I went back today for lunch and tried the Pork Dinner with 2 sides for $12. I went with Macaroni and Cheese alongside BBQ Baked Beans. The Mac-n-Chz was somewhat ordinary, kinda like the Stoufers frozen kind from the grocery store. But the Beans were sweet and DELICIOUS! On to the meat. The Pork was Pulled and smoky flavor was throughout. It was not juicy, but it was not dry either. Just right to let the smoke and flavor come through. The Corn Bread was a nice sweet finish to a wonderful meal. Soft drinks are $1, which is relatively inexpensive by today's standards. I will stop by again next time I am in this part of town. We had several people tell us about Freddie Red Wagon and how good the ribs were so we wanted to try for ourselves. They close at 3 pm on Saturdays and we got there approx. 2:30 so we had already missed the Ribs. However, we decided to try the pulled pork, Brisket, BBQ Beans, Okra, and Collard greens. Everything was delicious, the beans were super yummy. The food is very filling, and the guys at the Wagon we're super friendly and nice. Def worth a visit. read more

Red Wagon is a great food truck BBQ in Merritt Island. As you park the smells just kind of call to you and pull you in. I had the pulled port with mac and cheese and garlic potatoes which ran me around $10. The pork was seasoned very well, as were the side dishes. Overall the food was 5* and I can't wait to go back again. The signs are really hard to read as they have been clearly weathered. But the gentleman running the truck was very personable and helpful. The eating situation is a little inconvenient. They have a table set up in the side yard but it was crawling w ants, which became quickly inconvenient. And then yet again maybe that is the unique atmosphere that accompanies a food truck. read more

The owner was super nice and friendly. I had pulled pork. He gave a very nice portion. I tried the mustard and hot sauces. Both were home made and fresh. I give three stars because the pork really didn't have as much smoke or BBQ flavor for me as I prefer. That said I would certainly go back to try his other offerings and his other sauces. read more

Here's my order and thoughts: Pulled pork sandwich - the pork was delicious and plentiful! Like most pulled pork sandwiches, it's messy though. It's served in an aluminum foil wrapper. I will order this again and maybe just a pound with a fork next time! Fried okra - cooked to order so it was fresh and crispy. Really hard to screw this up. Mac & cheese - this was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. It's slightly smokey and has a home-cooked feel and taste to it. I arrived around 4;00 and they had a busy lunch so I got the last of the brisket. She made up for the shortage of brisket with a little extra pork. Both were juicy and flavorful. The okra was tasty and still hot even after driving back to my hotel - it was cooked to order. Shay was very friendly. I do recommend but you may want to get there earlier for the brisket. read more

Let it be known this is the best fried okra I have ever had in my life, and I love fried okra. Now to focus on the sandwich... I inhaled it! We read about this place on Yelp! while looking for someplace for lunch on the drive from Orlando to Cocoa Beach and they did NOT disappoint! We had pulled pork and brisket sandwiches with sides of the smoke mac and cheese and collard greens. The meat was incredibly tender and full of smokey flavor and the mac and cheese was amazing! Everything was fantastic! The service was friendly and fast as well. We took our lunch and drove in to Port Canaveral and had lunch at the picnic tables in Ketcham Park and everything was still smoking hot and tasty. Delicious bbq!! My boyfriend and I just happened to stop in the parking lot of the red wagon to Google a spot to eat. We looked up because we could smell the smoked meat. OMG! The pulled chicken sandwich was so tender and delicious!! He loves the Mac and cheese and the collard greens. I'm too stuffed from the sandwich to eat another bite so I hope he'll save me some. Great little lunch spot. They have the meats smoking behind the trailer and it lured us in off the road as we searched for a lunch destination. No where to sit so we ate in the car. Cans of soda, good sized sides - the cole slaw was nice and crunchy, heavy on the vinegar and could have used some fresh pepper to kick it up a notch. I asked about the baked beans - but they do have beef in them (and I don't eat beef). The sauce was a heavy tomato base, I asked for extra sauce but didn't receive it. They serve sandwiches and meal deals. I saw a sign for smokes turkey legs too, maybe another day. Usually I save that experience for the renaissance faire. read more

Not bad. I drove out of KSC looking for quick bite and spotted this on the side of the road. I got the ribs sandwich. It is really a 1/4 slab of bone in ribs in between 2 slabs of bread. It doesn't make any sense to make it a "sandwich" if you can't bite into it. Ribs got some flavor, meat is a bit tough. Ribs are tossed in sauce before putting on bread so the ribs are bit saucey, which makes the bread soggy and nasty. Perhaps their other stuff on the menu is better. read more
