This is the most honest review you will ever receive about this place so please read it thoroughly. We bought a membership here because we live close by. The lagoon is nice and the restaurant is convenient. The food is 6/10 and sometimes 7/10 on a good day. The drinks are reasonably priced and the convenience of location makes up for any shortcomings of the bar such as understaffing.
However...
New management/leadership has arrived and they've decided to run the place as if the books are poverty stricken. Restaurant was initially closed on Mondays. Now the restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesdays. The lagoon swim up bar is almost never staffed and it's rarely open. The mgt's response was that this is the off season and there's not enough business to justify staffing and keeping things open 7 days a week. Ok..... So again, you're running this place like a poor house. We signed up for a facility that was open 7 days a week. Offer things that will bring your clientele in during the off season. I don't know, maybe run it like a business? We are real estate investors. We don't work a 9-5. If we want to eat a burger and have a drink on a Tuesday we want to do it and expect you to have the facilities open. Having money problems? I have a great solution, raise the membership fees! Or abide by the rules of your own membership levels and maybe more people will buy your higher tier pkg. Want us to pass the hat and pay your employees for you? Just let us know.
Pro tip:
A $1400 annual membership gets you full access to the lagoon, the swim up bar and all common areas. Essentially you don't have access to their indoor restaurant during the day (prior to 6 pm) or to the weight training. Otherwise you have full access.
A $5000 annual membership gets you full access including the during the day restaurant and the weight training fitness facilities. But here's the comical part, when the lagoon swim up bar is closed (also known as always) the lower tier membership by default has access to the inside bar and restaurant.
So, for 3600 more you get a weight room is the reality. Lol. Don't let them tell you or sell you anything different.
But it gets better! Soon there will be a margaritaville built at the other end of the lagoon. All exclusivity will be off as they give day passes to any guests. This actually is a huge positive as the simple minded mgt degenerates running the facility now will have enough pencil pushing justification to keep the place in the black and open 7 days a week. As I'm writing this I just realized margaritaville is going to be a big win lol. Disregard this review, the arrival of Margaritaville will resolve the deficiencies of the mgt and ownership of this "poor house" exclusive "club" lol.........
My review should shorten to:
Too lazy to delete. Just buy the low tier pkg or get a day pass from the new hotel. Skip the sales pitch, this is CLASSIC someone with money decided to open a business that they have no interest in running the day to day operations and truthfully no business being in business in the first place. Imbeciles.
The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the the place has potential to be something great. It's pretty. It just needs real businessmen to come own it. Please come flip this place into something great! read more
