I cannot say enough good things about Jason and his team. Jason did a pool inspection back in August prior to my wife and I purchasing our home and took his time to walk us through all the ins and outs of what we were expecting in terms of maintaining our pool and all of the equipment. Most companies will just do work and leave, but Jason was patient and said his staff was even willing to teach me how to maintain the pool if I was willing to learn. He even explained why certain decisions were made in terms of the equipment for our pool. Fast forward to September, my wife and I called CBA to have them close our pool for the season, and two members of his team showed up, Gavin & Brian. They were the most respectful, patient, and friendly guys you could ever meet. They walked me through everything that they were doing and even gave me tips and pointers on how to maintain my pool during the winter season for an easy spring opening. I don't know where to start. They were terrific up until we signed the contract with them. 1. The project manager didn't show up when subcontractors were around, resulting in so much dirt being removed that we had to pay ADDITIONAL money to get dirt delivered. There was no attempt to even do a rough grade, just left sand and rock exposed to the elements resulting in the pavers to shift. 2. The install of the electrical equipment was put in facing the fence. My husband had to ask if we were expected to cut a hole in the fence to access it before they comprehended why it was an issue. 3. The filter was installed too close to the house, and it is inaccessible for proper cleaning and maintenance, even by a professional pool service company. When I brought it up I was told to completely decouple it from the piping to access it. Yeah, that's not how it's supposed to work. They then said the professional pool service company "just wasn't a good one" without even knowing which company it was. 4. The electric heater and wiring installed keeps tripping. When I brought that up, they just didn't respond. This was after they installed a gas heater knowing we didn't have gas to the house and that it was in the install notes to put in an electric heater. Don't worry, we got an extra $4,000 bill for that. 5. Following the installation of the filter and booster pump, they left it turned on and left running without the filter being engaged. When I reached out, they talked to me like I was an idiot until I took a video and sent it to them of the extremely loud metal on metal grinding noise that was coming from the booster. Find someone else to build your pool if you want good communication and follow through. I've never dealt with a company that simply ignores and doesn't reply to emails, phone calls, or text messages from a contracted customer for months at a time. I'm still waiting for the winter cover I purchased and was supposed to be put on in Oct 2023, it is now March of 2024. I have very little confidence we'll ever get it. CBA ghosted us mid project after collecting more than $80,000 from us. We have not seen or heard from them since December 2023, the day the shotcrete was sprayed and forms were left in. We signed the contract in July 2020. They finished the pool in May 2022. It was a nightmare getting it done. They didn't have people to help build the pool and the manager, Morgan Hunt, went to a 7-Eleven to pick up undocumented Latinos to help finish the pool. The Latinos brought in several cases of Beer and attempted to put on the tile while drinking on the job. I told them they needed to leave but they didn't listen and started putting the tiles on crooked. I left numerous voice messages and emails to Jason, the owner, and never got a call or email. Morgan finally called me and showed up on-site. He saw the crooked tiles and ended up firing the guys. He found another crew who had to redo all the work and ensure the tiles were properly placed. So many issues transpired with multiple leaks of our pool. They built our pool on a hill(up against the hill drop). They didn't tell me I needed a retaining wall. So we had to get a structural engineer to asses and they were so shocked that Crystal Blue Acauatics built the pool on a steep hill. We ended up getting a 14 foot high retaining wall costing us $148,000 with an engineering company (JES). The total cost of the pool through Crystal Blue Aquatics =$130,000. I would have never purchased the pool had I known we needed to get a huge retaining wall to avoid the massive erosion that would transpire after building the pool. Crystal Blue pools is fabulous! They have been servicing my pool and client's pools for years. The service team is wonderful and provides prompt and courteous service each week and always provides a follow up email. Jason snd his team gave my pool a facelift last year as well, with a new pebble tech surface, tile and reset all my pool coping and RE-caulked everything. It looks like a brand new pool. We hired this company to install a pool and they have ghosted us. We started this process in 2021 and we are at the last step for plaster and haven't heard a word. The owner Jason, won't' communicate any longer and when he did it was text messages filled with empty promises of dates and times that he would come and have someone finish the job to now nothing, We are so sad as we have children and we're hoping that we could finally have them use the pool this summer. This has been very disappointing and heartbreaking as my home has a gigantic cement empty box in the back and I am out thousands of dollars! I just want them to finish my pool and I am at a point where I have no idea what to do anymore. When we call the office we get the same secretaries that answer the phone and say "hold on" knowing that he either is not there or is screening his calls and states that we will give him the message. Installed a Jandy pool heater on April 12, 2018 for $4,115.00. After the installation they would not return phone calls or service the heater that was installed incorrectly. I would not recommend this company and I am not sure why Jandy allows them to be an authorized dealer. read more

Unprofessional, unresponsive, "tried" to charge me more money than what was contracted, late, did not come every week for maintenance throughout the summer according to their contract, did not communicate what they did during maintenance, never closed the pool and never explained why even though it was part of the contract, late, did not clean the pool well, sloppy work on the pool renovation, never replaced a cracked coping tile even though it was a manufacturer's issue (too difficult), was expensive, unresponsive to phone calls and emails, late, unresponsive, late, unresponsive, late and unresponsive. I was frustrated with them from May until October and will never use them again. I should have done better research before contracting with them. read more

I had been working with Crystal Blue for all of my pool needs including new heater (2013), new filter system (2014) and new pool overhaul (2015) as well as weekly service contract until this year. They had always been responsive and mostly professional with a few miscommunication events here and there. Sadly this has all changed. I received an email from their new service manager this winter promising upgrades to service and the team with tales of a more professional organization...sorry, this just isn't true. I set up my pool opening in February for this week only to arrive home on the planned day with the cover still in place. We had another pool company that installed our pool and they did a horrific job and left us hanging with a pool we could not swim in during the hottest days of Summer! Jason and his crew are great guys to work with. We talked to several other pool builders but ultimately decided that Crystal Blue Aquatics was the right choice for us. It was very important to us that whoever we chose to build our pool was responsive and Jason has always responded to texts, emails and phone calls mostly within an hour or so. You won't get that with other builders. Lots of choices on materials that are top notch included in the base price. These would normally be options with other builders. Jason was on site with his guys every day and managed the project very well. He provided a project schedule that I thought would be impossible to meet however he ended up beating the schedule and had us swimming in our pool for a party we had planned before we ever signed the contract. Price of the pool was very competitive with other custom builders but he included all the extras at the base price. CBA is by far the best pool company with which I have worked in my 18 years as a pool owner; they are the fourth company. Their service technicians are experts and hard working. I use CBA for my openings/closings/weekly service and any repairs/renovations I might need. They are not the cheapest company, but I have always believed in the adage you get what you pay for, so I am glad to pay for the superior service I get. Last year I hired CBA to change the sand in my filter. They charged a premium price. They put in one-half of the amount required, and the filter didn't work. When I called to have them take a look, I was ignored. I hired another pool company to examine the filter. The top had been put on so tight it couldn't be opened and had to be cut. That's when I was told that it had only one half of the required sand. Plus I had to buy a new filter. Very expensive debacle. read more
