This company runs the machines in my apartment complex. I have repeatedly had my clothes get stuck in the washers, losing not only the money for that load, but also an entirely new load as it would be hours/days before my clothes would be freed. We were promised cards with our lost credit multiple times. No cards ever came. We are now approaching 30 dollars lost due to this company's ineptitude. Escalating the call does nothing. 0 stars. Incompetent maintenance team. Machine had the same disrepair FIVE times in two weeks. Machine did not start wash cycle, but instead ran water over clothes (on a 23 minutes cycle) for an HOUR, did not spin, and left clothes soaking wet. Water leaking out of machine onto floor. After clothes were removed, barrel was still flooded with 2 inches of water, and electronic display showed "E FL." The technician on the second repair reported 'no error found.' Second disrepair took 3 days to fix; this left the soap drawer moldy, which the tech did not bother to clean. The technician on the 4th repair left a note saying 'fixed' as of 5/21. Today 5/22, the same error occurred. At least 4 different tenants have experienced this, and I have experienced it twice. Machine 299-BLT. Very poor customer service. Automated phones only; must file reports online. No place to submit pictures. Our building management has its hands tied; the machine is broken again, and all we can do is wait another 3 days for them to come fix the machine. My clothes were ruined because a resident must've put a tube of lipstick in the dryer. I should've filed a claim. Or hammer out an agreement with the apartment manager/company that unless they actually clean the machines on a regular basis (using a checklist - like vacuuming out lint!) ... that service calls will be expensive... or something. I own a convenience store and CSC has an air machine at my location for my customers to use. The air machine is always broken and it takes forever to get CSC technicians to fix it. When I call CSC for support, I'm on hold for a long time, CSC is still blaming COVID for their long hold times. I went to my management for a new card and they gave me a replacement that didn't work. So I called CSC directly and they sent me out a card that didn't work with the washer/card refiller. I have sent several emails and inquiries and received nothing in return. Now I must do laundry outside which is very inconvenient. CSC's complete lack of customer services is putting our co-op at risk of a $10,000 fine. Our small co-op had a gas line inspection in accordance with Local Law 152 over 7 months ago. The only outstanding item from our inspection is the need for CSC's flexible gas line to our dryer to be converted to a hard line. Our board has contacted CSC about this numerous times. The company has confirmed they are responsible for correcting this, but we have yet to be able to make contact with the appropriate person who will perform this work. We now have only 2 months remaining before becoming liable for a $10K fine if this is not corrected. Our building manager has in fact confirmed that it will be CSC, not our co-op, who will be responsible for this fine since it is their installation that does not meet code, but even knowing this CSC is not working with us to fix the problem. I am posting here only because I see a CSC employee responding to reviews here. Perhaps we will have better luck contacting an actual person who can help us resolve this here? read more

A followup based on the response from my initial review. I've never been able to contact a person in less than 10 minutes. This involves multiple tries over the past year. Either their record-keeping system is producing faulty reports, or they are simply not being honest on Yelp -- "less than a minute" is not credible, since it takes over 30 seconds just to get to the key prompt. I challenge anyone to post a video of them getting to a human in less than a minute. Interesting that the person who replied did not address any of the other issues, such as their incomplete database, which makes it impossible to report broken devices electronically, or the incredibly long waits to get a machine serviced once a request is actually put in. Yelp has all one-star reviews (plus one very negative 2-star review) for this company. And they have a one-star average with the BBB, as well as 141 complaints in the past year. A principle owner of this company is a Canadian teacher's fund, and I noticed that last year there were reports that CSC was looking for a buyer. I wonder if the pension managers for those teachers have come to realize that this company's management is completely inept -- something their customers realized years ago. read more

Absolutely the WORST company to have to deal with. % years of complaints about the machines at our location and it never gets fixed. That might be because we have the equivalent of homeowner machines that have had coin boxes attached to them and they get used like commercial ones. And they probably wonder why the machines here are constantly not working. It will cost me twice as much to go to a local landromat to do my laundry - not to mention the PIA factor - but in the long run it will save me money from having to wash twice cause the machine didnt fill with water, or just never even started, or leaked out all the water, never put water in or shredded my laundry. I live in a co-op complex. Majority of tenants do laundry over the weekend. Their insert bill machine out of service, I added value to the card from their website of course the code is not working/customer service cannot help on weekends only on weekdays. Horrible unreliable Customer service, the APP does not work and website can't help. I wish I can add no stars instead on 1. Obviously this CSC service can't do technology. They left a note in our building saying they would update the washing machines to take debit cards on 12/15/20 and the day came and went, no update, no NEW note saying they wont make it, nothing. The reload machines in the area are ALWAYS broken, they are either completely turned off, missing a card reader, or missing the money feeder. Its the biggest inconvenience ever. Shame on my apartment complex for even working with these fools. I am a Resident Adviser that lives in a dorm with 600 other residents. We have 16 dryers and 16 washers. The first couple of weeks of school the majority of our dryers, 14 total, would not work. All of my residents were complaining about not being able to dry anything. Some people started air-drying their clothes in their dorm rooms. People were tossing each other's clothes on the laundry room floor just to get the 2 dryers that were working. Those who had access to a car were taking their clothes elsewhere to clean. Many people here are college students and don't have a car on campus. They were stuck with the laundry room that barely functioned and had to hope and pray no one else took the dryers that worked. I need to clarify that I have been a Resident Adviser for 2 years going on 3 years. My freshman (not an RA that year), sophomore, and junior year I was in a regular dorm on campus. It was not considered the nicest, in fact, many people called it Krusty Kreischer because it was the oldest building on campus. However, when there was an issue, it was addressed within 3 days. The building I live in senior year is the nicest dorm on campus. The two nicest dorms on campus are built by a company called Capstone. Since another party built the building, the procedures are different. Instead of noting issues directly with the University's maintenance staff, Capstone buildings had work orders go to 3rd party companies. Issues with the laundry room or elevator were not dealt with by the University. This is where CSC Serviceworks comes in. Resident Advisers filled out multiple forms complaining about the dryers. I had to call CSC Serviceworks multiple times over the course of 1 month just for the machines to get fixed. Eventually, they came, but 600 residents had to share 2 working dryers for an entire month. I'm not angry at the call center people. They are probably yelled at all day because CSC doesn't respond to complaints. The person I talked to said that they put my dorm on a priority list because of the number of dryers with issues. This was done on the first call. I was told that someone from CSC would come and repair the machines within a week. A week passed and I was checking on my residents and the problem still persisted. I called again. I was told that CSC was backed up at the moment and was having issues with Covid. Fair enough, it would take a little longer to get the dryers fixed. I was given an estimate of two weeks before the machines would be repaired. Two weeks passed and the dryers were not fixed. I call again. I was not angry, but disappointed. I told the CSC call service that I was disappointed in the company. I myself, my fellow Resident Advisers, and residents were living in a building of 600 people with 2 dryers. Finally, someone came within a week of the 3rd call, but it took so long that I wasn't even happy, or content. I just felt disappointed like a parent seeing a child get an F on a report card because it was a month-long problem. CSC Service works is the only company I would say deserves a Karen yelling and shouting at them. read more

CSC has laundry services in my apartment complex. I use the word services lightly. I have yet been able to complete my laundry because either their machines malfunction or their app does. Each time (4 different laundry days) I end up loading wet clothes into my car and finishing at a local laundry mat. Each time I have placed services requests on the malfunctioning machines. The dryers in my building still have nit been fixed and the mach8nes in the other 2 buildings have been malfunctioning for weeks now. Their app is horrible, their service on the machines is even worse. If you are a business looking to use them...don't....you will only frustrate your end users and make them question your business decisions. If you are a tenant in a building that uses their services, save yourself the frustration and just do your laundry at a local laundry mat. The Yelp rating for CSC, as well as their BBB rating of C-, speaks for itself already. But when so many people are disappointed and angry about a business like CSC, or feel powerless about how to effect change against a business that is so clearly failing, we feel no other option is available but to leave reviews so that other people might avoid making the same mistake of choosing CSC as their laundry provider. The HOA of our condo complex has a lease agreement with CSC for the laundry machines in three buildings. About half of the machines are almost always out of order. There are scannable barcodes on each machine so that users can report problems using a phone app. CSC sends automated email responses to these repair requests. But all of these responses which say the machine has been fixed, are absolutely lying. Nobody has visited the property to do a repair, and yet a "Certified Technician" has reported that the issue is resolved and fixed. The most frustrating part of this situation, is when the machine has stopped working because CSC needs to collect the coins. Several of our machines are out of order for this reason. Which means CSC can't be bothered to come and get their own money, and as a result, most of us can't do laundry where we live. If you are trying to make a decision about which laundry provided to use, I strongly advise you to avoid CSC. They may have been in business for 70+ years, but clearly they haven't been successful at learning how to run a business with honesty or integrity, because we are being lied to repeatedly. Next steps are to research whether any legal action can be taken by the HOA to terminate our lease with CSC due to their breach of the terms. read more

A CSC Service rep would claim that a technician went and fix a machine, when obviously nothing happened. Not sure if their "technicians" are slacking or orders are sent out. The other 5 machines never work and the tech will come and leave without notification and they still do not work. I live in a apartment building in Painesville, Ohio and the washing machine has been down for 10 days. People are wanting to wash their clothes including me. The coins need to be emptied out of the machine for it to work and so far no one has come. A man came here more than a week ago and just jiggled the coins around a little bit saying the machine would work about 5 to 6 more times but it did not. Unless you enjoy sobbing in the laundry room out of frustration every single time you need to do laundry, avoid using this company at all costs. Without fail, they take my money and then the machines won't start. The app takes forever to load anything when it does work. What should take me 3 minutes to start a load of laundry takes about an hour and a half. Huge waste of time, my money gets taken, and my laundry doesn't get done. Me and every other resident in my building have put in service requests over and over again, and nothing ever gets done, they just say it's "fixed." I then got an email that said the request had been created, and about 30 seconds later an email saying that the issue had been resolved and a maintenance person had been to the property. Price to use machines has gone up by $0.20 in 2 years without any new machines available or maintenance being done on the existing ones. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND You would be better off going to a laundry facility to get your clothes clean and dry.
