I recently submitted my transaction number to BBB because Two Men and a Truck tried to shirk responsibility by saying they did not have a client with my name...but my official client name was given to the BBB so Two Men and a Truck had no excuse for pretending not to know me. Besides, the transaction took place only a few days before my complaint and review. They knew. As I mentioned in my previous review, Two Men and a Truck had a changeover in their finance department and dropped the ball on my auto draft ...resulting in a big financial snafu ...and my furniture and other storage items had rat holes chewed into them and water damage...there were broken paintings and moldy items ...so many types of damage. Normally they offer $.60 per pound of destroyed items. Yet they only offered me a total of $100. Only $100! My chest of drawers alone weighed more than 100 pounds! Chunks of wood were missing from it and water damage was all along the bottom ...not only were items broken and damaged, but several items were missing! Even one of the mover guys, Carlos, seemed embarrassed that so much damage had been done, and he tried to get them to reimburse me, but he had no power to do so. Therefore, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say, I will never do business with them again, and had I taken the time to read the reviews in the first place, I would have steered clear... I have already dissuaded a few people from making the mistake I did, and if you are looking for a moving/storage company, I suggest you steer clear, as well. Trust me... If you hire them, and they destroy your property or renege on their standard offer for damaged items the way the did with me, SAVE YOUR TRANSACTION NUMBER for the Better Business Bureau because Two Men and a Truck will try to pretend they never had you as a client, and they will make one of their hourly employees embarrassingly reply to your review pretending not to know you in order to save face. But with all their terrible reviews and their bad reputation, a couple of little denials from them is not going to make much of a difference, anyway. So sad. . .but Karma is not their friend.

The second time we used them we had asked for only 2 men. Miraculously a 3rd man appears and before they even move one thing, he states that we are getting the third man for free if we just hook them up with a really good tip. We never asked for a third person, especially since there were only a few pieces of furniture left and 2 men could have easily taken care of it. When the job was finally done, the same guy inquired about what their tip would be....ummm what part of we just spent a few hundred dollars on moving expenses do moving companies not understand?? When does it become a norm to tip every single fn person who does what their job description entails?? After we gave him the tip , he actually looked at us and asked , " is this for only me or for all of us?" How about the people you hire just focus on their jobs, get it done in a timely manner and not worry about a tip!!!! You all are movers, not restaurant workers serving us food. They don't care about your stuff because it's not theirs. I packed items well with packing paper and bubble wrap and still had several broken items. One of the guys DROPPED my desk and broke it to where it couldn't be used and it was not a heavy desk. We have been back and forth trying to get that replaced when the replacement was around $350. They waited so long to get back to us so now it is $450 just for them to tell us we need to buy it and they would write a check BUT only for 60 cents per pound as we were explained we didn't need the extra insurance bc we could get up to 60 cents per pound of our entire move. Now they are backpedaling and saying it's 60 cents per pound of the item. They didn't explain it that way. I'm wondering how they weighed each item specifically if that were the case. Lol so with it not being a heavy desk, we may get $20 for a $450 desk. How does that make sense? I regret we chose this company to move. They also chipped the corner of my Trim in my brand new house while moving my washer in to the laundry room and they knew they did it and didn't say anything. Bad business with careless employees.

We used TM&aT about a month ago for a local move and it was a DISASTER. Not only were the two young…read moremen absurdly slow (8 hours and 4 breaks for a 3br apartment furniture move and essentially NO boxes! Oh, and we helped!), they broke two lamps, and broke our bed after installing it wrong! We only figured it out after my back pain got so bad these last few weeks that I asked my husband to check under the bed and that's when we realized they put together the base completely wrong and left an entire core beam out! As a result, parts of the frame are worn and broken and there's now a hole in our mattress. Not to mention my back is in serious pain. Unbelievable. To add insult to injury these guys didn't even bring proper tools with them! They were trying to put together our master bed with a handheld screwdriver! My husband had to unpack his drill so that they didn't spend another two hours just working on that. What's more, when he suggested the drill, one of the guys joked around that they didn't bring one so that they could get paid more since we had to pay by the hour! I've called three times now since the move and have yet to speak to any manager but I absolutely caution anyone to STAY AWAY from this company. I've moved over a dozen times in my life and have had my fair share of frustrating experiences with moving companies but this was by far, the WORST!

Excellent service. Moved our furniture quickly, efficiently, and with ease. Right when they arrived, they explained the paperwork and went through the process. Easy normal stuff that made us feel even more secure putting our furniture in their care. In our PrEVIOUS movers (who we paid $200 more for), we had 3 men and a truck. They lost items, tore and broke items, and could not get our couch through our door and had to lift it three stories instead. These guys figured out how to get the couch out in about 10 minutes. Yo prevent injuries to our furniture they wrapped all in clear plastic (which helped we didn't have any issues). Additionally it took them less than 3 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment. Definitely recommend them. They did an amazing job!

I was told that the truck would be at my house from 9-10 am. And that I would get a call from 8-9 am. I did not get a call until 10:10 am. The truck got to my house at 10:45. 45 minutes late. The men also smelled like pot. They seem to rush everything, which I appreciate the speed, but when they just drop boxes on the floor as they did, it felt like they had no care for the status of my things. At one point, they are carrying my desk down the stairs. I watch as multiple parts are dragged and bent in areas that should not bend. We all heard multiple cracks. They continue and load it on the truck with no wrap of any kind. When we got to the new place, they unloaded everything and scratched the walls in some areas. Again, very frustrating. They decided to unload my desk last, which was weird because it should have been at the back of the truck. I watched as they moved the desk to the corner and had it lean on the wall to make it look like it's standing. After they said it was done, I walked to my desk and pressed it with one finger, and it almost fell apart. I said it's not put together. So they pretended to try and fix it for 10 minutes. I pressed on it again, showing them all the parts that are broken. They respond, " Well, you did get the insurance". I paid 143 dollars extra for it. They left, so I duct-taped all over the desk to keep it stable. But when I called, they told me they needed photos of the damage, so I had to remove the tape. While removing the tape, the whole desk fell apart into pieces. Literally unfixable. I took pictures and attempted to file a claim. The website kept bugging and took 3 tries to file a claim. I then got an email from a rep, and they started this email with I won't get paid as much as I expect. I am still waiting for their offer. But after losing a desk that's worth around 300 dollars and paying 143 dollars, I worry I'll be losing a significant amount of money. My advice is to not go with this company.

They badly damaged our fine furniture, china breakfront ( broke frame and glass in one door), large coffee table damaged finish and put back together two pedestal dinning table which now has a tilted top to it( will require a professional person to fix). This short move took three days to do and this caused us to spend 2 nights in a hotel. Truck was too small and they didn't have enough people to work job, so ended first day with first load on truck, had a different job next day, so on third day emptied first load, then went back for second load. Crews were just not careful or well trained. Can not recommend to anyone.
