    Flowers and colors everywhere!

Me and my friends came here and we were thrilled once we parked our campers. This place was so beautiful and clean! Val who owns the place is so friendly. We enjoyed talking to her about the future of place she has. There's hook ups, bathrooms, picnic table and fire pit for our convenience. The views are fantastic! We wanted to try to kayak the Portneuf river but it was too cold for us that morning but I bet that's a must. Overall, we more than enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back. Thanks Val!

Great location and wonderful host. Had to make last minute booking due to yellow stone flooding. Was totally worth it.

Paris Springs Campground - Campsite fire pit

Firstly I'd like to say if I could rate this zero stars i'd do so in a heartbeat…read more Our experience at Paris Springs Campground was unfortunately overshadowed by one of the most unprofessional and upsetting interactions we've ever had while camping. We had booked our site through the official website, fully under the impression that we were staying at a first-come, first-served site. Our first night went smoothly. However, things took an unexpected turn on the second day when we returned from the lake and were kindly informed by another group that they had reserved the same site. We were confused but respectful, and immediately began packing up to avoid any conflict. When the rest of our group arrived, we decided to clarify the situation with the camp host--a decision we quickly came to regret. Rather than offering an explanation or any semblance of professionalism, the host immediately told us, "Pack up or I'm calling the cops." This was said without listening to our concerns and while we were already in the process of packing. Moments later, he returned to our site and began yelling at us, escalating an already tense situation. We were stunned. Not only were we not given the basic courtesy of a conversation, but the host also made several false accusations--including that we hadn't paid for our second night, which was completely untrue. We tried to resolve the issue by offering the payment again in person, which he refused. In the end, we had no choice but to leave the money behind and vacate in a rush--so quickly, in fact, that our gear was packed haphazardly, and we fear some of our belongings may now be damaged. This experience left us not only disappointed but honestly hurt. We were treated with hostility, not as paying guests or even as fellow human beings seeking clarity in a confusing situation. Camping should be about community, nature, and peace--not intimidation and aggression. Due to the camp host's behavior and the complete lack of professionalism, we cannot recommend Paris Springs Campground to others. We hope future guests are treated with more respect and dignity than we were.

We stayed at this campground for the 4th of July weekend. It's a really lovely, quiet campground in…read morethe Cache National Forest. The upsides: This campground is surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery. There is fresh drinking water and lots of shade in the campsites. Each campsite has a fire pit and a large picnic table. The campground is next to a creek and is a short 300-yard hike from Paris Springs, a cool little spot to see. It's also about a 30 minute drive to Bear Lake's north shore. The downsides: Mosquitoes are present throughout the entire day. Bring lots of bug spray! The road to the campground is a 4-mile long dirt road which may get pretty rough in wet weather. Also, the bathrooms have pit toilets and do not have sinks or showers. We really enjoyed our stay here and would be glad to camp here again if we're in the area. I would recommend reserving your campsite online ahead of time to make sure you get a spot.

When I visited, it was late afternoon on a Saturday in July. The parking lot was completely full, but we got lucky and were able to grab a spot just as someone left. It was clear that many people had enjoyed activities in the lake earlier in the day (swimming, kayaking, and fishing), due to the state of the restrooms and all of the large amount of sleepy-looking children sitting around. Since we weren't planning to go in the water, I think we arrived at the perfect time of day to enjoy the scenery. The nature trail around the lake was beautiful, especially with all the wildflowers blooming! I'd recommend doing the full trail, which is just 1.2 miles around with approximately 60' elevation gain (more of a walk/stroll than a hike). Seeing all of the different types of wildflowers up close was incredible! If you would prefer to sit and enjoy the views instead of walking around the lake, I'd recommend brining your own chairs, as there were only a few tables and benches scattered around. After enjoying the trail, we drove through the campground and found it to be very pretty. There were lots of large pine trees, allowing for a fair amount of privacy for nearly all of the sites. Tony Grove would be a great stop on the way through Logan Canyon, but is also a destination in itself. Try to visit mid-summer to avoid the snow and catch the wildflowers in full bloom!
