the nail tech here is so so good!!! 10/10 recommend. he is so talented. i drive 20 min just to get my nails done here because he is just that good. i paid 53 for the custom nails and gave a 7 dollar tip, so 60. which is really not horrible for good quality nails. UPDATE i'm sorta disappointed only bc one of my nails broke after only 6 days and it's kinda frustrating because they usually last me 3 weeks. last set i came in with from the same nail tech had two nails that were completely off. just frustrating because now i have to go back after a week. read more

Nail tech seemed upset that we arrived during a little bit of snow. Burned my nail several time because the speed of the drill and length of time was too much. Cuticle Cutter was NOT sterilized and he used the same one on my daughter. Here's a photo of what I asked for and what I got. I had the length and he ruined it. Clean salon, owner seems nice. I've been here twice. However my second experience was not like the first. the young girl that did my gel manicure was very unfriendly. I think it's safe to say everyone looks forward to the 2 min shoulder massage we pay for and she literally might as well have been brushing me with a feather. She had her back positioned to the owner to make it look like she was actually massaging me, in fact she was just pretending to and it was so unbelievable. Average Asian nail salon with caveats. One of the tech's had her small child in the salon who had no concept of boundaries and touched and poked me multiple times while her mother paid no attention. I want to relax when getting my nails done personally. My acrylic fill turned out ok, polish job was below average as you can see in the photo attached. The shaping is decent. My tech was a little unfriendly but maybe she was stressed about having to bring her child, and the other who gave me a massage and pedicure was alright but gave a pretty weak massage honestly. Won't return. Did appreciate the sterile tools and large selection of gel polish but those were the only positives. read more

Prices are decent and service was good. I was a walk in with my fiancé and we both got pedicures. He opted for the milk spa pedicure and I did the lavender. They use the hot stones to massage and do a great job at cleaning and scraping off calluses at the bottom of the feet. When we walked in it was empty so I'm not sure how it differs to them being full. But overall my pedicure was relaxing. I did gel on my toes and nails and got a little heart design. Lol could've gone without the design but what's an extra $5? Overall happy with the service and they gave a free rose for Valentine's Day which I thought was such a cute touch to the end of the service. They also give your complimentary shoulder massage. I think they're great and they take time to make sure your nails come out the way you want them too. As for my fiancé, he works in construction and so his feet were terrible lol but they took the extra time to really get his calluses and shape his toes as well as giving a great foot massage. He felt so pampered and relaxed lol. If your looking for a new place in Newtown I'd recommend it.. plus there's a TJ max in the center so you can always go shopping afterwards lol, my fiancé wasn't a fan of that, but I dragged him along anyway! I usually don't add negative reviews, but I was super disappointed about how my nails turned out and the service under the new ownership. This salon used to be my regular salon when I lived in the area. I had to wait a bit of time which is understandable during COVID, but the guy who did my nails rushed and the day after my nail cracked off and then two days after another nail chipped very badly, and these are powder nails. I came in for a pedicure and the girl kept trying to sell me a special pedicure. After I told her I do not want anything special just a regular pedicure she would not let me put my feet in the water. She proceeded to clean my toes, file the nails and attempt to remove ingrown nail without soaked feet. The purpose is to soak the feet to make it easier to clean and less painful for the customer. The girl refused to let me after I asked her twice and explained my reasoning. She finally let me put my feet in the water which was cold, only to make me remove them after a few seconds so she can start to apply polish. The paint job on my toes was not great and less than a week later, is already coming off. My nails have lines on the side where he missed part of my nail. The actual pedi had a VERY short massage and I had to pay extra for the foot file. The guy was friendly and what I had of a short massage was decent. One time I had to wait about 30 minutes past my appointment but that's what happens when other clients are late to theirs, understandable, and the owner gave me a discount with out hesitation. This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had at a nail shop. I absolutely would NOT recommend going here. There are other nail shops in Newtown. I arrived with my two young daughters to get everyone's nails done. Never have I been to a "run of the mill" nail shop that will not take me because I do not have an appointment. If this was a spa I would completely understand the need for an appointment rather this is a nail shop in a shopping strip. So we entered and waited for about 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged our presence. When she did she asked what services I was getting and then stated that they were "busy and had appointments that were coming". I politely said ok, I would take my business elsewhere and walked out. I was going here for awhile to get the powdered gel. Every once in awhile I would chip before 2 weeks. But the last time I went it was atrocious. The one who did my nails the last time literally cut my skin around my nail on 4 fingers. I had to ask multiple times to fix the shape as well. No later than 20 mins later after driving home I went to open my front door and a nail broke!!!! To say the least I was pissed because I already went back in and said something about how she cut my skin so badly. So I called and demanded my money back because all I got was a sorry. When I went back the owner was there and I told her how unprofessional her employees were about the situation. She fixed my nail and gave me my money back. Welp not even a week and half later I have had 6 more broken nails! They are cracking and chipping so bad. I come here quite often and they do a pretty good job, I do have to say when your getting your nails done, the way I do(Extensions and powder) they switch up the people a LOT. So it gets confusing, they have Nicked me a few times. They are decently clean, but not as welcoming as you would like. On the phone i asked how much was a SNS nail extension, the lady told me $35 & I figured that was reasonable, so I book an appointment. I get there, and I show the lady a picture of what I want, and she completely ignores using tips on my nails to extend the nail. I asked what she was doing and she said that I booked an appointment for SNS no extension, when I know for a fact that I asked for SNS extension because right after the phone call I texted my mother telling her to come with me to get her nails done as an SNS extension with me. I asked the nail tech if she could do tips and she said it's too late and it will be an extra 15 dollars for tips. She didn't even file my nails down evenly, some are in the shape of coffin, some are almond, and my thumbs are square. I don't know if I'll be coming here again. I was going here for awhile for pedicures which is why they get 2 stars for good pedicures. Recently I started to use them for SNS. They are using old powder that chips in a couple days. They tried to charge me full price to fix it after a week. She knocked a whole $10 off the full SNS price to fix. I paid $60 in 1 week for them to do it twice. (Not including all the $ to tip) what a waste of time and money. I was happy to tip them to fix it or even would have been okay to fix for a small fee. I got my nails done at a place out of state with new polish and powders and it lasted 4 weeks! Usually I go every 3-4 weeks to change SNS at other places. Never going here again. read more
