I've been to the Benzonia clinic a few times and they've always been professional, polite and able to diagnose my issue and take care of me. I don't use them for complex issues, but they've been helpful when I couldn't get in to see my primary care physician. read more

I would defiantly not recommend this place! I went in for a simple annual exam. I had to do my labs twice because they messed up the first time, but then they charged me for both times and ended up paying $110 extra because no one would fix their mistake . they charge you for a new patient exam coming in then you go back to read your results and they charge you for an annual exam. They're double dipping on this and I've never had this happen before. I will say that the doctor, Ashley goss was very professional, and very very kind. If it wasn't for all the insurance mess ups, and the way I was treated about it, I would be going back to her. This is the first time I've ever gone on Facebook or anywhere to complain about a doctors office that I've gone to. It was just so ridiculous. I just feel other people need to know. read more

Absolutely awful. Do not recommend. Go somewhere else with competent medical staff. They were rude, vindictive, and spiteful. They did not listen to my concerns/symptoms which resulted in being misdiagnosed and charged an exorbitant fee for labs that I asked not to be tested for (testing negative previously). After I had issues here, multiple people told me how horrible this place was. I wish I knew that before. Looks like they're living up to their google 2 star rating (which is generous). If you're looking for a professional caregiver this is not the place unless you see an actual physician which is difficult! Once this was an awesome practice but they have hired so many inept mid-levels (PA's & NP's) to take over the patient load. They hire inexperienced caregivers such as Jessica E. Heron, PA-C. She is inadequate in the understanding and caring for a patient individual needs, lacks interest in their medical history, not up to date with prescribing a simple drug such as prednisone, and recommends over-the-counter drugs to cure a severe case of bronchitis. This PA needs to be educated in the process of assessment, diagnosis, implementation, best treatment and outcome, and not just treating in a formulary fashion learned in a textbook! Walk ins are clearly NOT welcome!! The sign says "Walk ins Welcome"... When I came in and needed medical attention, the receptionist was not only RUDE,but clearly unwilling to allow me to see a Dr. Terrible shame on this office!!! My suggestion would be to go to Traverse to a place called "the Walk In Clinic"! Farther away, but willing to help and the receptionist , nurses, and ESP. the Dr. were amazing!! read more

Both I and my husband have gone to this clinic for our primary care for years. I am well acquainted with their front office staff and the medical personnel in the back, including Dr. Mahoney, who I like very much. They have taken good care of us and tried to accommodate us when medical needs came up on short notice. I notice the other (nasty) reviews are from people who appear to live elsewhere. That's another reason why I like living here. People are kind and appreciative. read more

Dr. Omara is our pediatrician and although I like him as a doctor and he always does a great job with my kids, the policies the he has in place for appointments make it almost impossible for a parent to get their child an appt. The latest appt of the day ever available is 3:45, he will not take more than 2 appts from the same family in the same day, and he only practices from one office. These are not outrageous requests but when you pile them all together it makes it very hard for a working mom to get her children in for their well-child appts in a timely manner. read more

My name is Sara Secrist. I was a patient when my medicare/medicaid began, and location for convenience. It was the 1st appointment with a health care provider. I was diagnosed with diabetes, where I was told to not eat anything white. I was completely unaware! She didnt provide any referrals for any medical facilities that help educate how to fight this disease. I cannot recall her name, since I was irritated by the time seen = 15 min., per patient. I had problems with my feet , as a result of my diabetes. My care provider said I needed to make another appointment. oops! TIME'S UP. Ugh! I was upset, to say the least! I immediatly went to urgent care, where I was treated with great care for more than an hour. I felt like a human being in need, instead of a time slot for 15 min. When I called to cancell appointment for the next week. The receptionist was annoyed and said (gritting her teeth), "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN"! I never went back. I must say: Do Not Go! read more

Walk ins are NOT WELCOME. You need to PLAN on getting sick in advance so you can make an appointment. There are 12 of these Crystal Lake Clinics scattered throughout NW Michigan. All of these clinics keeps the same hours therefore there is no overlap in services or availability. There is NO WHERE for anyone that lives up here or is visiting to receive minor (unplanned) medical care. NO WHERE!!! This is nonsense. Life does not fit neatly in a 9:00-5:00 window M-F. read more

be cautious taking your children to the pediatrician located in benzonia. they over vaccinated my daughter. although the doctor was apologetic I didn't receive one apology from the nurse who actually made the mistake. administration never reached out nothing. very sad that their office could be so incompetent with an infant like that... they also updated her records incorrectly and reported 2 rotavirus that her new doctors office noticed. they denied that they made this mistake but then fixed it in the system! get your stuff together if you going to take care of people. you should be able to trust your doctors office over anything! I was refused medical treatment today by Crystal Lake Clinic. Tina from accounts payable has the authority to refuse a patient with an outstanding balance. I owe 235.00 dollars from a visit charged when I thought my insurance was in effect and was told so at the front desk, that it was in effect, and later received the bill. Under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act it states that a hospital or clinic cannot refuse treatment if the patient feels it is an emergency. It doesn't say if the person in accounts payable thinks its an emergency. I currently have insurance and offered to make a payment and pay my current co pay charge. She refused. I have a history of pneumonia and bronchitis, and have a cough I wanted listened to. I am interested in this law and will be doing further research. I will point out that she was very rude also. read more

I have been going to this office for some time now, hoping it would get better!! I love my doctor there but the office staff is completely incompetent and I am now seeing a new doctor. I had blood work done and it took them 6 weeks to get back to me with my results and that was after I called every day for 6 days! Then come to find out there was something very wrong with me and I needed a referral to have a procedure done and it took them 4 weeks to fax a referral over. Over FOUR WEEKS to fax a piece of paper!!! This office is very negligent to it's patients and I wouldn't send my worst nightmare to been seen here!! There is no excuse for the office staff to be so LAZY!!!! If they care so little about the wellbeing of the patients that are seen there they need to get out of the health field! read more
