I came in without an appointment and was quickly seated by a tall man who did my nails. I was in a rush, so I did not get a good look at them until I got home last night. He did not do a great job. I have never posted a bad review. Not bc I've never had a bad experience anywhere, but bc i don't want to hurt anyone's business by my one negative comment. However, I felt this was warranted bc of a public health concern. I've been having my nails for a long time and have been loyal to one salon that I love near my home. I had an unexpected event one day and needed a gel fill asap. They couldn't fit me in so I had no choice to go elsewhere. I called JJ and they got me In Right away. When I walked in , the first thing I noticed was that the place was dirty . That's when I should have turned around and left. But I didn't. Within a week all my nails were broken and I had a green spot on one of my nails. That NEVER happened to me before. I was informed by my regular salon that I contracted a fungus. I have been getting my nails done by JOJO since she opened. The salon is clean and I am always welcomed by name. Her powder gel manicures last weeks and if there is an issue, she has always been willing to fix it. She is the only person I will let wax my eyebrows and my daughter's eyebrows because she knows exactly how to make them look perfect without over waxing. read more

Ugh. The personality of the owner was very pleasant but the job she did was very disappointing. Couldn't wait for the nails to grow out enough to go back to my favorite salon to my favorite manicurist to get them done again. (She was away and I HAD to get them done) and this place was not far from home. I was very hopeful based on the good reviews I had read. But honestly, they were very thick. Went for a spa pedicure for my first time at this salon. To begin, the side of my left big toe was filed down so harshly I began to immediately bleed and now have a large chunk of skin removed from the side of my foot with a terrible scab. The tech was holding my foot so hard it was hard to even pull my foot back before I could even say anything. I was trying to enjoy my pedicure so once it was acknowledged that she made my foot bleed I closed my eyes again to relax. Before I knew it I felt a pinch on my right foot and I looked down to see the tech using cuticle clippers. I didn't even think cuticle clippers were allowed to be used at nail salons in ct anymore. Well that was the second "injury".. the toe on my right foot is now completely infected and I will need to seek medical care. It has been difficult to walk in shoes and barefoot. To say I am upset is an understatement. I will never return to this establishment and I would encourage anyone planning to go in the future to be observant of the tools this salon is using. The clippers didn't come out of a separate bag or sanitizing machine so clearly they had bacteria on them. I have a wedding to go to this weekend and now have one foot with a huge scab and the right foot now has an infection that will most likely be lanced when I see a dr in the morning. I won't even bother posting a photo of my feet because they are both disgusting looking, not to mention the paint job was so bad, it looked like I did it myself with my non dominant hand. read more

Quiet impressed with this place. They did their best to honor my appointment time. The pedi foot spa tub had individual liners and the tool kit was all individual. The girl did a great job at both my mani & pedi, in and out in about an hour. Free wifi too. read more

This was my first time here and I'm so glad I found this salon! I live in Milford and I typically go to orange to get my nails done, but the dip powder would always crack on me when I would get it done. I knew it had to be happening because the nail tech wasn't doing something correctly, so I started looking for another salon to try out. I was near Trumbull so I figured I would look for a salon in that area, and JJ nails had good reviews so I gave it a shot, I'm so glad I did! I didn't realize this salon was appointment only since it was my first time here but the owner took me anyway, and didn't mind. She did a fantastic job shaping my nails just how I wanted, and I can tell she did the dip powder correctly unlike the other salons I have been going to. My nails feel nice and strong, especially at the tips because she reinforced them with an additional coating of dip just at my tips. I will absolutely be back! read more

All the staff are wonderful and Jojo (owner) always ensures all of her customers are happy before they leave! When they first opened this was my new place to go in Monroe. Very clean, really took their time, offered something to drink, etc. It was actually very enjoyable and I was really able to relax. Now when I go, I either have to wait even with an appointment; if you have the owners do your nails they usually try working on more than one person at a time to get more customers in and it's just not relaxing at all. Forget about getting a massage either because I can't even remember the last time I got a massage with my gel manicure. With all the competition in the area, you would think they would want to cater to their clients. I think they need to hire more staff. To me it's just another nail salon in Monroe now which is too bad. read more
