I went one time a week ago.There were strange smells,clear but sticky water…read more For the 1st time in my life I have suffered severe burning and redenning of both eyes for 6 hrs duration after 1 hr swimming with runny nose.I'm a physician luckily and could manage and treat myself immediately with washing my eyes with continuous water and cold compresses for both eyes for 6 hrs. I'm a regular swimmer and it never happened to me before except some mild eye Irritationfrom chlorine. I'm pretty sure that they don't sanitize that pool or maintain it and just put chlorine which combines to sweat, urine and bacteria and creates further toxic compounds for the eyes,nose and skin. I dare that pool administration if there were any to take a sample from that pool and send it to lab. The pool is crowded and full of kids with swimming lessons and there is barely enough space to swim. If u have to go to that pool then u must wear swimming goggles to protect your eyes from the various toxic products that result from the insufficient cleaning and maintaining of the pool. Use a nose clipper if u had sensitive nose to protect the nasal mucosal. The pool is open to public and admission entry fee is for $2 and summer season for $20 for individual. Don't sign up for the whole season unless you tried it once and see if you will go the whole summer. I think that's why it's a dirty one cause the subscription is so cheap so they wouldn't really care.

You sign up and yes you get your own gloves and wraps. You can go to all the classes they offer. They have classes where you physically use the boxing bag, or you can take an aerobics class that does everything the except physically use the bag. They have kettlebell classes and there's also personal training. You got kids? Bring them, there's a small play area with a tv to keep your kids occupied while you work out. You get a real workout from head to toe. The classes are small and it's better because you get that feeling like you're working with a personal trainer. The instructors go around during class and make sure you are doing the work out right so you don't hurt yourself. The owner Monique is so nice and super sweet. She takes the time to get to know you. She's so active you'll catch her running around the place making sure everything is right and running smooth. Gotta love that. It's family owned, her daughter is the receptionist and she also takes classes there too. Check it out. I thought I should also add this location on Yelp for future pool seekers. I can only review on the lap swimming pool since that was what we were there for. When we initially stopped by to gather more information, the girl at the desk didn't know much details about the swimming atmosphere. We returned a few days later and talked to one of the lifeguards there and she was able to give us more details about the hours, pricing, availability, and crowdedness. You enter the pool, and apparently the gym and rec center, through the locker rooms, which are separated for men and women, which is nice. The locker rooms are big enough to change and store your stuff. They also have lockers outside by the pool. The L-shaped pool is very large. It is divided so there are four lanes for lap swimming and a general area for other swimming purposes. Bleachers, a sunning area, and lounge chairs are available for spectators and guests. Plenty of seating area, which is nice. The pool is indoors, but one of the wall is "open" so it feels like an outdoor pool with concrete covering. Quite nice, actually. You have to call and ask for pricing since I believe it might be seasonal. Plenty of parking. The rec center itself is much larger than what we expected from the outside.
