the canopy on a spring evening. Great way to spend the evening.

Amazing food, drinks, and setting post golf at Frosty Valley. We had the Pink Panther & Espresso Martini cocktail, both great. The Wagyu Brisket starter was melt in your mouth good. Chef's signature BBQ sauce had a nice kick to it along with the Poblano Crema that came with the Charred Broccoli.

I chose the grilled ahi tuna with herb polenta, pineapple relish and veggies. Day of parking was a breeze. There is so much of it. Staff was incredibly helpful navigating where we needed to be. Our servers were so great at explaining all the dishes to us. A welcome plate is provided with some bites the chef wants you to try. For the first course I chose the shrimp skewer, biggest shrimp I've ordered out. The spring salad was delicious, I loved the vinaigrette. Next was the papparella pasta was sooooo good. Only complaint is wish I had more. My main that I chose earlier that week the ahi tuna was incredible. Such a big piece and much more food than I was expecting. For dessert the creme brûlée and some truffles. I loved looking around at the art work and design of the home. It is such a cool place. Looking out into the woods was like a fairy tale. Will absolutely have to be back to experience sitting in a pod.

We first checked in at the lower area below the restaurant before going on the tour and coming back to dine in our treehouse. There are several private treehouses and ours was a bigger one that could seat 6-8 people. There is also a restaurant you can dine in as well. The treehouse was adorable and we weren't sure what to expect in terms of food but it was pretty good! The dessert and bread were my favorites and you get two glasses of wine.
