You will receive glasses with bumps and bubbles on the top, uneven linings and edging, incorrect amount of glasses, and all sorts of problems! Will they refund you or make it right? Nope. Will they respond with fits of rage and anger over their mistakes that they completely deny? Yupp! Let me preface this review by saying that to me, customer service is EVERYTHING. I placed an order for a set of beer mugs with custom engraving for good friends of myself and my husband. The order arrived well in advance of the original 10 business day estimate. I was actually quite excited to receive the glasses; we've been searching for an engraving company to partner with for our muscle car club's semi-annual track races. Unfortunately the moment that the mugs arrived I was sorely disappointed. The sample shown online had the letters in the surname capitalized which was quite elegant. The glasses that we received were different. Only the first and last letters of their surname were capitalized while all others were lowercase. Not only did it throw off the symmetry of the design but it made the final letter "i" look like a lowercase "L." I emailed the owner of the company, Eric Schuchart, whose business card was included inside the box. He was eager to help at first but then told me that there was nothing wrong with the lettering and it was indeed a capitalized "i" at the end. He offered to let us select another design if we would pay for the shipping. I emailed him back and told him that I appreciated the offer but felt that I should not pay any additional shipping. His response was curt and he said that it wasn't worth the hassle and was giving me a refund rather than a corrected order. I'd advise him that quality customer service is ALWAYS worth what he refers to as a "hassle." Not only did he lose my personal business but he also lost any future business that our club or our business may have been interested in conducting. Their website claims that they have a unique method of carving glassware. It is known as sand casting, glass sandblasting, etc. I have since found numerous companies offering similar work and quality and will give them my business instead since this "isn't worth the hassle." Laura and her team were impressively responsive, quick, honest and flexible. She took an image from a picture and designed within 30 minutes a sample. Then was able to make changes and tweaks as I requested. She was able to get it shipped out within a day and I received what I needed days before my event. I was so happy with the beer mugs I received from Crystal Imagery for fathers day, I immediately told myself I had to write a great review on Yelp for them. Life has a funny way of getting in the way of the things we want to do so here it is a month later but these mugs are so great it has stayed on my mind. After hunting through the internet for a custom design on a beer mug, I was completely disappointed in what was available and was about to place an order for a plain old name etching. Not wanting to settle I thought I'd check out one of my go to places for custom work. I didn't think I'd find anything special as far as glasswork is concerned on Etsy but this is where I found the designs from Crystal Imagery. I was in awe... exactly what I wanted to get for my dad for fathers day. The only thing is that fathers day was a week away and all the other companies I was looking at were telling me it would be a two week turnaround or pay more than double for rush shipping. I tracked down the number to Crystal Imagery on their web site and spoke directly to Eric. He was very helpful and told me he would get my order completed and sent out the next day to get them in time for Father's day at no additional cost. I was so happy that I was going to get them on time but I was a bit apprehensive about getting too excited because I wanted to see what they looked like in my hand. When I got them I was very happy to see the mugs looked amazing!! The only thing I would have done differently would be to have the design etched into both sides of the mug. My bad for not mentioning it but when I get a mug set for myself, you better believe it's gonna have it on both sides!! The quality of these mugs is so good I am trying to see how I can turn every gift into a custom-mug occasion. I will definitely be ordering more mugs and glasses from Crystal Imagery. Ordered online through their yahoo store. I did send a couple emails with questions I had, and did not get a quick or welcoming response, but I decided to order anyway. I wanted a custom order that was not listed on their site, so I added an item similar to what I wanted with my exact request in the comments section. Within about 4-5 days, I had a tracking number and a week and a half later, my items were delivered. They go the order exactly as I had described, and it looks great. The engraved glasses are unique, and quality is excellent. Make sure you specify exactly how you want the lettering (ie all caps, all lowercase, etc...) when ordering. I thought I was getting all caps as in the photo, but the glasses arrived with only the first letter capitalized--they still look great and I wasn't disappointed, however. Not worthy of one star. I ordered a set of glasses for a gift. Two weeks after ordering them I got an email saying I could track my package here. I clicked on the link and there was no tracking number. I emailed the owner of the company, and you can tell someone never learned any manners, to hopefully get this info. At first he seemed helpful, and then 4 days went by and nothing. I know it was the holidays but I gave him 4 days before asking again for my tacking number. The email response from the owner was so rude and came across as I was bothering this man by asking him to check my order number (aka your job) He literally copied and pasted info from the website and emailed that back to me. I was upset by this email and even tried to remain cool calm and collected. I emailed back thanking for the info but that all I really needed was the tracking number. His response to me implicated that everything was my fault and how dare I bother him. At this point, I felt insulted. I emailed back to cancel my order, the perfect gift for someone on my holiday list, and instead of apologizing for his terrible customer service, he responded done, saying it with pleasure. It's a shame this owner is in the retail industry when he has no concept of what customer service is, and how vital it is to the growth of his company. Word of mouth is the most important marketing tool one has, and I have nothing nice to say. It's a shame, because the product looked great and the quality could have been there.
