My husband is a stroke survivor who is learning to walk safely…read more We owned a simple Drive rollator whose wheels were no longer willing to work. I looked for a shop to maybe repair the old thing and on July 1, found ZMI. Zane and Jenna brought out some ideas while emphasizing that both repair and replacement were available to us. Drive, being the big supplier of wheelchairs and mobility aids, has several products to consider between the old silver hospital walker and our new ByAcre carbon tripod rollator, which is far too light for my husband's current level of skill. He nearly fell when making a turn using this lighter one. Zane at ZMI showed me the available four-wheeled rollators once I decided to replace our current model. We were able to pick up a Drive Nitro model a few days later. Communications and the ordering process were great! The new Nitro is so much lighter and easy to fold in order to lift it into the car. The seat is comfortable and there is a big mesh bag for carrying your possessions. Weight limit is 300lbs. Jenna is so helpful and had even brought the old heavy dinosaur in to the shop and then loaded the new one for me. Now, when my husband walks around the house or out and about in town, he can't stop telling me he is amazed with the Nitro's ease of use. Yesterday he stored his brownies and other pastries from TKB Bakery in the bag and he guarded them from predators like me! I had not imagined there would be a sales and repair shop for us but I am so glad we came to ZMI first. Directions: ZMI is rather behind Agua Caliente Casino and between CA 111 and Gerald Ford. Be very careful when looking for the ZMI shop on Perez Road. I prefer to come in from Cathedral Canyon, which is just north of the theater plaza, instead of via Date Palm. If you take a left on Perez from Date Palm it's very difficult to find plus you have to take a left turn with cars buzzing around the corner on Perez. The office signage is "Vessco" and ZMI is not greatly visible from the eastern end of Perez plus it is on a bend in the road. The industrial park is in the same section as all the art galleries and printers/framers. We are thrilled we now have this connection and a great resource for sales and service. Thank you, ZMI!!

We had a mixed experience with this company. The pickup process was smooth, and the customer…read moreservice team was friendly and helpful. However, we ran into issues with the scooter during use. We rented it for my father-in-law to attend Stagecoach and made that clear during the reservation process. Despite that, we received a call on the first day saying they were unaware it would be used at the festival, which was frustrating since we had discussed it beforehand. Ended up being confused with another customer. The scooter did get him from the handicap parking area into the venue, but it consistently lost power afterward. We had the key off and stationary the entire time, but by the end of each day, we had to push him most of the way back to the car. We made sure to fully charge the scooter every evening, yet the same issue happened each day of the festival. We did inform the associate when we returned the scooter. While the initial service was great, the reliability of the equipment didn't meet expectations, especially for an event like this.

They offered plenty of different versions for your need. She asked for my weight and recommended a transport wheelchair. I needed it for the weekend but the shortest rental was one week. Cost $35. To reserve, I must pay over the phone but no obligation if you decide to cancel, you'll get a refund. I came the next day, liked what I saw. It was compact, easily stored in a back of a trunk and the foot rest comes off. The wheelchair width and size was perfect, we stood in many lines and it was slim enough to fit through. The only cons, was that you get what you pay for. I would recommend to upgrade to the next level and get the heavy duty to get stronger wheels. One of the wheels was acting up and kept flickering out of alignment which made it harder to push and annoying. The material also felt cheap. I'm glad the chair withstand the heavy handling of airport personnel. I was happy with the wheelchair service that we came back a week later to rent 2 for my aunt and uncle for a family trip.

I only had one day left of vacation so didn't want to pay a full week's cost plus delivery fee. Eric understood and just said I could have crutches for the last day of vacation if I could pick them up. I got a Lyft driver to do so, and otherwise got to use the crutches for free. Eric did this without any likely benefit for himself. There is essentially zero percent chance of me being a repeat customer. He didn't ask me to write a review in exchange for the free rental. Then, when I came to store the next day via Lyft, he asked where I was headed, and I explained I was going straight to the airport. He just gave me the crutches...and saved me a lot of inconvenience and discomfort in the airport, where I was wheeled to the gate but would have had a MUCH harder time, say, going to bathroom or getting to my seat on the plane without crutches. In a time of monopolistic big companies taking money out of communities, we need more businesses owners like Eric to stick around.
