I have worked with a few other personal trainers but none have come close to the holistic approach Kiara has to whole body wellness from feet up-. After each session at her beautiful and absolutely immaculate studio, I always feel good, energized, and accomplished- not drained, in pain, or vomiting like I've felt with other trainers. Kiara has an amazing way of explaining posture and form that's easy to grasp, helps you maximize your work out, and really focus on the target area. They're constantly out of hot water, and half the time the water doesn't work at all. Something is always broken, toilets, sinks, machines, you name it. The steam room basically never works. When this place was Gold's, sure, they had issues, but nothing like this disaster. And it's not just Thousand Oaks. Oxnard is the same. Northridge is the same. Beverly Center is the same. Every EOS location I've been to is falling apart. It's like they took over Gold's and somehow made everything worse. The craziest part is I actually heard a sales rep telling someone that Gold's "ran out of money" and EOS was fixing all their old problems. It's been over a year. Nothing has been fixed. So either he lied, or EOS just doesn't care. I'm paying for a gym that can't keep basic things working. Hot water, bathrooms, machines, the bare minimum. EOS feels like a company that wants to sell memberships but doesn't want to maintain anything. Total disappointment.

Small-group classes and personal training are also available during the day based on the Black Card membership description. The schedule is available on the app. The Thousand Oaks location is pretty light in the evening, which is when we usually go. The app also shows the gym's current traffic, which is convenient. Staff is usually polite and pleasant, although we have minimal interaction since check-in is through the app. The restroom could use more cleaning. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated janitor or if it's handled by employees, but either way, a more consistent cleaning schedule would help. One tip for people who like to clean their equipment before using it: you might want to bring your own cleaning wipes. They provide spray bottles and cleaning paper, which is a little messy for me. With the cost of the membership, though, this is really not a complaint. Overall, we enjoy the convenience of the flexible hours and the variety of fitness options at this location.
