I was walking down the street in Brickell when I passed the Blood Mobile and the woman asked me if I wanted to give blood. I asked her if they had something to eat because I hadn't had anything to eat and it was almost noon. She said she did. I go inside and there is no juice or cookies, nothing with any kind of sugar in it. I'm lying there giving blood and after she switches me out, she asked me if I wanted something to drink. I said yes because I am concerned about my sugar level. I asked for orange juice. She said she only had orange soda or regular Coke. The orange soda she gave me had caffeine in it so I only drank half. If I am giving blood which they are likely selling, the least they can do is provide some Oreo cookies or orange juice. When I was giving blood at the Red Cross, they had cookies, donuts, all kinds of juice AND soda. I won't donate blood to them again. read more

Beware - i meet 2 technicans at Walmart in ft myers and they were ready to insert the needle- even though i told (showed) them that i "just got a huge tatoo" I asked are you sure i dont have to wait to give blood after a tatoo - they said no!! As they were preparing their supplies i googled and showed them both "you MUST wait 12 months" after a tatoo! I guess the two that I met had no training - hopefully I save someone's life today read more

Perfect place for give blood and also they pay you 25 dollars, if you go at 7 am you receive 35 dollars. The place are very clean, the needle is super clean and all brand new. The staff are very professional and helpful read more

Got stopped at almost 9 pm in a Walmart parting lot being asked if I wanted to donate blood to kids with cancer from a person who just popped up through the cars. I'm sorry but that's just creepy, i had a really weird feeling about this so i went on google to find out more about them and.. Turns out they are a for profit company who SELLS blood and the reviews of people that actually did end up donating we're just strange. It's possible they could of actually been getting donations for kids with cancer but walking up to people at night with no script on what to say isn't really the best way to present your company as trustworthy. read more

No gift card or anything offered to donate either(even though their website says they do) Below is an email I sent this company 4days ago.(yet to hear a response, sent to all 4 contacts listed on their website) It was extremely unsanitary and as a medical professional this is not how I would want my field represented. The women doing the prep was not washing her hands or changing her gloves between patients. I had to stop and tell her to do so before she touched me. They also were not sanitizing the bus benches between patients( just like a doctors office does between patients). I even watched them grab drinks out the cooler for people with dirty gloves on. Plus they were not in any way taking steps to help prevent the spread of covid. They were packing people in on that bus. Had I not already been in the middle of donating I would have walked out when about 7 people were let on the bus with all donating benches full plus the nurses and no mask on the new people getting on the bus. Nurses were very friendly but, will not be going back nor would I recomend do to lack of cleanliness. I just donated blood on one of your busses and where as the women on the bus were extremely nice and very sweet, the  conditions were not the cleanest.  First off there were 4 nurses, 2 kids, 1 person in a chair, a man sitting next to me and a woman being checked in. Then they had another women come in while we were all sitting there. They were not making masks a requirement because the man sitting next to me was not wearing one. When I sat to donate the women putting in the needle was not sanitizing her hands or changing gloves between patients (I work in the medical field this is an absolute must). I kindly asked her to do so before working on me and she did but, didn't after that until another women noticed and also asked. At this point I am also noticing they are not sanitizing the benches between patients, meaning I am realizing I am sitting on a dirty area. With covid this should most definitely be getting done and is no different then sanitizing doctors rooms between patients, which is a normal practice even before covid. I am also, seeing that they now have a full bus every bench and every seat filled with only a few people wearing mask. I am quite disappointed in the entire process and feel this makes the medical field look bad when such carelessness is happening, especially during a pandemic! I went back to my car and literally sprayed sanitizer on myself from head to toe. Again, the women were all very nice working on the bus, I am just very disappointed in the sanitization of the bus and it will prevent me from donating with you in the future. Liar and UNPROFESIONNAL. AVOID AT ALL COST!! At the beginning, in the front of the bus, it is a pretty good speech. They tell you that they collect blood to save children. I asked more and they told me that they do not sell the blood for profit in that particular case... It is a LIE ! Then a 'nurse' take your blood... to be short, medieval style! It was painful and the nurse was unprofessional. On the phone, no gloves, chewing a gum with her mouth open. When I asked a question because I was concerned, she could not answer me. Because the 'nurse' doesn't speak English. Unbelievable! After the donation, I had a huge yellow/dark bruise. It has been more than a month and I still have a small scar...thank to the butcher that took care of me! Never happen before. Again, AVOID AT ALL COST!! Please beware! I was approached at Walmart Super Center yesterday 11/04/2020 @6:30PM, by a worker from American blood bank she told me that they were collecting blood for children with cancer and then if I was willing to donate blood that it would take about seven minutes and before they did the blood withdrawal that they were going to do a Covid test to see if I had antibodies from Covid. They tell you that you're doing your civic duty by donating blood to help children with cancer. They told me that they'll take my results from my blood donation and tell me my cholesterol and they do other exams. And that they will call in seven days to let you know what your results are. So you think that you're going to get results back from your blood. The lady also told us that the gentleman inside was a doctor, and that he would discuss the procedures with us. So I went in and spoke with this gentleman who supposedly was a Doctor and he asked questions. Then he did a finger prick and Put it on the small dish and put some drops to see if we have any covid antibodies. They take your ID and information and phone number. the lady outside told us that we would get results from the blood work in Seven days. She told me this three times. So then after that another lady comes and gets you and told you to lay down and I had some questions and every time I answer her she wouldn't answer. and she kept telling me to lay down on the chair so I asked her how much blood they were going to take and she showed me the bag and said it would take about four minutes. I donating blood, believing that this is for children with cancer and that I would also get test results from the blood. At the end they offer you Coke and water. And That you could leave. I asked her again about the blood results from cholesterol and other test that the lady outside told us that we would get it and she says; "No we only call you if there's an issue with your blood. " And if you don't hear anything then there's nothing wrong. So I was upset and I'm walking out of the trailer and I go find the first lady that talked to me and I said hey you said that we were gonna test results from cholesterol levels and other test and now they're telling me inside but that's not true. And the lady outside said no you only call if there's something wrong so she lied to us about the test results that you get when you donate blood. And to make matters worse; I asked the first lady who lied to us about the test results from my donated blood and asked her if that was really a doctor? Then she said yes- with another employee next to her, and then she says no he's a technician and I said but you told me he was a doctor I said to her and then she said yes he is a doctor... I told her but you told me that he was! She immediately said; no he's a technician certified at what he does. So she's lying about him being a doctor! What worries me the most- I wonder if these are actual phlebotomist that draw your blood and why they told people that there's a doctor inside of that bus to make you think that you're doing something safe. It makes me wonder when she said that they were donating blood for children with cancer and that he was a physician and our test results that we would not get! The lady who draws your blood told me as we were leaving that they only contact you if they find an issue with your blood. So you don't get results for cholesterol and other blood related tests. As she specified. So I worry and why are these people lying and they're lying to people to get them inside this bus to donate blood and are they really giving this blood to children with cancer as they tell you! I notified the police about what happened! He went to the location to investigate. And will be speaking to my attorney tomorrow. I will ray that they use clean needles and practice safety. I should not of donated blood! I am nervous and concerned now! read more
