They used to be a great dry cleaners when the older gentleman owned it, then his nephew bought it and it's been downhill ever since. They got rid of the alteration dressing room to rent out half the building to some storage company. Now you cannot pick up your clothes there because they owe back rent and have shut down. Love this cleaners spot! They have great prices, get stuff done in a timely fashion, and are very friendly! My husband and I used to use one on Covert Ave but their prices were getting so ridiculously expensive. We noticed a huge difference in price at this location and have been coming here ever since. My husband has brought multiple suits here to be hemmed and fitted to him, and they have always done a great job. Recently we brought a large comforter to be dry-cleaned as well as sewn in a few corners that were ripping. It looked good as new! The dry cleaner remains closed to this date. I drive by almost every other day in hopes to get my winter coats out (3 total of both mine & my husband's), but there is no signs of life. When looking in, it looks as if clothes and racks are still inside, but the space looks abandoned and there is never anyone in side. The phone number is disconnected (516.352.7976). I can not find any news or update about the status of the store and am growing more and more concerned, as time passes, that my 3 winter wool coats are gone forever. read more

The tailor here is a wonderful magician. About a month ago, I brought in a bridesmaid dress that basically did not fit me in any way. Last week, I walked down the aisle in a gown that fit me perfectly all thanks to her! She had to do a tremendous amount of work on the gown: the bottom was way too tight, and she opened it up and rebuilt it with new fabric, and the top was too large, and she pulled it in so that I felt comfortable and stylish. The work was polished and sturdy, and I will certainly return for future tailoring needs! read more

Absolutely pleased! I just bought a brand new jacket and while on a night out, someone stumbled into me thus slipping practically their entire drink on it. Brought it into this place the very next day (Sunday), and the owner had it for me in a couple hours. Don't go here he ruined 4 of my uniform shirts and told me it was impossible that it could happen. They all had the same rust stains on them all over and when I went back to complain he told me ask anyone they would laugh at me. The funny part is two of the shirts were brand new I had taken them out of the wrapper and sent them in so they would look presentable when I wore them to work. If anything happens to your clothes he will blame you like he did me and a few other people that I have seen complain about problems they have had there! Bottom line anything goes wrong with your clothes your out of luck! Unfortunately you have to give at least one star on the rating he truly deserves zero! read more

I used to frequent this place regularly when it was ran by the lovely Hispanic couple, however, since they left the service has taken a huge hit. Laundered shirts used to consist of button downs but last time I went they refused to launder my button down and force only dry clean which was more than other nearby dry cleaners. I believe it's gotten to the point where they're quality has pummeled and their increased prices has turned away customer so much that they closed down half the store. My husband brought his sports jacket and a pair of pants to be tailored and cleaned - he paid $26 dollars. He picked the items up and went to wear them to find that they DID not do the tailoring, He, had to wear the jacket as is, he brought the items back and the owner said no problem it would be a re-do at no charge and was not given a new ticket. I went to pick the jacket and pants up and they could not find them as I had no ticket - they remembered my husband bringing them in tho. They said to wait that the owner would be back soon. So I waited - he did come soon and said he remembered it - however the items were not on the premise, he had given them to someone who did not work directly in the shop and had to try and remember their name and phone #. Upon getting their # he told me they would be in the shop at around 5 pm. He did call to let me know they were there & he did offer to deliver them to our home I opted to pick them up. When I got to the shop I discovered they had sewn the pocket shut, as my husband wear's a badge that goes in the pocket I knew this was not right, so I called him and put him on speaker phone & we were shocked that they said that it was a false pocket and they did not sew it shut (he never could have worn his badges then). Leaving us to both being liars. The reason for having the pocket tailored was that the badge's had ripped the pocket - so no false pocket on the sports jacket. And yes the owner sided with its out sourced worker (why else would the items not be on the premises). So much for customer service & the customer is always right. read more
