I've been coming to the YMCA consistently since my son was about six months old, he's four now! I…read morefirst joined because my friends told me about the two hours of free childcare included with membership, and as a new mom, that sounded amazing. At the time, our income was low, but the Y offered scholarships, which made it possible for us to join. We received a 50% scholarship, and it truly was a blessing. It gave me time to work out, take classes, and just have a little "me time" while my baby was safe and cared for. Now that my son is in preschool, I have the flexibility to come at any time, and I love that freedom. The childcare hours used to be limited to mornings (around 8 to 12) and a bit in the afternoon (around 3:30), but now I just come whenever I can. I usually do my own workouts since the group class times don't always fit my schedule, but there's such a great variety, swimming, tap, pilates, fusion, and so much more. Another thing I love is the sense of community. I often see friends from church here, and it feels like an extension of that family atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly, though a few could be a bit more personable, but overall, they're helpful and kind. For the value, variety, and community, the YMCA has been such a big part of my life these past few years. I'm so grateful for it, and I can honestly say, I love the Y!

Redlands family YMCA is way bigger than any of the other IE locations…read more It's got a lot of newer equipment that the other locations don't have. It's a great facility for kids as they have a lot of classes. It has a large workout area but I hate the setup. All the machines are so colse together that a bunch of them are facing each from across. I like my space and it feels so cramped. That we don't come here anymore.

Their prices are very reasonable even if you are not a member but becoming a member is very inexpensive and totally worth it. My son enjoyed the summer day camp so much. It had great programs everyday that kept him so busy and they even gave him the courage to jump into the 4 feet at the pool and learn how to swim even better than he was before coming. When they had to discipline him, they were fair about it and respectful. I appreciated that very much especially since my son loves to get in trouble. ___ The gym aspect of the Highland YMCA is great too. Their Zumba classes are jam packed but so fun. The trainer kept the class moving and exciting. The schedule is full of group classes that I look forward to trying. They are going on all day and all night which is great for working people. Always friendly front desk staff that are ready to go above and beyond helping their guests!!!! I do love the Redlands Facility way more but living closer to the Highland one, I have grown to love them too.

Highland YMCA is ok. We've been members for a long time now…read more The employees are for the most part friendly and welcoming. Especially the lovely ladies that work in the children's room/ childcare center. This Y keeps rasing their membership price but with no changes. No new machines or anything to justify the price increases. As it's went up 3 times already. We even kept paying during covid even though it was closed. Pretty much donated our $$$ to them for over 3 months. Didn't even get a Y T shirt or anything lol. We love the YMCA's as we have been members since we were kids in San Diego ca and Los Angeles Ca. Our kids are Y babies from Downey Ca. We really thought we'd be members for life but I'm just not sure if we're going to keep our membership. As we pay full price and there are a lot of other gyms with lower prices.

I come here frequently to either play pickle ball with the Yucaipa Pickleball club, take my son to the playground, and even for a date picnic with my wife. The park is well-maintained and the city has invested a lot of money and time into keeping the Park updated and continually making changes based off of the needs and requests of the community. I absolutely recommend bringing your family here for some safe, fun and activities!

There have been a few changes in the past few years here. The dog park is closed but it is my understanding that the city will be reopening it again over by the gazebo area. The skatepark is closed and the covered courts area has been expanded to where the skatepark used to be. Yucaipa's main skatepark is over next to the high school off of 13th street. The new covered area is now home to 4 permanent pickleball courts which makes for an amazing space for youth who may not have their own nets yet and for anyone to come play in the shade. Yucaipa Pickleball Club reserves these courts for club play through the city. Club hours are generally in the mornings and the 4th Saturday of the month. Specific club hours can be found on their website www.yucaipapickleball.com
