I have had a total of 3 plasma donation experiences in my life..first two were are BioLife and I can say that in comparison CSL is far superior in both service and care. I donated there for the first time yesterday and all went well. It took about 3 hours for first time processing, and hopefully it will always be this efficient and helpful. They even called me this morning to make sure I was feeling okay and if I had any questions. They pay more, and the techs seem to be better trained. read more

Depending on who you get it can be a nice experience. My first couple months of going here was fine but then I began having problems with getting stuck. I've never had issues with blood draws or anything in other medical environments but here then there were issues with the blood flow and after it happened once and I got a huge bruise I wasn't able to come back for a month. Then i tried again and after two more I attempts I gave up. Some workers were nice but there were a couple that always seemed unhappy. It's a crap shoot experience. read more

Can't really recall having a more pleasant day here! I needed to re-register again after not donating for a year, so I tried to re-register at the facility on Ina. Unfortunately, I had arrived at the Ina location at 2pm and they told me they do not accept new registers after 2pm, so I called the Butterfield location and I believe Desiree had told me that they accepted new registers all the way up until closing, so I came here instead. I showed up and the Facility had greatly improved it's efficiency since I had last donated here! I got through the whole process in 2 hours! It was my first time back after six months so I had to basically restart, the papers, the videos, etc. After i had finished those I was waiting for ~30 mins and told I was going to be next. Multiple people kept getting taken back before me and the line is starting to fill up the whole lobby. After an hour of waiting and still not being helped I got up and left, i'm pissed. I have been coming to CSL since becoming disillusioned with BioLife and the shady practices there. CSL is a lot better. There will still be days you wait, but I have yet to wait more than 15 minutes, and they are very good at inserting the needle so you don't get a bruise or pain. I have always had a good experience here, and they pay you more than BioLife does with half the BS. It's definitely a win in my book! You can also complete the donor questionnaire on your phone prior to going in to save time. It's way better than BioLife. read more

Been doing plasma donations for some time now and find the a few extra bucks and helping people who need the specialized medicine made from plasma somewhat gratifying. Ok needles and blood can be disturbing yes, but think about using the money to eat at a local small business restaurant and help them out too. It takes about an hour total for the whole process and very little to prepare other than a healthy diet and plenty of water. This location is easy to get to and usually not too busy. I've never had any ill effects from the donations maybe just a tiny bit of fatigue. So if this sounds like something you're interested in, it does help people in need and get you a few bucks to boot and that aint bad. read more

Heather is so rude!!! I wrote a 3 page email to cooperate hopefully that will resolve this issue! I've never met anyone so mean in my life. She hates her job. She treats customer like we're a burden. She always has a rude remark to anything you say to her. She makes me not want to donate at this location anymore. She refused to check my vitals because I told her I didn't like the way she was talking to me made me get back in line and have someone else check. This is just one occurrence I had with her. CSL Plasma has a lot to be learn about fair exchange for the blood-giving community. I gave blood and got a Visa/Debit Card for payment. Went to use it, but it did not work ... came back much later to get my money, but the center in West Tucson would not give me the time of day. No mention of transaction fees or inactive fees anywhere in the advertisement or disclosures. Next day, went to the Butterfield Center and they gave me a replacement card. Went to Frys to get the cash against the card, but could not get any money because I did not know the balance on the card. I went to the website listed on the card to get balance ... it was zero. Sent back to Butterfield Center and they said I would have to contact the Visa Card Company ... I complained a more ... they finally call for me and the balance was confirmed as zero, they said there was a monthly inactive fee that eat up the entire balance on the card, approximately $85.00. I was so upset, I folded the cards in half in an attempt to destroy the cards and walked out ... never to give blood again. It is apparent that there is money being made due to the large staff and large office space ... they are cheap cheap cheap ... they are greedy ... only to pay a very small percentage of the grand profit they make from selling the blood to the hospitals and WE end up buying back the blood at an extremely inflated rate. Shame on CSL ... greedy bastards ... you lost a customer for life, from me. read more

My fiancé was donating plasma and the needle slipped out of the vein causing his red blood cells to be pumped back into his arm rather than his vein. The person working with him said that it was his fault and offered no information for signs he should look for as his arm is all swelled up with a hematoma. Him nor anyone else in my family will be coming back. This is a very big mistake to make and then to blame it on the person who is sitting there with their arm flat on a table and not provide any signs to watch for as the situation resolves is even worse. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I love coming to this place, but the wait is ridiculous! This place always gets packed around 3/3:30 and this has been going on for weeks and you guys still don't seem to staff enough for this time. The amount of vips tonight kept me waiting a long time. They had to stick me in both arms to get a vein, which my last 5 visits (I am a new donor) they had no problem. Then they came to fix because it wasn't deep enough. Then they came back again because was too deep. I hydrate and have never spent more than 35 minutes donating. Tonight the machine kept stopping, so I was there in the chair for an hour and 45 minutes. I asked them if it alerts them when the machine stops, they said yes, but they don't attend to it right away. I never even gave my full donation, because they said they had to "call it". I got there at 5:15 and finally left at 8:00. No one even apologized or offered me another machine. I am so disappointed. I don't if or when I will go back. I will not be recommending donating to anyone read more
