Black garlic ramen(ordered without bean sprouts--personal preference)
    Nini A.

I recently visited Cube Ramen & Asian Cuisine with my teenage son, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.

Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen and Takoyaki

One of my regular spots -- im probably biased because I can always go for ramen. This cute little place has been a favorite for a few years now. The staff is super friendly and the food always hits. My go-to order is the Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen (broth is so rich) with either takoyaki or scallion pancakes as an appetizer. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. Service is quick and we always lease happy and full!

regulars here. love it every time! The best ramen in town for sure. Our servers are quick and food is out in no time! Place is decorated pretty cozily too. Small, but neat.

One of the best and most flavorful ramen I've had. I always get the black garlic ramen with extra broth. Ask for their chili oil on the side to add in if you like spicy in your ramen. Note that it is SUPER spicy, but so so good. They even sell their chili oil on its own, it's that good. Have always had a good experience with their service. All appetizers I've had are great and this place never disappoints

Good ambiance very chill and cozy has amazing customer service me and my wife love this spot we ordered the pan fried dumpling which are so delicious they were like crispy dumplings also we ordered the scallion cakes they are like savory pancakes with a onion taste my only complaint is I wish they had more sauces to dip things

it took me so long to finally try this Asian food restaurant in Lacey omg. idk why. I never went even though it was on my list for how long. anyway, I really enjoyed my meal here with my family. we were all surprised at how rich the takoyaki tasted. it was the best dish from our order. I like that this restaurant offers a kid-sized ramen that still offers the same ingredients as the regular-sized ramen or udon orders. I never seen that before and I appreciate the availability of this size because I like to mix my order with a main dish and an appetizer. the ramen was good for each person. My family left really satisfied and very full. I would eat here again, which I do not do with restaurants since I want to eat at as many places as I can and try new things. But, this place was too good. I like that the table set-up readily offered sauces and toppings so that we do not need to bother the staff. indeed, the homemade chili oil was "very spicy!" Spoon bit by bit into your dish instead of dumping it like I did. i also like that this place was bright enough to the point where my parents could read the menu without struggle. and, a special shoutout to our waitress, Minsun, because she made sure that we were always topped off on water. She also did a good walk-through of the menu so that we could get the most of our experience and money. I like her recommendation of the milk tea and green teas to complement with our dishes because we were indecisive about ordering for the table. we felt very much welcomed by Minsun and she ensured speedy service when bringing our dishes. Thank you again to the kitchen and our waitress!

    Green Scallion pancake

I thought that the green scallion pancake was really good along with the takoyaki. They were both flavorful and the takoyaki was crispy, fluffy, and soft! But the udon was ok, I don't really have any strong opinions on it. The service was pretty fast and the decorations of the restaurant were cute.

    Tempura udon

Cube Ramen is my go-to for delicious ramen, udon, and other Japanese dishes. The service is always friendly and has the feel of a modern ramen shop in Tokyo. The tempura has a crisp and crunchy batter and is never greasy/soggy. Unlike other restaurants that *also make ramen, it's the main show at Cube and the other menu items are also delicious.

Recently moved to the area and was craving Ramen. This was just a couple minutes away from the house. Went around lunchtime with my son and infant. Seemed to be a bit of a lunchtime rush but loved the relaxed vibe. We were seated immediately, however, there was only one waitress so there was a delay in getting our order. The food came out fairly quickly. We loved the option for noodles and broth for kids since my son is so picky but loved ramen noodles with broth. Ordered shoyu for him and the black garlic ramen for me. It was delicious! Noodles perfect texture and flavor of the broth was rich and creamy. There were lots of noodles which I find that most places don't give enough and so this was a pleasant surprise and enough to share with my infant.

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

The staff is very friendly and checks in on you throughout your meal, and the ambiance is great - fun decor and good music. The food is solid for the price, and the portion sizes fill you up. I always order the Zen Ramen with and extra egg (duh). I do with the broth were a bit creamier, but that's just my preference. And if you're looking for an appetizer, you can't go wrong with the pork buns!

I ordered takeout here on a Sunday afternoon through Doordash Pickup for my first visit. I called…read moretwice over the phone, hoping to place an order through this method, but no one answered; went straight to voicemail both times. Just a bit frustrating since I know Doordash charges more.. I also didn't want to place the order at the restaurant because I was so hungry and wanted to grab & go :( I was really craving pho and I liked their menu, so I took the chance and ordered both a regular-sized Meatball Pho (pho bo vien) and their Pho with Steak/Flank/Tendon/Fatty, which seems to be their "pho dac viet." On their menu, the price is listed as $15.99 for a Regular size and $17.99 for a Large. I paid $17.99 for each through Doordash for the regular-size, excluding the almost $4 of tax and bag fee.. Thankfully, I live nearby, so it was just a few minutes to drive over. It's in the same busy parking lot as Safeway and McDonald's but it's more on the opposite side, so I never realized it was in the same lot. Plenty of parking, at least. When I entered, the restaurant had plenty of seating but only a few tables occupied, which made me wonder why they didn't answer their phone.. I know I'm being petty over a few dollars but I just want to get bang for my buck. The inside looked nice and cozy, and I think would be a lovely place to enjoy a bowl of pho on an outcast/rainy day otherwise (if I didn't just want to go straight home lol). I was instantly greeted by a friendly employee that asked if I had a takeout order and escorted me over to a small table, where it was already neatly bagged and ready for me to retrieve. Now, the FOOD. I will say, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was organized and packaged well, so nothing spilled on the ride home. The pho was a good temperature: hot enough to cook the steak, but not overpowering enough to burn your mouth. The regular size still provides ample portions, so both my kiddo and I ate half for lunch, and our other half for dinner. I specifically asked for no beans sprouts with my order, so I do like that they provided enough for my son while still following my instructions. I am not too picky about my pho broth, but I can at least say, the broth here was not watered down. If anything, it might pack too much flavor and might deter some customers, but for me, it was savory and divine! I still had to add my obligatory hoisin and Sriracha sauces, so it might not be the healthiest, but i don't care, I slurped up everything! I usually post images of my food on social media [stories], and actually had a friend ask what the soup was because it looks really good. Some people have a finer palette for "good" Pho but for me, pho is pho as long as it is flavorful and there's a fair amount of MEAT! They offer moderate portions here so I can't complain, and everything was satisfying enough when eaten with the broth. 4 stars because they didn't answer the phone but my son and I devoured everything, so we can at least advocate that the pho is worth it! I'd recommend trying out this restaurant at least, especially if you consider yourself a pho connoisseur (or even a newbie to pho!).
