I have been a loyal neighborhood customer of Crystal Nails for years. Lately there has been a change in staff and I could not be more disappointed than my last experience. The person doing my nails clearly did not know how to do a French tip so she eventually called in somebody else who removed everything she did and then completed a really sloppy job on my nails. They did not speak to me at all and simply acted frustrated that I was even there. It was super expensive, and the customer service was not only rude, but extremely uncomfortable. While I've been going there for nearly 15 years, I will never go back. Despite the horrible service, I still gave a holiday tip and I never even got a thank you. I would recommend that you get your nails done somewhere else. read more

I'm sad to report that what I thought was a perfectly acceptable salon, Crystal Nails is not dependable at keeping appointments. Is it normal to be kept waiting 30 minutes with an appointment? I understand if you are a walk-in, but 30 minutes is not right with an appointment. I was getting ready to walk out when suddenly someone rushed over to me. I should've known something was wrong when not ONE worker including the owner looked at me when I entered. They kept their heads down or only gave me furtive looks. After standing patiently for minutes, I finally had to wave my hand at someone and inform them that I had a 5:00 appointment. I only got a nod, and eventually someone pointed to a chair for me. If they didn't want the business, they should not have offered the appointment. Even if my pedicure was okay, and I over-tipped the manicurist, I doubt I will return. read more

The place itself is very nice and clean. I do not think the quality of my nails is worth the price I paid. They did a relatively good job on my toes but my hands are not well done. The person who did them seemed rushed even though there were only like 3 other people in the salon. Their price sign is not up to date either which made me second guess the price they quoted me of $80 for a many pedi (non gel). I don't think I'll return here. read more

But even worse my gel manicure lasted only 3 days!! 3 days!! That's a record. Even my pedicure chipped in less than a week. In the 20+ year I've been getting pedicures I've never had one chip. Also the woman did not properly attend to my ingrown. I've come back to get them fixed, and have waited 30 minutes again to be seen. Got my nails done here a few times and the first couple of gel manicures were ok, but not great. I went back today and instantly regretted it. I had gels on and the removal process was painful (they scraped without removing or soaking the polish in acetone just filing and applying a coat of some sort), they also left a lot on and the result was a bumpy and uneven paint job when they did my nails. I have multiple spots where they nicked my cuticles with aggressive filing. Will not return. read more

They messed up my friends acrylic toenail. all she asked for was to change the color of the polish and they started drilling it down and changing the shape. When she told them to fix it and that she wanted it to look like the other big toe that she didn't do yet they said ok yet didn't fix it and just have assed rushed it. read more

Then tried to do a service on my nails I did not want and something completely opposite of what I made my appointment for. After they were a half an hour late to my appointment, they said they didn't have time to do my nails for what I made the appointment for. Do not go to this salon! Simple pedicure ended in bleeding toes, few of the toes are now infected. I can't wear any shoes except the softest sneakers and can't walk more than 100-200 yards without pain. That wasn't really an issue until he gets too rough with it and splits my real nail in half on my pinky finger. I don't think I've ever been so tense during a pedicure. I was planning to pay a little extra for a scrub or stone massage, but they didn't offer any special services. The lady that did my pedicure worked really fast and cut me multiple times. She tried covering my toe when it was bleeding as if I didn't feel it or see it... usually when I get a pedicure I am asked if I want my nails cut or just filed. She didn't ask me and immediately cut my nails as short as possible... I spoke up and asked her not to cut the rest of them but to file only and she disregarded it and continued to cut the rest of them down pretty much to the skin. My mom and I came here today and were extremely pleased - in fact, my mom, who is very sensitive to odors and touch, said this was the very best pedicure she has ever had. What impressed me right away was the ambiance - spacious interior, natural light, vaulted ceiling, classy decor, and "crystal" clean. It definitely has a spa feeling. The foot baths were like mini jacuzzis, blissfully bubbling with gentle jets. Each had a lime floating in it, which they used in the foot massage! (I want to try that at home) Each of us received the royal treatment (that's how it felt) on our feet, followed by an invigorating leg massage before moving on to the polish, which was applied expertly...so about 30 minutes of pampering and ten minutes of painting...all for $27! (plus tip) The women who served us (only women work there) were very quiet (I don't know if they spoke much English), courteous, and calm. The whole experience was serene. I'm not one to make reviews about small businesses like this. But I am so unsatisfied with their service. I've been here once before for a gel manicure and pedicure and it was fine but a little expensive so I went somewhere else. I wanted to get my nails done for my graduation and they were the closest to where I live. I showed them a reference photo and it looks NOTHING like what I showed them. I told the lady that I wanted a square shape nail, and pastel yellow with some flower art and I even said that if they weren't able to, it would be okay and I would just pick a different solid color. DID NOT listen to anything I said at all. The yellow nail color is so streaky and it's bubbling and there's so much spaces! The art looks like a sunny side up egg rather than a daisy flower. While they were cleaning my nails, I kept flinching and kept saying that it hurt cause they were pulling and tugging so hard but literally heard nothing. They offered the woman next to me a towel to rest their feet on but just told me to lay my foot on the cold floor. I wasn't expecting to be treated like a princess but I at least wanted to be heard ESPECIALLY if I'm paying over $50 for work that's definitely worth less. It's so upsetting. read more

this is my second time here and shame on me. the first time I went to have gel removed from my toes and my person used cuticle cutters to pull the gel off. in doing so, she ripped my large toenail and it pulled off of my toe. there was blood. the owner came over with some mesh and managed to glue it to my nail but believe me when o say I walked out of there with my feet looking worse the. they ever have. and they charged me full price. I stupidly returned for a pedicure, this time to put polish back on my nails. My person cut the sides of my big toenails down so far on the sides that I asked her to not do it to my other big toe. But she did. Clearly a language barrier there. So, I said, oh, I asked you not to do that...then all 5 employees came over to talm to Rachel (I have no idea what they were saying), it was so embarrassing.
