Stopped in for dinner (4 of us). They were not busy so staff was extremely attentive. And over all the restaurants cleanliness was good. The food, so we tried the turkey, brisket, pulled pork sausage and ribs. All of the meats were good, however the sausage (jalapeno cheeses) was lacking any smoke flavor. I was a lil hesitant when we pulled up to this strip mall establishment with tinted windows. The big sign over the top just says "BBQ", so if you are looking specifically for the name, you might miss it. Despite the giant arrow on the door, my partner nearly walking into the kitchen made for an amusing intro to the lovely couple that runs this restaurant. I did not catch names, but the gentleman was very patient in answering questions about the menu items. (I was pleasantly surprised that there is a variety of sides that don't have pork). On to the food: the coleslaw and potato salad weren't exactly memorable. That tater tot casserole though, I could eat a whole pan. Cheesy, seasoned, and a hint of smoky flavor. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and juicy. The lady of the establishment was kind enough to share samples of the brisket and ribs, and those were equally as good as the chicken. Welcome to Titusville, Sugar Shack BBQ! We are happy you've brought Texas style BBQ to the area. They are in their first week of opening so I'm giving them grace as they work out the kinks. There is an awkward flow when you first walk in. The ordering counter is right when you walk in which is kind of confusing. Well at least it was for me. The staff is still working on their flow as well. There seemed to be some confusion and miscommunication going on when it came to preparing orders. One great thing is that the smoker is out back and it's a wonderful smell when you get out of the car and go inside. I ordered a 2 meat 2 sides platter with brisket, peach habanero pork belly burnt ends, baked beans and dirty rice. My son got brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese and baked beans. The brisket was the stand out. I ate it without any sauce. The burnt ends were delicious but could have been warmer as in temperature. The pulled pork was ok. It needed salt and seasoning. As for the sides, the baked beans and mac and cheese were great! The dirty rice needs more seasoning and salt. It was also a little watery. Don't skip the house made pickles and pickled onions. They currently offer 2 different BBQ sauces one of which is mustard base. They are both good. We didn't try any of the desserts but will try them next visit. read more

I finally made it to this cool spot that everybody has been talking about. The owners are extremely nice and very invitive and wanted you to try all their wonderful foods. I enjoyed the brisket, the pulled pork, and the wonderful burnt-ends. Everything was delicious. Fresh straight out of the cooker and you could tell that it had A signature from the cook. I showed up later in the afternoon and they still had food. I was worried that they were going to run out before I showed up. OMG. Just try it. It doesn't look like much from the outside. The big sign just says BBQ. The owner is delightful. We missed meeting his wife who was out of town. She can be assured she left it in good hands. My family members both ate the pulled pork sandwiches. One with mac and cheese and the other with the famous baked beans. I tasted both. The mac and cheese was indescribably good and the baked beans lived up to the hype. I had the a la carte sausage-very spicy and I loved it. I also had the awesome cornbread and smoked Brussels sprouts. They were perfection-not the usual strong flavor due to the way they are cooked and a wonderful sweet and savory sauce. You have to try them! I wish I lived closer, we'd visit often. read more

Really, really great. Really. 2 meat combo with beans and corn cob. The brisket is always the big test. Look at the bark in the photos. Juicy, tons of flavor, with the right smoke. And tender. The ribs are meaty and full of that bbq taste. The beans have a little habanero that gives flavor without heat. I don't believe in one best beans because there are lots of different great beans that have different flavor. But these are in the top taste category along with other great beans. The corn on the cob is hard to describe because it's so different ftom what I've had. I will say it's the best corn on the cob I've ever had. I came to Titusville to see a rocket launch and was pleased to see that the Artemis II team ate here. My go to place from now on for when I come back for rocket launches. This is a family run business and wow, it is amazing! Jennifer and her husband opened this place because they couldn't find good barbecue in the area and they came from another state that was heavy on the barbecue food. They told us their whole story they were so kind they let us try things before we bought them. Their prices are amazing. It's almost like they aren't even making money. The smoked meats were well prepared and the owners are extremely friendly and warm. I am not sure the mustard sauce is up to current standards, but that is my only suggestion. Unfortunately the palpable desperation in the owners and the "failing restaurant" vibe make it difficult to enjoy the experience. The owners incessant conversation about how the reviews are great but the business is slow only contributed to us wanting to clear out quickly and never return. I am not sure they can survive, but I sure hope they do as the food is good and they are great people. With a few tweaks to the atmosphere and a more optimistic attitude might give this well deserving couple the success that seems to have eluded them. read more

The S Shack is a nice mom and pop place, home cooking including the sides. has a modest dining area, but we usually do take out, so if you want real smoked BBQ, this the only place around. read more

Ok look I'm always on the hunt for good BBQ and told went to Sugar Shack, it's old Geno's Shoe Repair shop if you been in Titusville for a long time! If not it's on the southeast corner of US1 North in the old coffee shop shop plaza. They are closed Monday and Tuesday but the rest of the Week till 8pm. Very nice family run business. Clean and has on site smoker. I had the 1/2 chicken and 1/; pound pulled pork with slaw and NNQ beans. And fresh brewed sweet tea for $19.00. The chicken including Brest meat was juicy and has Solid flavor as did the pork. Had their mustard base and the original. Both had solid flavor and are homemade as are sides. The chicken is packing big flavor and glad I didn't use it on the meat because they don't really Need it unlike these other places in town. They are from Kansas City and Texas and you can tell the prep influence in the quality. Staff is friendly folks make you feel like your neighbors. Saw the half rack of ribs at the next table and they were big and meaty. Had a sample of the brisket and it's lean and full flavored. They also do a homemade sausage and burnt ends as well ar Turkey. Makes sonnys exposed for the dry meat and I have just never liked BBRacks although many folks do they just aren't my place, so I can't say too much either way about them sometimes a place just doesn't hit with everyone so they seem to be busy and I wish them well. Ordered take out yesterday. Had the ribs, pulled pork, brisket and burnt ends. All were really good. Looks like a husband/wife team. I wish I had taken a picture. Looks as good as it tastes. My wife is not a big barbecue fan, but she enjoyed everything. She doesn't like an overwhelming smokey flavor. Theirs is more subtle which is a plus for us. We will definitely be back. read more

First thing, this is not about the food; it's about the service. I tried calling this place to place an order. Spoke to two different people and both said "order on our website" and neither would take an order over the phone. I went to the website, ran through all of the registration crap, and it took me to a page saying "pick location". From there it was an "OOPs, page not found" message. No order for me; no sale for them. All of this after they papered our nearby condo's with door hanger. read more
