I want to first start off and say that I have been coming here for years to get my nails done. Since I started coming here I always would walk-in then state what I wanted to get and afterwards I would sit and wait my turn for my nails in their waiting area. I only have two stars because today for the first time ever I needed an appointment to get my nails done at this location. My nail tech did a great job and my review is not based on her performance at all. However, walk-ins should be allowed still. While sitting and getting my nails done two potential customers came in wanting to give business and they walked out shortly after being told they needed an appointment. read more

I wouldn't recommend this nail salon if you want your nails to last. I got a gel manicure fill, and the cost was $71 and it chipped the next day. Not even a week later almost all my nails have chipped. Not worth the money if it doesn't last. I could get my nails done somewhere else for much cheaper and it last so much longer. The one positive was the place was clean, and the nails look good for the first day I had them. read more

My 16 yr old daughter stopped by here looking to get her nails done and was treated very rudely by the nail tech. The woman rolled her eyes at my daughter, mumbled under her breath about how annoyed she was, and made my daughter feel as though she was doing something wrong. She wanted a fresh set of nails and was told they can't do that. Maybe my daughter didn't use the correct terminology when she was asking for what she wanted, but it's pretty obvious that when you go to a nail salon you're expecting a lot more than for them to just paint over your short brittle nails-she could have done that herself at home and saved herself two hours of being mocked and snickered at. read more

This salon was fantastic today. They were extremely busy but they were honest with the wait time and they were doing well with multi tasking. I don't see how this place has gotten some nasty reviews. I didn't find them being rude even on this busy day. All of the women were fantastic and doing everything they could to move things along. This business is very clean. 4/5 times that I go here they do such a great job all around. The lady I had most recently really took her time and made sure every nail of my gel manicure was perfect and she didn't miss any spots. Some of the staff is not quite as friendly as others, but the overall quality of the manicure is a plus. The gel also lasted almost 4 weeks and I sort of just let it grow out to see how long it would last before peeling the remainder off. I've tried other places and I haven't been as impressed by this underrated salon, definitely recommend! read more

So I just left this establishment about 10 minutes ago... Not to sound rude but I only came here as a last resort because my other two nail places I prefer we're all booked... Due to my schedule as a hairdresser myself working with people and so on I never know when I have time to get my nails done... With that being said I came in the salon not one person was working on any customers there were no customers there it was dead I asked the first lady that asked why I was there for two nail fixes and a shape change and a color change.... she looked at me like I had five heads She calls over all the three or four other nail techs they all say no we cannot do it, I kept asking why... They said I need a fill I just got my nails done a week ago I didn't need a fill! So I said I do not need to fill I just need to nails fixed a shape change and a color change So one girl says to me "you know that's going to cost you money" ... I said of course... She told me the price and I sat down My thumbnail needed to be fixed it was cracked right in the middle of my actual nail it was extremely painful so before I even sat down in this woman's chair I told her it was very sensitive been hurt very very bad and to please be careful with it... So I sat down she takes out the nail polish remover and went to the first when she goes to and presses on it as like hard as she could... i'm not a baby with pain I genuinely think she forgot that was the nail I was talking about... So I said I OUCH!!! and I pulled my hand back at this point my nail was bleeding... She looks at all the other girls and starts speaking a language of some kind of Asian dissent everybody starts laughing and looking at me while this one mean nail technician is rolling her eyes, another nail tech comes over and looked at my nails shrugs her shoulders and is at that time I figured this was not the place for me I felt like they didn't want to work on my nails because it wasn't a huge fill or full set and they thought of my money as like whatever... like I said I'm a hairdresser I'm in the same industry as them I would never ever ever have someone sit in my chair initially make them so unwelcome saying technically I really don't even want to do your hair and then hurt them and make everybody laugh and then when I said I wasn't comfortable going there maybe it's not the right fit for me they also to laugh at me and one of them called me a bitch When I walked out I was so humiliated and upset... If they didn't think they were capable of helping me they should've initially said sorry we cannot help you out instead they were pushing me to get a fill to try to make more money... Needless to say I will never ever ever return there and if any of my hundreds of clients ask where to get their nails done I will make sure they do not go there and have the same experience I did there... After being a customer of this establishment for about 10 years I will never set foot in there again! I go in on a Monday and I'm told I have to wait 2 hours for a gel manicure because half the people who work there won't do that. Before I retired as a nurse I was never allowed to tell patients that I wouldn't do their service because I didn't feel like it and they can wait for someone with less seniority than me to get their colostomy bag emptied. It was rude and it showed that they didn't care about me as a customer. After almost 10 years of bringing my family and friends in there I'm almost sad that I will never do business there again. They tend to charge more than your average place and I mistakenly thought that meant I would get better customer service. read more

Fancy Nail is a great nail salon. I highly recommend it. I use to go here all the time. They are very friendly and extremely clean. They do a fantastic job on your nails. The only reason why I stopped going is because it's extremely pricey. I still go there to get my eyebrows done. They do a wonderful job every time. read more

If I could give zero as a rating, I definitely would. For the past two times that I tried to engage in Fancy Nail salon's services recently, staff has been RUDE. They don't even greet you at reception and if they do, they don't even look at you ( busy counting cash or accounting in front of a customer ). Super POOR customer service. They don't seem to have manners. I will not come here again and I don't recommend this place at all. I'll take my business to better competitors! read more

I am from Maine and I am in CT visiting family members. I needed my nails and toes done and so I went to Fancy Nails and had the best experience I have ever had. It was clean, the techs were gentle. In Maine I am used to lots of chemicals and tanning bulbs to dry your nails. Also when they fill your nails, you get a manicure too. In Maine I get a fill for 17 dollars, here it cost me $25 but it was worth it. My nails look amazing and I got a hand massage. It was amazing. I dont know if this is just the standard for CT but way to go for them. I would go there again when I come back down here. read more

Went there with my father and got a great pedicure. But I went back the next day to get a fill done and they said they only did gel. Which was no problem because I had the money. Well all they did was file my acrylic down and paint my nails. Meanwhile I had paid ahead of time. They absolutely did not do gel but I was in a rush to get back to work. The sad part is that we explained the previos day that we just bought a restaurant up the street and were planning on spending alot of money in there. But since I got f'd over and paid 37$ plus another 5$ on a tip for a service that was not preformed I am going to drive to my usual place in merdien. I could not believe it. We are good customers and had left a 20 dollar tip the day before. Youd think they would take the fact that wed be there once a week into consideration before overcharging for a service that was not done. I will not go back. Same for my father. read more

Never ever let them touch u. Paid 50 bucks to be worse off. I went in to get my nails and eyebrows done. My manicure gel nail polish on natural nails came out okay however they did not prep my nails well because I can see the paint from my old manicure on edges. I went to get my eyebrows done..I told the woman exactly how i like them to go with the natural shape and keep them how they are ..clean up. She reconstructed my eyebrows and made one of them completely different from the other. I had no choice but to balance them. Now I have thin eye brows from the 90s ..it will take months to grow out. I always loved coming here. The staff is friendly, the establishment is clean and my nails always look amazing and my gel manicures really last. I was a little upset the last time I went and my gel polish was being soaked off w cotton ball of acetone wrapped in foil square. She took the foil off my nail, wiped off any cotton ball residue straightened it out and put it back in her drawer.....how many times has that foil square been used??? Are they really that much? I love how they do my nails and I will be returning....with my own foil! read more
