Just tried for the first time and it's my new favorite place!!! The taste of the food, the portions, the customer service everything was a 10/10!!

3.5/5 I've been here before for takeout, but this was my first time actually dining in. We tried the deal for 3 sushi rolls for $33, which was a pretty good value and a fun way to try different rolls. They also have a huge menu with tons of options beyond just sushi. Dining in was okay, but I think I still prefer getting my food to go. Service was fine. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. Overall, good value, decent food, and I'd definitely go back for takeout again. My favorite sushi roll is the Ex husband roll, but that wasn't part of the 3 roll special.

Very happy with the food and service! Stopped here for lunch while my truck was getting worked on across the street. Ordered the teriyaki and general tso lunch special combo and was sooooooooo good! Very tasty and so much food for the price! Only $11.99 with lunch specials going from 11am-230pm. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Food was great. I had the spicy Korean seafood soup. So good! And they are really nice there.

Food is always cooked just right. Chicken had the best crunch with juicy flavorful bite. Service has always been warm and friendly. Ambient lighting gating and good vibes with their music. Lots of choices on the menu. I'll be back for more.

This is our solid second teriyaki place in Lacey. Wok & Teriyaki being first. Their 3 for 33 sushi is a good deal - no its not as elevated as say trappers but again for a more budget friendly it definitely works. Plus can't beat the variety - bento boxes are great. The ramen is okay, no better or worse than Zen but definitely not as good as Cube. They only do hard boiled eggs? I've asked for gummy and they won't do it. Weird. But yeah overall your good average Teriyaki place with big menu.

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

The staff is very friendly and checks in on you throughout your meal, and the ambiance is great - fun decor and good music. The food is solid for the price, and the portion sizes fill you up. I always order the Zen Ramen with and extra egg (duh). I do with the broth were a bit creamier, but that's just my preference. And if you're looking for an appetizer, you can't go wrong with the pork buns!

When I initially walked in, it wasn't too busy, but it filled up quickly while I was still figuring out how to order. They use a kiosk system where you choose dine-in or takeout, and it's nicr that each menu item had photos and ingredient descriptions so it made it way easier to decide, especially for our first visit. The space itself is small and quaint with a couple tables, but full of lovely art. There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. For food: My son ordered the Tokyo Tower burger as-is, and I tried the Umami Burger with light cabbage (not a huge fan of crunchy water veggies like lettuce/cabbage/etc.). Both were AMAZING. I have heard of tonkatsu but I had no idea what beef katsu was before this. Thought it was just a regular beef patty, but wow.. it was crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious. We ordered takeout and didn't even get home for about 30 minutes, but the food was still warm enough to enjoy without reheating. Portion-wise, my burger was perfect: filling but manageable (i think i made the right choice with light cabbage). My son's Tokyo Tower was massive (almost too big for him to handle xD), but we both agreed everything tasted incredible. I was tempted to try a bento box, but I knew I wouldn't finish it if I was already ordering a katsu burger. Next time though! My son already has his eye on the enormous Mt. Fuji burger, so we'll definitely be back. Parking is decent, though it can get busy during the day since it's near a gym and other businesses. Overall, if you're in the Lacey area, you HAVE to try this Katsu Burger at least once. It looks like they have about 8 other locations too in the other towns so if you're not in Lacey, there still might be one nearby you. The burgers are absolutely the star of the show :) I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Unfortunately, I was looking at an outdated menu on Yelp, so the spicy tofu soup is no longer on the lunch specials, AND if you want a "lunch special," it needs to be specified when placing the order. I assumed that because it was lunch time, I would be paying the lunch pricing? That wasn't the case when I arrived. Parking seems to only be on the same side as the barber shop (which i think is connected to the restaurant as well?). When I walked in, I didn't really check out the place. Seems like a classic no-frills Korean restaurant. An ajumma (아줌마) appeared at the register after a couple seconds (lol that is the first description that came to mind). I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)

I do enjoy ahi and poke, however the ahi on the line was completely uncovered. In addition, the serving scoop handle was inside the stainless steel container which is not sanitary and screams the potential for food borne illnesses. I did have edamame added. My husband only wanted the bulgogi steak, brown rice and cucumbers with soy sauce on the side. They don't carry cucumbers anymore. I tried ordering a bottle of Pure brand unsweetened tea, and they only carry the sweetened version. Then, I went to get chopsticks and napkins, but the napkin dispenser was bone dry. The portions were large. I enjoyed the flavor and combined textures of my meal. I could only eat about a 1/4 of the bowl, and was full. My husband said the bulgogi smelled good, but he only ate a bite and put it aside. He did not care for it, saying it tasted like "fake meat." I asked if he wanted chicken or a different protein option, and he declined. I can see myself trying Miso again. My husband no. But for the restaurant to be completely vacant when I entered, attention to food safety and detail should be a much higher priority. Edit after the owner's response. There were various options for ordering, but I decided to go with the nori wrap. You can select a customized option or go with one of their premade choices, which lists all the ingredients inside. I was feeling seafood so I went with the Seahawk. The employee asked me if I wanted everything with it, and I asked to just sub one of the sauces with the Chipotle sauce. The portions are definitely huge and worth the pricing, because she had to double wrap my order just so it would all fit and wouldn't fall out. To pair with the nori wrap, I also ordered the original miso soup, which comes with the usual tofu and seaweed but is on the sweeter side compared to what I'm used to. I personally like it sweeter but if you don't, I probably wouldn't order it.
