This is such a great salon! I had a lovely time, my nails are perfectly sculpted, and they are some of the strongest gel extensions I have ever had! This was my first time coming here since they've done new renovations and slightly altered management. I will try and stay as unbiased as I can in this review. When I first walked in, I saw that they had futuristic wall designs, blue accent lights, and plenty of workstations for both pedicures and manicures. It smelled clean and fresh, and every single workbench was nearly spotless! (Maybe one of the cleanest salons I've ever been to, in fact). It looked very newly renovated and had a really nice airflow throughout. They also used dust collectors, which is definitely something that every nail tech should have because the dust from drilling all the substances can be quite toxic without a mask. So, normally when I go to nail techs I always look for the dust collectors as a tell-tale sign of hygiene. From what I saw, I think Avonmax greatly prioritizes hygiene. If other techs weren't at their workbenches, they were elsewhere sweeping or mopping. I got a gelx set done, since I'm leaving for a vacation trip the following day. When I called in the day before, they very graciously and kindly let me know they had an open spot the next day--which was a big relief to me since I only had 1 day to get them done. They were very kind to be open to the design that I picked and did it so beautifully, yet efficiently, too! The manager is very hardworking and charismatic. You can tell she cares a lot about her clients. She converses with everyone that walks in and out of that door. I've read some of the other (kind of bad) reviews here and I genuinely could never see her in that way. Plus, everyone has their bad days. She said when she's not so busy, she enjoys doing more intricate and fun designs. You can clearly tell that she enjoys her job. She told me about how she's been doing it for a while and moved a couple of times until she found Avonmax. She said she very much loves doing what she does here, and you can obviously tell through her demeanor. She's very sweet and eccentric, and incredibly easy to converse with, too! Talking to her felt like talking to one of my best friends or something lol. I absolutely loved my experience here, personally. I know everyone has different experiences, but every client that I saw in this salon today seemed very satisfied and happy with their experience! The nails themselves are gorgeous. She's very talented when it comes to doing gelx, and I was so impressed with what she's done. She had some other techs, who are also very talented, help with the charms to get it done faster (I was here pretty late and they were closing soon), and I lovveddd the outcome! She's very communicative throughout the process and wants to make sure that her client is happy with the set. Prior to this, I had a set of gelx that I didn't particularly like, but she kindly helped me to fix it before my vacation! (She's my savior!) I would personally recommend this nail salon to anyone looking for a new set with a nice treatment. While their prices tend to be on the steeper side, I personally liked what I had gotten. If you're hesitant, I would still recommend you give it a shot! The ambience in this place was very pleasant, and I left with the feeling that I would love to come back. By far the best nail salon that I've been to in Farmington valley . This is my new go to spot. I've only been twice so far, They are incredible and take their time. All the employees are talented. My manicure lasts perfectly for at least 3 weeks, which is way longer lasting than the other nail salon I first tried in the town. Today, I went and saw Tina and got the cutest holiday manicure. I haven't ever done a nail design, and I came with an inspiration photo and she nailed it! Looks exactly like the photo. The nail salon is clean, easy to find, and all the staff is so friendly. If you are looking for the best nail salon in Avon, I'd recommend Avonmax Nail Spa, hands down. 10/10 read more

Went there yesterday. I needed to take gell off and was getting just a manicure. Zoe sanded down not only the gell but most of my natural nails, they are so thin and soft now that it hurts. Also, she did my eyebrows, omg...I did not see it until I came home, but she waxed so much in between the tge eyebrows it looks awful and uneven! I am embarrassed how terrible it looks. This is my second time getting terrible service there. I went back because they have best nail polish selection, but other than that no good. read more

Came for the first time yesterday and everything was great! The space is updated, modern, and relaxing. They play updated music (not the copyright free covers like many salons) and offer you something to drink as well. There are plenty of colors to choose from as well as many different pedicure/manicure options! I got a full set UV gel tips with gel polish. It took around an hour. Morin was great and very efficient with her time while also paying attention to detail. She checked with me throughout the experience to make sure everything was up to par for me! Awful - worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Extremely rude , horrible job that fell apart in one day, unclean and unsanitary place. never again will I go there, and I strongly encourage others to avoid it as well! Update: responding to the owner's comment below - I actually pulled the Google review off that he mentioned and deleted it myself because of the nasty response that I got from the owner based on my feedback. I thought it was too derogatory towards a customer to be on Google so I deleted it, and i was embarrassed by the horrible verbiage used and accusations made. My original comments stand, and now there is proof that there is no customer service at this place and unfortunately, they are not very kind. read more

Love this nail salon! The place is very updated inside and very clean. They do a really high quality job on manicures. The aroma spa pedicure was excellent and well worth it for the price. They also included a quick back massage after each manicure/pedicure service which was an added bonus. Wish they had more color options for dip/powder polish, but they do have an extensive gel and regular polish collection to choose from. Will definitely be going back! read more

I was a walk-in for a pedicure. I had the "pleasure" of having the manager take care of me (the word "care" is being used here loosely). It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. I asked for just a basic pedicure and she looked at me like I had 10 heads. Because I didn't opt for one of the pricier pedicures, she did a sh*t job. Halfway through, I could see the horrific job she was doing, so I felt compelled to pay more so I would get a quality pedicure. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've been a customer for months. Some of their nail artists are great technically, others are mediocre are best. The front desk person is always kinda rude. Today, they were annoyed that I was taking my time to choose my color, then got even more annoyed after I asked for things I had done in the past in the same nail salon, with a different nail artist. After a couple of eyes rolled at me and pretending what I asked for was impossible (French or ombré with dip), I gave up and just went for a solid color. The front desk person was incredibly rude, getting in the middle of it, laughing at me, and having weirdly aggressive comments. Ultimately, these interactions were so upsetting I cried. So I decided to never come back because there are plenty of salons where folx are talented but don't come with a shitty attitude. I usually leave at least a 20% tip, and decided not to tip this time. So that same front desk person screamed at me... and the owner came to hug me. Thanks for ruining my 2h of free time and good luck in your business treating people like shit. read more
