I have been shopping here for years. My husband bought me a beautiful peridot ring for my birthday. One month later, after wearing it a handful of times, I looked down and both stones were gone. I have many other rings I wear more often and this has never been the case. I went in to see what my options were. It obviously came from them as there was a few of the exact rings there. She said I could exchange, no problem. I decided on the exact same ring to exchange. When it came time to exchange she asked for receipt. No mention of needing this the whole time we were looking. We did not keep receipt (he was not informed of any return/exchange policy) because I loved it! The employee was really rude and looked at me like I was dumb for trying to exchange a broken ring for a new one. What kind of customer service is this?! Know that if you buy jewelry (with the exception of those small stone necklaces) they WILL NOT exchange damaged jewelry without receipt. So now I have a broken ring that I will never wear and a store that I loved that I will no longer support. Nice work crystal works. read more

I've been searching high and low for a Gibeon Meteorite... for months, first off their the only store that even knew what the hell it was lmfao. Most importantly The speciesism and pricing were outta this world and this stuff ain't cheap nor easy to find for that matter. I couldn't get my funds to deposit into my account last night after sitting there two hours with the GM (Top notch dude that can spit some knowledge about all kinds of things as well ) and he was gonna end up mailing it to me next day, but without warning I showed up right at open following morning to purchase it. The gentleman ended up personally holding it for me and immediately drove to the store when he wasn't even supposed to be working, all just to make sure I was completely satisfied and got my piece. Amazing little crystal store the people here know their stuff and crystals!!! I am definitely coming again. Their crystals range from small stones to rather large pieces ranging in the 1,000's!!! They also have spheres and pyramids. Also on your 1st visit you get a free gift! And who doesn't like free gifts? I got a little Baggie of lavender. It is an amazing place with a lot of interesting things that shines! I bought a string of rainbow crystals and it is hanging outside our sunroom. Every morning around 10:00, arrays of colors enters the house! I'm still amazed at the gems of every cut stone that looks ordinary from the outside but incredibly beautiful inside, like the geode! I bought a little one just to remind myself that there's gems in the making in all of us under pressure. The Staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. Also, just the experience of holding a very rare stone from outer space was awesome! A little stone, the size of my two fists was incredibly heavy. I love the earrings and necklaces I've collected from this place. Every time I wear them, I have several comments from customers about its rarity and beauty. Crystal Works has an immense, and diverse collection of rocks that are pretty hard to find anywhere else. Myself being a rock collector, I can say that this is a unique place to browse, and purchase rocks. And furthermore it has an impressive collection of jewelry, and prayer beads if that's what you're looking for. Crystal works is an amazing shop. It's pretty nice place even though it's small. Cathleen is so so good & very energetic. She spoke about the gem stones for almost 20 minutes which I was looking for. According to me She gives more importance to customer rather than customer purchasing it & she gives full information on what you are looking for even if you are not buying in her shop. Overall it's a great place. She also insisted to get kids because I didn't take them because they might mess up but she was ok if kids would come. I have been to Crystal works a couple times. The first was just a random walk in when I was in the area. I was impressed with their selection and the helpfulness of the staff. I am by no means a rock hound, but I have a fondness for minerals as my grandfather was a geologist. They have some neat books and some beautiful stones. I have read some of the other reviews and I disagree with the comments about the staff. I have dealt with Paulette both times I have been there and she could not have been nicer while still giving me freedom to look around. If I could afford some of the more impressive crystals I would love it, but even at my lower price point I was able to find some good stuff. I would say at least check it out for the interesting stock, calm atmosphere, and interesting overall feel. read more

I got the opportunity to go to this store while visiting Austin this weekend and I absolutely adored it! Although it's a small space, I feel as though I could spend hours exploring all the different things in there. There's an impressively vast array of stones and gems to choose from and learn about, along with many candles, incenses, items of jewelry, books and home decor. The members on staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their merchandise as well. They can tell you about both the natural and believed metaphysical properties of each stone and answer pretty much any question you can think of and then some. When I went, I was helped with great enthusiasm, had a lovely conversation with the worker there and even got a free piece of malachite, feeling I would for some reason need it later on. What she said sounded spot-on for where I am right now, but I didn't say anything, because we'll see what comes my way! I'm not saying this to encourage egging on the staff there for free stuff, but just to demonstrate how delightfully friendly they are. For people interested in pretty things, stones, New Age and Earth-based spirituality or whatever else, this place is a must-see. read more
