To whom it may concern, I would describe my experience at the MIRAMAR center as SCARY. This is the same word that two employees used to insult me while I sat in one of the screening rooms waiting. Turns out, I'm not that person who will just sit there and accept to being assisted by someone with ZERO etiquette who is having a bad day. Yes, I was insulted after politely requesting to be assisted by someone else, given her attitude. Management, I understand that the company does all they can do to save a penny here and there, and to make a center profitable, but at what cost? CSL Miramar should educate staff to understand that Volunteers are essential for the center and if any staff member is having a bad day, communicate to superiors and have someone else fill in for them. Or, in the best case scenario, if they are blessed not to need a job, possibly renounce and leave the position for someone else more qualified. Also, I kindly suggest that staff in the center who are on duty, should carry some visible identification on them when entering the rooms to assist any volunteers. I went to my interview at CSL Plasma on 03/11/26 located at 850 Ives Dairy Rd, Miami, FL 33179 I was scheduled for 11am I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in at the front desk, and informed them that I was there for an interview with (manager's name) An employee asked what I was there for, and after I explained that I had an interview scheduled, I overheard the same employee yelling "Español" because I am Hispanic. This made me feel very uncomfortable and gave me the impression that I was already being stereotyped. Shortly after, she came back and told me that the position had already been filled by internal candidates. If that was the case, I don't understand why I was asked to come in for an interview in the first place. Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and disappointing. I was genuinely interested in working with CSL Plasma and expected a more respectful and organized hiring process. In my opinion, if this is the way they treat candidates at this location, I really don't want to see how they treat donors. Find another place! read more

MERRY FREAKING CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR..... as for the most part your over all staff is ok - good , but there is one who sticks out over all whether you have him stuck working in a tiny closet like a troll monster working on the machines or sticking people on the floor..... This guy no matter how good or bad of a day he's having he always has a positive attitude and a smile on his face and his name is FABIO..!!!! I don't understand what's going on at this center. The screening part now has only one person, they also have to do screening, answering the phone and or helping donors that have questions etc. while this is happening the screener has a donor in front of them. It's not fair that the donor that is already in the booth has to wait for the screener to do all of these other things. The same thing when you get to the back to donate. The wait time is way to long for both sections. Especially waiting to get to the back to donate. Some of the employees are doing their jobs but it's a lot on one person. People are wrap around the corner waiting to donate, and this is early in the morning when the center opens. mid day the waiting is ridiculous Right now it's not a good place to donate. read more

God knows How I kept going to CSL plasma in Miramar I figured they would humanize I even decided I would give the lady with the gray hair an opportunity to take my plasma I was under the impression that she know how to inject and that she did with no problem until yesterday when they decided they didn't want to see me anymore no there like the fact that the machine goes off. My experience at the plasma center wasn't great. I arrived two hours before closing as their website suggests and when I called they said so long as you're here an hour before it's not an issue. I watch the video, spoke to the nurse, and then when we went back to Where the phlebotomist was, the phlebotomist was annoyed with the guy that walked me back there because she thought it was too late and wanted to go home. She proceeded to check my veins to see whether she can draw blood, she put the band on me so loosely that I honestly didn't feel it. I stated as much, and then told me oh sorry you're not eligible, can't find a vein, try again in a week. I was very upset. Very unprofessional. Waste of two hours of my time. read more

This CSL location rarely ever has a line. The employees are friendly and always seem to be joking around with each other, which shows there's a good team synergy. At the same time they're very professional and use every sanitation precaution necessary for a nice sterile, clean environment. They disinfect seats and place signs on the ones that have been recently disinfected/ safe for a new donor to sit down. Currently, the staff all wear masks as well as face shields and gloves. Masks are also required for donors. Hand sanitizer and alcohol pads are also readily accessible. Your first visit to CSL will most likely be your longest (approx 2 hours). You will be required to watch a brief video, fill out a long questionnaire and give your consent. They will then take your vitals (temperature, weight, blood pressure, finger prick for protein & iron levels) to ensure you qualify before you're allowed to actually donate. You're not donating whole blood, so your blood type DOES NOT MATTER. You are only giving plasma. It's actually fascinating to watch as the machine withdraws your whole blood, spins it to separate the plasma and "spits out" your pure plasma into a container. The machine then returns the rest of your blood back to you (red blood cells, platelets etc). At the end of your session, the last step is to replenish your electrolytes with an IV of a very chilly 70°F saline solution. I have never felt whoozy or lightheaded after donating plasma. But I have definitely felt cold! So pro-tip if you run cold like I do: BRING A BLANKET! (and a book or earphones/AirPods as you can listen to music or watch a movie on your smart device while you donate). They even have FREE WIFI! You will receive compensation based on the amount of plasma you donate. And your donation amount is determined by weight scale (i.e. the more you weigh, the more plasma you have to give). Each location has a different pricing scale. You can donate up to twice in a 7 day period and you are even allowed to donate at ANY CSL location in the US! I've donated in both FL and TX. Reasons to give your plasma: 1. Plasma helps burn victims. 3. Plasma helps adults & children with certain types of cancers. 4. Plasma helps people with liver or clotting factor disorders. 5. I was done with my donation and was left with a needle in my arm for 15 minutes longer than I had to be because the staff member Katiana chose to overlook me and continue on with conversation with another donor I stated that I was done and she didn't hesitate to turn around because she was engaged in her conversation. I arrived at the last minute to donate plasma as other donors have done in the past. The employee locked the door just as I was approaching the entrance. I called the location to ask them to open the door as they technically still haven't closed at the time and I could see the employee walking away from the door. They did not answer nor open the door and I saw the last donor approaching the line to sign in. Of course I'm not Hispanic nor white but African American. The last time I was here they kicked a guy out for being upset just last week, he was also African American. Not sure if they followed through with the office worker and woman employee threatening to call the police on someone who says they are getting their life back together from being in institutions, prison, or jail. read more
