After your first donation, you are set up an account and then you can go online and schedule your blood appointment donation. You can get reminders for your appointments and it is just so easy! Sometimes when I forget to make an appointment, they give me a call and I appreciate the reminders. You can always walk in to give a donation or look for a nearby blood drive. I like that they also test your cholesterol with every blood donation. It's a good way to make sure everything is good with your own health. Sometimes people don't realize exactly how much need there is for blood donations. Every two seconds, someone needs blood, yet less than 10% of those eligible to give blood do it. One blood donation can save up to three peoples' lives! They also have cute donation campaigns where they partner up with other community organizations like the Tulsa Zoo and they give away tickets and such.

I have also donated blood twice. I started this journey in July 2025. They are all so thankful to have you there and will help keep you comfortable during the process. They care about their donors. The facility seems older, but is clean. After donation they always have a good variety of snacks and beverages waiting for you. The other fun thing is the American Red Cross gives little gifts to all donors. I recommend signing up for the app. It shows you your Mini health screening results gives you points to redeem for more prizes and even tells you where your blood has traveled! There is one guy who pulls his friends and lets them cut or he goes over to the counter to discuss boating and fishing with his buddies. It's already stressful getting thru the screening process. When you get to the back, you get to hear all the technician's problems and complaints about management, being lied to by management, staffing problems, etc. There is a lady and a guy who seem to be in charge but they would rather look important than to actually help their staff and make things run smoother and let their team sink. The guy in charge looks pretty cold like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. I do like the phlebotomist boss. He is probably the biggest asset they have. If you go to this place be prepared to stand, wait and be treated to a drama show. Jerry Soringer Show has nothing on this place.

A complete cattle-call. That's what it is. You're a cow lined up ready to be milked, except you will be stabbed with a needle twice and they're actually taking your BLOOD. When I went back the First Lady stuck me and missed after I told her she wouldn't find a good vain in that arm. I had to get a different lady to stick me in the CORRECT arm that said. After that I donated 800 ml of plasma when I started to feel bad and told me I was done. Comes to find out I didn't get a cent! This is beyond ridiculous! I would not recommend donating there. I did not feel comfortable when there. The nurses ignored me and was rude. Overall bad experience
