I try to donate blood as often as possible. From the age of 18 until just after Hurricane Katrina…read moreI had donated through the Red Cross, but then I read a news story about how the Red Cross ending up throwing away a lot of blood because they "had too much". This is how I came acorss Lifeshare. They are local blood services company that only services the NEO area. The staff is extremely friendly, and make the process of donation very quick, easy, and as painless as possible. You can set up appointments at their permanent donation sites, or see where they are having a blood drive. They can handle whole blood donations, plasma, and also double red blood cell donations - which I suggest if you've got one of the rarer blood types.

There is nothing wrong with my blood, I just produce too much. So the blood draw is to keep me from having a heart attack or stroke. My doctor called over to see if they could do it at their facility.....the response "sure we do it all the time". I called to make sure a day before I was going. I took a day off work. (because their hours are during the work day). I go in register and they tell me that yes they can do it, but it costs $50.00. I sigh and hand the woman checking me in, my debit card. She says "Oh no, it has to be cash." So I leave and (very annoyed) since nowhere in any of the previous conversations was any form of payment mentioned. I come back with the $50.00 in cash. Now we have a problem with the prescription. The office manager states that she didn't like the wording, I have to get a new one. I go back to my doctor get a new prescription. Now I get my blood drawn. The woman hands me the prescription and says bring this back with you next time. Fast forward to yesterday; I call ahead of time to make sure they can fit me in, the woman on the other end says sure, "when are you coming" and gets my info. I tell her thirty minutes and she says ok see you then. 5 minutes later, another woman calls and states my prescription is no good and I have to get another. I said, why was I given this back and told to bring it next time? She says coldly "I don't know" and nothing else but she will call my doctor and see what can be done. She calls back and states my doctor is not in and I won't be able to get my blood drawn today. Now I stated this is a chronic condition and my doctor wrote the prescription for "Therapeutic" blood draw. This will be remedied but I lose a day off work and if I had been there to give blood they can use ....... you betcha they would have taken it without hesitation to sell it to the hospital. Just very rude and DON"T CARE!

The staff is top-tier, the snacks are abundant and varied (I stock up and fill my purse!), there is plenty of seating, comfy chairs, and of course, every platelet chair is hooked up so you can watch Netflix while you sit still and help save lives! Before I had to switch jobs last November and now no longer work in a hybrid role, I was here at least once a month. The staff all know me by name and after coming back after a 6 month absence, I was welcomed back with open arms!! Love it here!

Located on the near East…read moreside of Cleveland they do a fantastic job of making the donation process as easy as possible. You can find the donation times online for blood, platelets and plasma. Once you are signed up they will send you reminders and the day of the donation you can do the Rapid Pass to save you time when you come in. Located on Euclid Ave. you get buzzed into the parking area, sign in to the building and then go to the donation area. The check in process is well run and efficient. Since they limit the number of appointments at a time there is no waiting around like you may encounter at some of the blood drives. The plasma donation works by taking your whole blood and then returning the platelets to you, so it takes about 1 hour from start to finish. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They take very good care of you and make sure that you are OK throughout the whole process. After you finish there is a nicely stocked snack area to get some sweets and beverages. Red Cross also offers some bonuses such as T-shirts, hats and gift cards at various times during the year. If you are looking for a great way to help others consider making regular Red Cross Blood, Platelets or Plasma donations. It is a great way to give of yourself.

I started coming due to posture issues and back pain. My initial exam we discovered a lot of small things that need to be adjusted to become better. I started coming every week for my adjustments after that and I saw a difference almost instantly. My overall wellness and energy just felt better. I was additionally led to believe that the practice focuses on the nervous system as Chiropractors. My diagnosis from Dr. Blackwell of Cleveland Clinic provided a diagnoses of Piriformis Syndrome (rightG57.01) - Acute Right side. Prior to the second visit I was led to believe there would be an adjustment within this office, that did not occur as I was referred to another Chiropractor that "she does a lot of business with" and I have a witness. She was additionally pushing for an MRI for self pay that I would have to sign up for. These remarks of an MRI were disturbing as I do not have health insurance until July. I, again brought my support system, whom is my partner/boyfriend to this second appointment today 06/09/2026. I was disrespected as she directed much of her attention and explanations to him rather than to me. Her actions were inappropriate, as I expected information regarding MY health treatment to be communicated DIRECTLY to me. This experience left me unheard, disregarded and fully dissatisfied with the care I received. While I understand I signed an ROI, that not does mean that the doctor should direct all of the care, while face-to-face, with the concerned patient, treatment as well as further follow up to my partner/boyfriend as I am very well equipped, intellectually to comprehend the diagnoses. With all of the above being stated, this entire experience was absolutely insulting, full of disappointment and a hinder toward encouraging positive healing, health and well-being.
