I thought I should also add this location on Yelp for future pool seekers. I can only review on the lap swimming pool since that was what we were there for. When we initially stopped by to gather more information, the girl at the desk didn't know much details about the swimming atmosphere. We returned a few days later and talked to one of the lifeguards there and she was able to give us more details about the hours, pricing, availability, and crowdedness. You enter the pool, and apparently the gym and rec center, through the locker rooms, which are separated for men and women, which is nice. The locker rooms are big enough to change and store your stuff. They also have lockers outside by the pool. The L-shaped pool is very large. It is divided so there are four lanes for lap swimming and a general area for other swimming purposes. Bleachers, a sunning area, and lounge chairs are available for spectators and guests. Plenty of seating area, which is nice. The pool is indoors, but one of the wall is "open" so it feels like an outdoor pool with concrete covering. Quite nice, actually. You have to call and ask for pricing since I believe it might be seasonal. Plenty of parking. The rec center itself is much larger than what we expected from the outside.

Their prices are very reasonable even if you are not a member but becoming a member is very inexpensive and totally worth it. My son enjoyed the summer day camp so much. It had great programs everyday that kept him so busy and they even gave him the courage to jump into the 4 feet at the pool and learn how to swim even better than he was before coming. When they had to discipline him, they were fair about it and respectful. I appreciated that very much especially since my son loves to get in trouble. ___ The gym aspect of the Highland YMCA is great too. Their Zumba classes are jam packed but so fun. The trainer kept the class moving and exciting. The schedule is full of group classes that I look forward to trying. They are going on all day and all night which is great for working people. Always friendly front desk staff that are ready to go above and beyond helping their guests!!!! I do love the Redlands Facility way more but living closer to the Highland one, I have grown to love them too.

Pretty much donated our $$$ to them for over 3 months. Didn't even get a Y T shirt or anything lol. We love the YMCA's as we have been members since we were kids in San Diego ca and Los Angeles Ca. Our kids are Y babies from Downey Ca. We really thought we'd be members for life but I'm just not sure if we're going to keep our membership. No complains about the gym itself. The girls in Kids Klub are great with the kids. However when i…read morebrought up an issue with Liz Roman/Member Services Manager about hand/foot/mouth going around in the Kids Klub, Liz responded arrogantly, dismissive, and offered no solution. I let it go hoping Liz would actually look into it. But after speaking with other moms i learned that Liz said that she cant do anythig about it and was still allowing kids with full blown blisters into Kids Klub​, which is crazy because if my kids have a cough or runny nose I am called to pick them up. Another mom and I tried talking to the General Manager about the situation in kids klub and about Liz attitude toward the situatuon. The next day Liz was pretty much bragging to other moms that General Manager cant do anything about it. It is very concerning and disappointing to see the type of person that has been entrusted by the company to oversee our kids safety and wellbeing who instead of offering reassurance is causing unnecessary drama and tension. I've had several encounters with her and none have been positive.

After 24h increased the rate on my monthly membership I spoke with Ratib and Chuk about switching over to the $500 for two years Platinum membership, and they were able to cancel my old plan and switch me over very quickly- effectively cutting my gym membership payment in half! :) They were so polite, efficient and helpful. I highly recommend this location. My only complaint is that the outer thigh machine has been broken for weeks, and since that's one of the most popular pieces of equipment and the only one, it's pretty disappointing that they can't repair equipment faster.
