I had to go a few times before leaving this review. My regular places were all booked, so I called this local spot with good reviews, and they got me in same day. I was skeptical at first--the outside gave off more nail salon vibes than high-end spa. Once inside, the massage rooms are simple, with walls that don't go all the way up and curtains separating the spaces, so you can hear what's going on around you. I laid on the table thinking, "What did I get myself into?" But let me tell you--this was the BEST massage I've ever had. I've been to spas all over the world, spent top dollar on deep tissue massages, and this guy blew them all away. His technique was absolutely perfect. I was zoned out, relaxed, and left feeling incredible. He even healed a pain I'd had in my back for two years. I went back again today, got in right away, and the second massage was even better. Now that I wasn't on edge, I noticed how clean and well-kept everything is. It's basic, but spotless--and that matters most to me. Also? $65 for 60 minutes. Insane. Leave a fat tip--they deserve it. My sister and I embarked on a journey of relaxation, enjoying our massages and it was serene the music was beautiful, and the place was very nice. Unfortunately, the otherwise pleasant experience was tainted by one staff member's unprofessional behavior. After we left a tip, over and above the paid service, he became irate and aggressively demanded more, resulting in showing a piece of paper with information which broke down into prices for a tip I guess because of the language barrier. This behavior was unbecoming so the importance of maintaining professionalism, especially in customer service. The incident overshadowed the excellent job dome by the spa and given the reviews online that echo the similar experiences, it seems they're losing potential return customers due to staff behavior. When I paid for the massage I added in the tip and was told it wasn't enough. The staff then had a conversation in another language. That was a turnoff from the beginning. I wish I searched and checked this place out before we went. I purchased a couple's massage for my wife for her birthday. First off, the sign was half off the front so we weren't sure we were in the right place. Then we go in and my wife immediately got bad vibes. When we got into the room there was happy birthday signs up with deflated balloons. The only reason it got the second star was the massage wasn't completely horrible. My only massage complaint is they put these things on your feet that burn really badly after a while. I kept shifting to get my feet off the edges of the boot to stop the feeling. Then as we are leaving, we hand our card to give a tip and the guy laughs and starts yelling to the girls in another language. Then demands more money. He even had a fully written out clipboard with the required tips so it is definitely in the business model! I read review after review and the "manager" says we will deal with it and it's clear they are not dealing with it. I will be informing the BBB about this because it's disgusting that they think it's their right to get the tip they want. Went there for a massage today from a Groupon I bought . Asked for a female masseuse and got a male. It was a decent massage however at the end I gave him a 15.00 tip which was more than 20% of my Groupon price. He demanded 20% tip of the full price asking me for 3.00 more dollars. It was so tacky and ruined my calm feeling. I never have had a tip demanded of me. Stay clear of this place. Very shady read more

I purchased a 60 minute massage from Groupon, and this was by far the best massage I have ever had! My career is tough on my body, and I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and lower back. The staff here was very professional, and my massage therapist really helped alleviate some pain. The spa was calming and very clean. My husband found a Groupon for a couples massage here and we decided to go give it a try. The building is very discreet and you certainly wouldn't think it was a massage business or spa when approaching. The inside is small but had two separate spaces (not private rooms that were fully walled off) for massages. There were some recliners in the main area for reflexology appointments, as well. The massage was a good, no-frills experience. The massage therapists got started immediately and incorporated some stretches and reflexology into the massage itself, which I had never experienced before but was not mad at. I was definitely able to relax. I felt like my massage therapist was very thorough and spent a solid amount of time on each area he focused on. Towards the end of the massage, they did incorporate some hot stones, which was nice. Overall, I was definitely satisfied. This wasn't the most glamorous, spa-esque experience I have ever had but if you're really getting down to just the massage itself and not the fluff around it; it was good. I don't know if I would go back for a full-price experience but for the Groupon price, I think it was a great quality and well worth it. read more

So my wife and I were in town for an evening, and thought we'd get a COUPLES MASSAGE. We called K & J, got info on a COUPLES MASSAGE , and a few hours later, we called and booked a COUPLES MASSAGE for that evening. We waked in...were greeted nicely...filled out a form or 2..and then paid for the COUPLES MASSAGE . It was at that point, that they went to bring my wife and I to separate rooms, and we told them for the umpteenth time....we were there for the COUPLES MASSAGE. Then it got weird, the nice woman called her boss, who was the woman on the phone who booked my COUPLES MASSAGE to begin with....and she began to tell me , via speaker phone,some garbage about how her couples room was "booked at the last moment"...but if we stayed, she'd give us an extra foot massage. I told her that wasnt cutting it, but that I might consider coming back a tad bit later, despite it being her fault. I bought 2 reflexology foot massages for my Mom and I for Christmas. we used them today and they were awesome. Riki and Tony did a great job on our feet and legs and for a little extra we got hand massages as well. it was very relaxing and the staff is so nice and friendly. the salon is clean and the chairs are so comfortable we didn't want to leave. we will definitely be back. the woman at the front desk was equally pleasant and this was well worth the money. read more

I bought a groupon for a massage here. It is a clean location (i am super anal about places being sanitary) and they took me in as soon as i got there. The massage was great-one hour full body and hot stones. Different then many other massages i have had bc it included stretching my hips, legs, and arms which felt really good ( i am a runner so i needed this). There are no doors just curtains, but i did not mind because i was there for the actual massage and it was private enough for what i was looking for which was upper back pain relief. I made an appointment for my husband to go and get a massage using a Groupon. He was hoping to find a nice place to go more regularly so we figured we would give this spa a try. My husband, Tim, came back from his appointment on 11/6/21 and could do nothing but rave about his experience. He said it was one of the best massages he had ever received. He also noted how nice, helpful, clean, and welcoming the establishment and the employees that helped him were! I am super impressed. Not to forget, when I called to set up the massage for him I spoke with Jamie who could not have been more lovely. My son gave me a gift massage to K &J Rose Spa through Groupon for Christmas. Massages, for me, are special treats and something that I look forward to as I don't get them often. I have had several in the past that were just OK- and sometimes pretty disappointing. But I have to say that this massage was one of the best I've ever had! The hour seemed endless and Antonio seemed to find every knot in my body. There were hot stones, and hot oils, and hot towels.... It was fabulous! The staff was so sweet and you could tell tried to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I would book a massage here again over any competitive high end spa in a heartbeat.
