They have a very nice metaphysical library upstairs that anyone can use, but only members can check books out. The gift shop is nice and a very spiritual atmosphere. I have long been fascinated by the life and achievements of Edgar Cayce and was fortunate to have a number of interesting conversations and email exchanges with his son Edgar Evans Cayce before his passing 2013. His father, Edgar Cayce made his home in Virginia Beach, VA from 1924 until his death in 1945. On June 6, 1931, 61 people attended a meeting to carry on Cayce's work and form the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) Today A.R.E. is a non-profit organization that has been transforming lives for nearly a century. It's aim is to help individuals achieve profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in Cayce's psychic readings. This organization serves as a great resource for those seeking to enhance their spiritual growth and well-being. The history of A.R.E. traces back to Edgar Cayce's extraordinary psychic abilities, which he used to help thousands of individuals with health concerns, past-life insights, and spiritual guidance. Cayce's readings covered a wide range of topics, including ancient mysteries, holistic health remedies, and spirituality. These readings form the foundation of A.R.E. and continue to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for its members. A.R.E. offers a variety of services, workshops, conferences, and retreats to support individuals in their journey towards personal transformation. These programs cover topics such as meditation, dream interpretation, spiritual growth, and holistic health practices. Additionally, A.R.E. publishes materials related to Edgar Cayce's teachings, making his wisdom accessible to people around the world. The headquarters, in Virginia Beach, houses the Edgar Cayce Library, which contains an extensive collection of books, audio recordings, and other resources. Members can access these materials to deepen their understanding of Cayce's teachings and explore new paths towards spiritual growth. A.R.E.'s immensities lie in its far-reaching impact on individuals seeking personal and spiritual transformation. By providing access to Edgar Cayce's profound wisdom and fostering a supportive community, A.R.E. continues to empower individuals to unlock their true potential and lead more fulfilling lives. As a testament to the organization's lasting influence, Bottom line: A.R.E. has grown to include regional chapters, international outreach, and online resources, making its life-changing teachings available to an ever-expanding global audience.

At first it felt a little weird but they were very nice when i went to the counter. The gift shop has crystals, aroma therapy, books, tarot cards, and more!!! This is one of my favorite places to buy tarot or oracle cards because they have a demo box for each box of cards. So you can open them and see if you vibe/connect with the cards and artwork. Its also a bigger selection than most places.. There's also a table if you want to sit down to read or look through the cards. The jewelry is also beautiful if your into crystals. They have wire wrapped pieces, copper pieces, and more. I could easily buy a lot in here. Lol. There is also a lot of good books in there. I can't go and not be in there for at least an hour. After you leave there's a meditation garden outside that's very relaxing and they also have a meditation room upstairs. The meditation room is has a great view of the beach across the street. You can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in. Keep an eye out for flyers. They have psychic and spiritual expos throughout the year. During the expos you can sign up for psychic/tarot/medium readings, reiki, they also sell handmade items, and other cool services. Check them out!!!

First of all when I walked in the owner was Doing something on the phone and barely acknowledged me when she handed me the intake forms. We had a little bit of exchange of information and she took me to the room where the procedure took place. There was very little information shared on how the procedure would go. I did share with her that I had had a bad experience in the past somewhere else. When the procedure started, I asked her if anything was coming out and she told me I needed to be patient. Fair enough. Five minutes into the procedure she receives a phone call that she says she has to take. It turns out to be an appointment for a conference call with people from her child's school and she tells me she needs to take it, but that they can't see me. She was on the call on speaker for about 10 minutes and then continue to work on me. She massaged my stomach with hot stones. She went very hard and very deep to the point that I Now feel bruised internally. Another half an hour and she receives another phone call this time an appointment with her personal doctor and yes, another conference call to discuss her Zepbound dosing. In spite of these two phone calls interrupting our sessions she Was very unapologetic and just said "life happens" both times. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. I had booked Three sessions and asked her for a refund on the other two since I didn't feel this was a good experience especially since I feel my stomach bruised and I had extreme and painful gas after the session. She's been very gracious about the refund. When I went to pick up the money, she told me she didn't realize she had gone so deep. I wanted to tell her that she probably didn't notice cause she was so distracted with her conference calls. I gave her two stars because I can imagine it being a different experience Had she not been interrupted So frequently.

She was very personable and thorough. I was there due to shortness of breath and I was checked out thoroughly. Mary Katherine had the Nurse do an EKG and blood work was done. Is it a natural part of the passage of life when you review more medical practices than night…read moreclubs? Sigh.... If you want a doctor who is not just knowledgable & caring, but also has a fabulous dry wit sense of humor, then Dr. Christopher Asuncion is your man. His "one liners" make going to the doctor a much more relaxed experience. My using Dr. A as a Primary Physician began years ago when my internist retired. A number of people at work went to a large, well established group in the Beach General corridor. So that's the practice I chose. Gradually everyone at work gravitated to Dr. A, a member of that practice at the time. When he left to found Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine, we all followed him. Dr. Asuncion isn't the type of Doctor you feel is rushing you out of the exam room. He will listen to your ailments & symptoms as long as you want to talk. And he remembers not just your medical conditions but also your family, interests & activities. Whenever I have one of my semi-regular sinus infections he will make sure that his staff works me into his always full schedule. And he will do his best to knock it out in the shortest time possible, especially if I have an important upcoming activity planned. It's quite humorous when he walks in the room & the first thing he says is "Got it again?" His decisions regarding whether you should be referred to a specialist for a newly diagnosed condition are prompt & correct. I've always been very happy with his specialist choices. An on-site lab technician eliminates the hassle of having to go to a hospital for blood work. Electronic transmission of prescriptions eliminates the need to carry a script to the pharmacy & make a return trip to pick it up, Access to the doctor is extremely easy. He is available by email, either responding by email or having his nurse or the office staff call. All are responsive & pleasant. The only down side to a one man family medicine practice is that he does need vacations & time off. His PA handles the chores in his absence. But of course I prefer Dr. A. The office is located in the Bon Secours Medical Building off South Plaza Trail, just north of Princess Anne Road. Both the building and the office convey the feelings of new, nicely decorated, clean & well lit. The spacious glass walls offer one an outside view that makes waiting in an exam room much more acceptable that four closed in walls. And the exam rooms are a nice size, rather than claustrophobic. Parking is plentiful and laid out so that it's always an extremely short walk to the entrance. Regular parking spaces are just as convenient as the handicapped slots. There is a covered drive-thru at the entrance, so one can drive an elderly or infirm patient directly to the door. Wheel chairs are available in the building lobby for their further use. Walk into the door at Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine and you are greeted pleasantly by your name. (Does this mean I go to the doctor too often?) It's a much more pleasant experience than the check-in ogre's at some medical practices who give one the feeling that you are interfering with their day. There must be a check-in ogre school, since so many have the same technique. Now I'm thinking of the one liner Dr. A would come up with if he read this review. I'm pretty certain I know exactly what it would be. So I'll just close on a serious note. Thank you for taking care of us Dr. A. You are very much appreciated.
