Every month only has one slot, and all slots are gone after they are open for a second in a day.

We were there early since they sent him a notification (first come first serve). We were by 5:45 am. Once they arrived they started to setup "tests" in the parking lot of the RMV in Braintree which was closed. My son was then tested in their Driver's Ed car primarily (90%) in the parking lot. I watched as they asked him to perform parallel parking, signaling, and a 3-point turn. The person who was testing him (which we don't know if they are a RMV representative) failed him for a 3-point turn because (he was too far to the left of the cones". Why would cones positioning matter when a 3 point turn is executed to have you make a left toward the curb, and then reverse far enough to pull forward again to drive to the opposite side of a road. Again, this test was performed in a parking lot, not on a street where you can observe proper execution of a 3 point turn. While at the so-called "test", my son found out that of the 25 odd people there, they were all re-testing because they had failed the first time. Scam is written all of this operation. In addition to this charade of a test, he was supposed to have had a hour driving practice in the car he would be tested on August 5th. Instead we only received 30 minutes due to the company not specifying that for practice driving in their vehicle he *must* have a printed copy of his permit. We wasted 30 minutes discussing why this was necessary and then finding a UPS where we paid to print out a copy of the permit (which was on his phone). This company repeatedly did not respond to emails or calls leading up to the practice driving or the "test". The owner John stated that he had to fire his office person because she was not doing her job. Problem is, once he told us this, he didn't remedy the situation. In total I spent $250 and are not *any* closer to my son having his license. I will be reporting this company to the Mass Attorney General's office.

Their lessons were worlds apart from my initial lesson. I took 5 lessons with these guys and I got my license this morning! I booked the test through the school and it went *chef's kiss* so smooth and stress-free. Shout out to the receptionist as well for being super informative about what to expect/bring for the test. This rating would be 5 stars if not for my initial experience. My advice to potential students - and this honestly goes against my own ethos: if you're not vibing with one of the instructors, try another! Though a business really only gets one chance to make a first impression - there are some really good instructors at this school. Don't let one experience stop you from your endgame.

Inconsistent, Unprofessional, and Ultimately a Waste of Time & Money…read more I am writing this review on behalf of my father, a retired military Veteran from India, who just completed 7 lessons with Brookline Driving School. Unfortunately, his experience was overwhelmingly disappointing and I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Our primary issue was the complete lack of consistency between instructors. He had at least three different teachers, primarily switching between Ervin and Vitaly. While Ervin was patient and seemed to genuinely enjoy teaching, the same cannot be said for his counterpart. Vitaly was, frankly, obnoxious. He lacked basic respect for his students, was often loud and visibly frustrated, creating an environment where my father felt intimidated and unable to ask questions. If you don't have the patience for this job, why are you in it? To make matters worse, he made uncalled-for and stereotypical "jokes" about Indians being bad drivers, which was completely unprofessional and offensive. The biggest practical problem arose from this inconsistency. Ervin and Vitaly taught completely different techniques for parallel parking. One would say to do it one way, and the next lesson, the other would contradict it. This constant change in instruction confused my father daily and shattered his confidence. The culmination of this failure was on his road test. He failed specifically because of the parallel parking maneuver. The conflicting advice from his own instructors left him unsure of the correct method, leading to a critical error. I hold Brookline Driving School 100% responsible for this. We are cutting our losses and heeding our neighbors' recommendation to try Waltham Driving School instead. Save your time, your money, and your sanity--go somewhere else. This school is unorganized and employs instructors who are not aligned, with at least one who lacks the basic demeanor required to teach.

I'm not trying to criticize his technique as a whole, but I do want others to have a clear sense of what to expect. Booking a session was quick and easy, and I was able to get an appointment the very next day, which I really appreciated. I understand that driving instructors sometimes need to be curt and direct for safety reasons. However, I think the type of feedback also needs to match the situation and the student's experience level. For me, the lesson felt like an hour of being yelled at. I was constantly aware that I was doing something wrong, but not always what I had done wrong or how to fix it. My impression was that Lucien overestimated my prior driving experience. This could likely have been resolved by taking a few moments to pause, talk through what we were about to do, and ask whether I had done it before. When I asked questions, Lucien was willing to demonstrate, but many of his instructions weren't clear to me, and his tone made me feel as though I was being scolded, even if that wasn't his intention. If I made the same mistake multiple times, that suggested I didn't understand something, not that I wasn't trying. Instead, he seemed frustrated that I didn't get it immediately and would tell me I was doing it wrong without giving concrete, descriptive feedback about how to correct it. For example, when I was practicing turning, he would yell that I was doing it wrong and grab the wheel, which didn't help me understand what I needed to change. It would have been far more helpful to pull over, explain the steps clearly, and then practice on a quiet street where I could try again safely and independently. There were also times when I misunderstood his instructions (for instance, going into the leftmost lane instead of going to the leftmost lane that eventually turns right). His immediate response was to yell that I hadn't listened, rather than clarify what I had misunderstood. This approach felt infantilizing and made me upset and distracted, which wasn't conducive to learning. Pedagogically, it also didn't make much sense to me. I wasn't paying $70 an hour to ignore instructions; if I wasn't following them correctly, it meant something about the instructions wasn't clear. A more helpful response would have been to ask what part I had misunderstood and adjust the explanation so I could succeed next time. Overall, Lucien may be a good fit for students who thrive under very direct and high-pressure instruction, are very good at articulating the specific skills that they already have and are hoping to gain, and are better at interpreting his feedback. For others, his style may be stressful and difficult to learn from.

They picked up at school and dropped off at home. We also signed up for the sponsor to go with her for her license road test. Would go through them again for my other child when he is going to start the process of driving. A++++

Maxim was incredibly helpful--he explained everything clearly, showed me where and how I should behave on the road, and answered all of my questions. The platform they use is very convenient--it shows exactly when and at what time your lessons are scheduled. You can choose from different packages and lesson plans, and there are reminders sent 2-3 times before each lesson, which is super helpful. After completing the first 10 lessons, I took my driving test but unfortunately didn't pass because I made the same mistake I had been making during the lessons. I then decided to take another 10 lessons, and after just 8 lessons, I went for my test again--and this time, I passed with flying colors, making no mistakes at all! I now feel much more confident behind the wheel. I'm really grateful to Maxim for helping me learn how to drive and, more importantly, for eliminating my fear of driving. I now have a strong desire to drive and gain more experience on the road! I'm even planning to take a highway lesson to further build my skills and confidence. I highly recommend Ashland Driving School! You won't regret it--you'll love it!

But since…read moreit's been so long ago, and I wasn't really ready to drive in a manual in the real world and I was always dreaming of getting a manual transmission car. I was nervous, went out for test driving several manual cars, got embarrassed how bad my manual driving skill was, stalled the test drive car 2 times, and I decided to take some serious training to fresh up my memories and also learn some new useful skills of driving a manual. George is welcoming and very helpful. What he taught me, the 'pushing the clutch in a bit' technique with coordination of the gas pedal, is extremely useful. Instead of 'only let the clutch off slowly' to launch, I launched way more efficiently than I did when I was getting my license. So far I've already got 3 lessons in total. I'm gonna get the full 6 courses in the next following weeks. George told me that the clutch of STI is pretty stiff, so if you can drive the STI well that probably means you can drive any other manual cars even more comfortably. I can tell George truly cares about his students and I recommend this to anyone that wants to learn how to drive a manual transmission.

And no one showed up on the site for the classes well past 8. Such a terrible experience. I hope no one goes through this ordeal.
