I almost NEVER give 5-stars first visit, IMO 5-stars are earned. However, you can see I gave this 5-stars because they earned it! There are two types of people who cook barbecue: those who see it as a business it and those who have a passion for it-these guys are in that passion category. I do know barbecue; have my own smoker and I smoke brisket, pork, ribs, chicken, etc. so we eat a lot of barbecue. Splurge and get the smoked sausage just to add protein because they are good (a bit dry but great flavor). I got the brisket; my wife claims mine is more moist but they had a great smoke ring and it was amazingly tender. I would recommend getting your brisket lean unless you like fat; now fat is flavor but fat is fat so I go lean. My son had a sandwich plus Mac & Cheese while my wife had the beef confit (great flavor). I added coleslaw to my brisket and sausage link and it was worth the money. All in all, one of the best barbecue places you will find; get there early as they serve until it is gone. read more

Paid $34 for a meal the size of a happy meal. I just can't find a good BBQ spot moving here from Miami. I definitely don't expect it to be like Miami, but damn this food was very bland and greasy. I mean everything. I had the platter that had one rib, a very small side of brisket and a sausage just caked in grease. Too much fat on the brisket also. We wanted some good ole ribs. I went to yelp and saw all the reviews and thought we should give it a try. We got 2 slabs of ribs collard greens and Mac n cheese. The ribs were fresh, juicy and tasty! A little salty but the sauce it came with (sweet) evened it out. I didn't taste the greens because my husband said it was spicy but he did say it was really good. They had slices of sausage in them. The Mac n cheese was definitely my favorite very cheesy and flavorful! Overall good food. Kind of pricey for all we paid $83.00. This was for three people and we had left overs the next day. I've been to 5 bbq places in the area and I can say this place is the best. Each of the meats can be taken apart with a plastic fork. Pricer than the others but I think it's worth it. Only downside is their weird hours, wish they are more easily accessible. Outdoor eating area is nice until it gets to mosquito season. read more

When you first enter Cocoa Village on Florida Avenue you will see Crydermans barbecue on the right hand side. The barbecue smell will draw you in when you drive-by. They have outdoor dining only however the outdoor dining is covered. When you order you go inside and they take your order, prepare your food right there and then you carry your food outside to your table. they have a large menu outside so you have time to look over the menu, as well as daily specials and decide what you want before going inside to place your order. Also if you pay attention to the main sign it will tell you if they are sold out or what days they are open and closed. The food is already prepared and kept in warmers and as they get short on food then they will bring more food from the back to the front to serve customers. Now on to the good stuff! On my visit we tried the brisket tacos, A burger that was on special, a homemade sausage link, coleslaw and baked beans. Everything tasted very good all of the warm foods were at an ideal temperature they weren't piping hot but they were hotter than warm. The only thing I didn't particularly like is that the hamburger was a little pinker than I prefer in the middle now some people like their burgers medium or medium rare but I'm not the biggest fan of it, i'm a huge coleslaw fan and I found their coleslaw to be very good it was mild it wasn't overly flavored could've used a little something else maybe some vinegar but it was really good the baked beans were my favorite out of the sides they had a hint of sweetness and also the smoky barbecue flavor they were very good. The tacos were excellent brisket was tender and the sauce was very tasty as well. Also the sausage the homemade sausage was so good I will definitely be back there in the future to order more sausage. I am a big fan of this restaurant now and will continue to go back because I have to try multiple things on the menu. read more

A few facts, only seating outside, meats are available until they are not available(meaning when they sell out they are done). It is not open late night, open for earlier dinners. They do have beer;). Came with my hubby(he's been a bunch) and daughter on a beautiful Saturday afternoon had a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese, he had brisket tacos and beans daughter had pulled pork and Mac and cheese. All DELISH. Super moist and very flavorful. The potato bun was a perfect solution. If it were garlic bread it would have been too salty! We got a corn brad cookie and crack pudding for desert. Ordering online was easy enough, pick up was easy. However the food left something to be desired. The potato salad had far to much dill in it, a bit of overkill and it just wasn't my favorite. The Mac and cheese was pretty good but again nothing exactly special. The hybrid sandwich was what was truly lacking. Not really a lot of flavor and so bland. In an Homage to Texas Hill Country meat stores, this place shines! If you are a fan of Franklin's in Austin, Coopers in Llano or Heim in Fort Worth then you know what you are in for! Moist, delicious brisket with a gorgeous ruby smoke ring comes with my highest recommendation! The dipped ribs are fantastic! I love the seasoning! When you deglaze the fat and sauce, and then dip the ribs back in... too good for words! We are tired of the local "pot roast" versions of brisket, and this place was awesome! Found out about this place driving by last Friday evening so I put it on the calendar for today's lunch Had the Brisket sandwich and it was awesome. Also had two of there sides, their smoky beans and the days special of smoked creamed corn. Both were excellent and the creamed corn was something unique. So rich and sweet. Definitely worth a taste. I live in Orlando and always go to 4 Rivers, but honestly I wouldn't mind driving from Orlando to Cocoa Village for this BBQ! It's probably the best BBQ I've had in a while and everyone is very friendly. Prices seem a little high but again I think it's worth it. Seriously great bbq! My mother and I stopped by on a Sunday and not only were the staff super helpful and nice but the food was delicious. As someone who takes their mac and cheese seriously I know what makes a good mac and this place knocked it out of the park with their gooey cheesy work of art. Further we made our own little sandwiches putting both the hot and sweet bbq sauce and it was perfection! I even enjoyed the potato salad which is surprising considering I despise potato salad. Pickles were top notch and the meat was flavorful, moist, tender, and not fatty. However the star of the show is the cookie. we were advised to take it home and put it in the air fryer (which we intend on doing) but sneaking a quick bite was impossible when it looks like that. It was soft and the taste was immaculate, solid 10/10! The ambiance was exactly what you expect from a bbq place and after striking up a conversation with a nice gentlemen next to us we were informed that the brisket sandwich is unsurprisingly delicious and the raspberry pudding tastes like yogurt.
