FIRST POST - We stopped in to check out the place but didn't eat a meal. There's a small restaurant with an outdoor area and a store in the back of the building. There's a whimsical bull shaped smoker in front of the store (pictured) We first went go the store where they have a large selection of meats, rubs, grilling tools and wines. The restaurant was very chill and smelled amazing. Service was good. Food was good I had the Texas 2 step it was good great flavor only thing I didn't care for was the sausage casing was very chewy it had great flavor but was just a little tough. Wifey had the brisket said it was good. We also tried the beans ehh they are ok and potato salad which was very good. I will preface this and say BBQ is not my thing, but this was the first stop on our out of town visitors bbq road trip . Walking up, I noticed it didn't smell like a smoker and was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavor of the brisket and delicious sides. Each order came with a free beer or white claw. BEST BRISKET EVER! We came to Crydermans with a friend who spoke highly about it and it definitely did not disappoint! The Brisket was perfect and tender and had the best bark. It is also juicy and unlike most briskets, the flavor is not only on the outside but on the inside as well. Ribs are always falling off the bone and taste like heaven. Be sure to check their specials because every week they always have something incredible. Sauces are so delicious and a great addition even though everything is already perfect as it is. Located in Cocoa Village, this place is a nice place to hang out and chill with friends over some really good barbeque. I tried the Hybrid brisket sandwich, which had crispy onions that added some crunch into the sandwich that was just . I also tried the Creamiest Mac, which was good too but didn't stand out as much as the sandwich did. Staff was friendly and followed COVID protocols. We tried Crydermans BBQ for the first time during the Covid19 quarantine. We sought out a locally owned business to support during this down time. They did NOT disappoint! They had plenty of safeguards in place to keep the ordering area under crowded and sanitizer by the register. I truly appreciated the workers being there after being shut in our house most of the week. They were all very friendly and helpful even though I am sure they felt stressed. Again totally appreciated that. Now to the food. We looked online to place our order aNd we just could not decide. So we ordered the Feast for the Soul. It was well worth the price! We got to try everything! Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, and turkey plus 2 sides. We loved it all!! Now we know why their lot is always full when we drive by. So barbecue is my passion. I love it. It's a labor of love, it's accentuated by sauce, and it's usually very obvious which barbecue is better than another barbecue. That being said, I've been searching for Central Florida barbecue that's better than 4Rivers. I'll make it known that I don't do a good job searching because I work over 50 hours a week, but I still try my best. A friend of mine recommended I try this place, and thank God I did. This quaint little hole in the wall is nestled right outside of Cocoa Village. It's all outside seating on benches, also quaint, and you have to form a line outside the building until the door guy lets you in. It's a tight space. But once you get in, you're in for a treat. They sell all the meat by weight, or you can buy a sandwich. You can also get sides, all a-la-carte. They also have a special board that I think they change pretty often. I ordered off the special menu. I can't remember what it was all about word-for-word, but it was a brisket sandwich with some sauteed onions on there, but the special part of it was that it had fried crispy onion strips on there and a horseradish sauce. I skipped the sauce, sorry, but man, this brisket was out of this world. I think it might have been better than 4Rivers', but to be fair, it's been a long time since I've eaten anything from 4Rivers that wasn't their burnt ends, because those things are heaven. I also had a side of mac 'n' cheese, and it was also darling. Very cheesy, very soft, and it will delight you. Overall, this place was a solid five stars, and I really hope you come here. read more

The sauces, bro! The sauces and the smoked meat! Yup, I'm going full gym-bro on this. This place is bomb! The service is spectacular! The atmosphere is just like it should be. Note that seating is outside, so be prepared for whatever weather Florida has it in for you, but the food is phenomenal! They have amazing dishes and dessert that'll make your mouth water while eating it. Pumpkin Crack is pretty much as addictive as they named it. OK, it's way past time that I wrote this review so...here we go! You know the BBQ places where you go there because you love their sauces? Well, this ain't one of those places. Yeah, I said "ain't!" Eating some good BBQ makes my southern soul pour through my keyboard like thick sweet tea for reviews like this one. Now, to be honest, I can't really say anything bad about the sauces, because I still haven't tasted any of them. Yeah, I know, mind blown, huh? There's a good reason though. The food is just that damn good WITHOUT wanting to add anything more to it. Now maybe you're one of them peeps who like sauce, and maybe you've just never had good BBQ, I dunno. I won't judge you. If you're the type who puts ketchup on everything, you're probably pretty saucy. I've been here somewhere around a dozen times, I think. I probably would've been here more often, but they close earlier than my work days so it's a friday-off guilty pleasure thing for me. Speaking of that, you do need to plan a little for this place. Their hours are 11am - 4pm...or until they run out, which does happen. I've been here and in a long line whenever I've come closer to noon. They do sandwiches, which also come in combos, meat by the pound, sides, chips, and desserts. I know they do orders to go, and I'm pretty sure you can call ahead for a large order. You go in and order your food cafeteria-style in a line. Drinks, sauces, plasticware, and the like are outside in a serve yourself station. They only have outdoor seating, but it is covered. This ain't no metal bin of meat on a steamer line type of affair; they cut the meats right in front of you. This meat is JUICY! The brisket is delicious. I know I've had their other meats, but I keep coming back for the brisket. The BBQ style is more Texas than Southern or Carolina btw. More peppery, if you're not familiar. The Texas Two-Step sandwich is large and in charge. There's a whole lot of flavors and meats going on in this one and I love it! Pulled brisket piled on top of their split sausages all under their tasty creamy slaw and pickled onions to finish off your taste buds. First time I got it, the dude sitting with his wife across from me just sat and stared at it like he saw the gal who got away. He wiped his mouth and asked what it was, stating very clearly that he was getting THAT next time when I described what I was eating. If I'd known him, I might've offered him a bite, but I didn't know where his drool had been, so...no. The sides are tasty as well. I have to admit that their slaw really surprised me. I'm typically a "meh, slaw" kind of guy, but I do get theirs as a side over their beans and mac & cheese. It's a bit sweet, creamy, and crunchy fresh all at once. It can be a bit pricey, but don't let that scare you away. I'd say a sandwich, side, chips, and a drink comes out to around $15 before the tip. If that's too high falootin' for ya. just know that there's a reason some BBQ places are cheaper and it ain't that difficult to figure out. Their sauces at the other places are just that darn good, I guess. If that's what you like, go at it. As for me, saucy, I go to BBQ places for the meats ("proteins," for you young 'uns). Texas in Florida.....ummmmm pretty darn good. So you line up, tell them how much meat you want and go outside and eat. The process is simple and that is the beauty. Opens at 11 am​ and closes when the beef is all gone. The staff was friendly although the video game discussion vice taking our order was a bit much after being in the queue for​ twenty minutes. We ordered up some beef brisket and pork with a side of jalapeno​ and sausage mac and cheese. I asked for a mix of fatty brisket and lean.....next time just lean. The pork was devoured before I got a taste so that tells me all I need to know. The tables are big but if you are uncomfortable sitting with strangers then get yours to go. While looking for a possible birthday meal for my mom, we ran across Crydermans, since we were in the area we decided to check it out. Luckily it was a nice day, not to hot or rainy to sit outside and eat, This is a walk up and order restaurant, everything is already done just needs assembling when you order with that said I found the temperature of my pulled pork and spare rib a bit to cool for my liking but would probably be fine for others. I ordered a combo platter that includes choice of 3 1/4 lb meat options (brisket costs extra) as well as 2 sides, you are offered white bread as well as pickles and onions and a fountain drink ($23.99) my husband had the special brisket burger ($13.99) it did not come with a side but he ordered potato salad ($4) and for signing up for rewards we received 1 free fountain beverage. Grand total with tax and 18% tip just over $51! Food had excellent flavor, the combo was plentiful ( I gave a portion of baked beans to husband and I brought home some pulled pork and potato salad because I was full. Staff very friendly, located in Cocoa Village there is only parking in lot across the street or on the street up the road (there is 1 on property handicap parking spot in front of building). I think we will definitely return despite being a bit pricey. If in the area, give them a try. read more

Stopped by here on the way out of town after spending a few days in Cocoa Beach. We always like to try the locally owned restaurants. Sorry for no photos--we inhaled everything before we even thought of photos. We had two brisket sandwiches and one pulled pork sandwich. The brisket was tender and smoky and just enough fat. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. All the sauces were good, but as a KC girl my favorite was the swisha sweet. My son said the Mac and cheese was really good--creamy and tasted homemade. The potato salad had a lot of flavor. We all shared the key lime crack pudding, which was fantastic. The service was really good. We didn't eat there in the outdoor dining area--the heat index was 107, eek, so we took it to go to eat in the car. It was packed up well and we somehow managed to eat our bbq in the car without incident. Definitely recommend supporting this local gem. read more

This place smokes their meat right out front behind the wall of stacked wood. Head inside to place your order them find a bench outside in the covered dining area. Don't forget to order a drink. They have Cheerwine pop and delicious iced teas along with other beverages. Hubby ordered an all meat tray of brisket and sausages and some coleslaw. Teen son had a brisket sandwich with a side of mac-n-cheese. He made their half cream soda and half Cherrwine drink and loved it. I ordered one of their specials, beef confit sandwich that was so full of flavor I didn't want to share a bite with my family. Yum yum yummy! We ordered the sampler platter. Really didn't think the 4 of us could finish it but we did!! I personally liked the sausage the best. The brisket was so tender it almost fell apart. I almost NEVER give 5-stars first visit, IMO 5-stars are earned. However, you can see I gave this 5-stars because they earned it! There are two types of people who cook barbecue: those who see it as a business it and those who have a passion for it-these guys are in that passion category. I do know barbecue; have my own smoker and I smoke brisket, pork, ribs, chicken, etc. so we eat a lot of barbecue. Splurge and get the smoked sausage just to add protein because they are good (a bit dry but great flavor). I got the brisket; my wife claims mine is more moist but they had a great smoke ring and it was amazingly tender. I would recommend getting your brisket lean unless you like fat; now fat is flavor but fat is fat so I go lean. My son had a sandwich plus Mac & Cheese while my wife had the beef confit (great flavor). I added coleslaw to my brisket and sausage link and it was worth the money.
