Shortly thereafter we relocated to NOVA. And I need not tell you how difficult it was to find reliable healthcare following the pandemic. It took me two years to find a dentist with a good rating who was taking new patients. Since two years had passed without a cleaning, I was a bit worried, especially since I was suffering from bleeding gums and really sore teeth. But, the hygienist was amazingly gentle--but effective. She was patient and worked through my trouble spots slowly and methodically, and managed to finish the cleaning with spectacular results. I loved her confidence, and her ability to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. And it was! Before I knew it, she had me right as rain. Moreover, the bleeding stopped, and my sore spots have returned to normal! Thank God for that! The Dentist is a casual, straightforward man who brings years of experience to his practice, and it's evident he knows his stuff. He gave me a very thorough jaw/joint evaluation, and offered me some excellent advice on how to preserve my joints. He didn't try to "car bump" me into procedures that were not necessary. His conservative approach tells me he is interested in a long term relationship, rather than a quick profit. Tried to do expensive x-rays at every visit which was an issue because I had to assert no multiple times and 2. Asserted I had cavities at each visit when I floss daily, use fluoride mouthwash twice a day, and brush twice a day. I never was shown these do-called cavities on my x-rays either. Anyways that brought me to Dr. Cote whenever it was time for my six month cleaning. I first checked him out because he is located in the same building I live in making it ultra convenient with a 1 month old baby in tow. Check in was easy-the receptionist was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. The hygienist was super thorough and did a superb job cleaning my teeth. The time it then took Dr. Cote to see me was minimal and he was thorough as well. He was very personable- did not try to upcharge or up sell any cosmetic services (which I've experienced in the past). He's from Pittsburgh, as am I, so I enjoyed talking about the utter disaster of a Steelers game (vs. Chargers) the night before. I'm returning in 6 months and hope to have as positive of an experience as I did my first visit!
