We hired them to move our a relative to Middleton, WI. As they were bringing stuff into the new apartment, it became evident that various pieces of furniture hardware were missing and several pictures were broken. They just looked at us and said "well, that's on us". Great. Then it became apparent that several rather expensive lamps were also broken. And then we turned around and saw the truck pulling out of the parking lot. They just vanished without a word. Initially we thought they were nice and were doing a professional job. But in the end, they were sloppy, unprofessional, and just blew us off. What a bunch of losers. I left a feedback message on the company site with contact info, and they never tried to contact us. I would not recommend Two Men and a Truck. Here's a litany: An estimator in North CaroIina demanded that I sign a second truck waiver, which was not needed. Far from it as it turned out. Credit to the franchise manager who assigned my move to a different person, who was much more detailed and professional. Looking back, I should've trusted my instincts. In Atlanta, the movers claimed they could not move a living room sofa up three flights of stairs at my condo (it would not fit into the elevator) and left it in the storage bin. Later, an operations manager said, yes, it could be moved. However, the district manager of this particular franchise declined to move it. I had to hire a second moving company to move the sofa up the stairs, and it took them a half hour to do so. Significant damage was done (and documented) by the Two Men movers to an antique dining table. The company refused to repair it, even after sending out an estimator of their choosing, and instead offered a very small sum as compensation. The amount was far below what it would ultimately cost to repair the damage. The movers assigned to load in North Carolina and unload in Atlanta were okay, I thought. In Atlanta two young, inexperienced movers were brought in to help. They were rough with several antique pieces and damaged freshly painted walls. I overheard one of them say to the driver that my furniture was a bunch of 'junk' anyway. Their attitude was such that I was fearful to say anything. I did speak to the driver at the end of the day and his reply was 'yeah, they probably need some more training.' This was the worst move I've ever had. Actually, it was the only move I've had that would compel me to write a negative review. My advice, find other options, especially if you have a lot of furniture. For small local moves, you may be okay. For larger ones, based on my experience, definitely not. I realize there are hundreds of Two Men franchises across the country. I'm some are good. My first and only experience with the company was awful, and given the bullying attitude and actions of the persons I dealt with, I submit this with some degree of hesitation. read more

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! I had a local move set up for 08/??/2022 under my wife's name, which I'd rather not say, and for some reason I got this random call day of from this number (678) 687-7057 saying his name was David and he works for Two Men but as a private contractor and I can get a cheaper rate if I just side move with him and his partner. We declined because we were already told by our scheduler, Mr. Robert Buford, if we cancel we will forfeit our deposit of $300 and when we explained that Mr. "David" apologized and confessed his real name which I'd rather keep out too then gave us some sob story about how the moving business is slowing down and they were trying to make ends meet. I thought nothing of it I was just ready to move. They were scheduled to come at between 9-10:30am but didn't show up until 11:23. The younger guy with the paperwork was nice but kind of threw me off during the walk through he wore sandals through my house like it was his. The older guy didn't get out the truck til about 11:40 and when he got out he seemed like something was bothering him. They brought another guy with them and said it'll be $25 extra an hour but it'll move faster so the bill will be cheaper. I declined. I didn't need an extra man and I should've been told before hand that he was coming and I had to pay extra so that was a no-no for me. They told me the 3rd guy would be free it's on them which ended up being a lie. The whole move was a disaster. Each one of the movers had a marijuana stench and looked tired. The way the guys talked to each other amazed me with all the profanity. "David" was scrolling on his phone most of the move, the older guy was on the back of the truck most of the time and occasionally sitting in the cab on the phone, and the 3rd guy damaged 3 of my items. Worse part they stole a few of my items. I'm missing a laptop, 2 ps4 controllers, and a 9mm magazine. I didn't want to make it a big deal because I know I was covered(well at least I thought I was). I talked to some guy name Andrew who they told me was the manager and he told me about some guy name Cam who I was supposed to speak to some time that week. We heard from Mr. Cam Lovelace a week later and When my wife spoke with Cam it was like he didn't even care at all and kept bringing up something about .60 per pound that I don't even remember signing. Two Men And A Truck: 2976 Ask-Kay SE-Suite-C, Smyrna GA I booked these movers on Friday 4/21, spoke with Ms. Ilene, she explained there would be a booking fee of $300 to move my disabled Sister on Monday 4/24/23. Two guys showed up Monday stating the truck was too small to climb the hill getting to the front entry of the house, we were told they would return on Tuesday with a larger truck. Tuesday morning 4/25/23 the movers showed up entered the home and "Refused" to move or pick up any of the items. One young man stated too much junk and they left. I contacted the office spoke with IIene she played dumb as though she did not have a clue what I was talking about. She stated she worked out of a different office and would call Smyrna to get the details. Two hours later I called back since Ms. Ilene never called me back, my call was rejected to voicemail from this point on the rest of the day. These people/company are "Scammer" they take your money and do NO work!! This was my second Scam in the last year. We had a local move from Warner Robins GA to Perry GA. It took 3 days to make the move. We had them pack which was a disaster. They mixed and matched, Had snow old snow globe which was packed in the bottom of the box with one piece of paper and many hard objects, computer printer not wrapped and thrown on top of the globe. Had many other figurines that were not wrapped and just thrown in the box. They did not number the boxes, some were marked with the room they came from. In some boxes you don't know what the mixture is. So far I am missing some items and don't have many boxes to go through, hopefully the stuff I can't find will be in those boxes. I've watched as their drivers drive in the most aggressive way possible, cutting people off, going well over 30 above the speed limit, even run people off the road and then get out of their cars and cuss people out through the window, calling this girl a b***h and everything in the middle of the road. Very disappointed with what I had thought was to be a "seamless" move. I had both called and went into the office to explain I had collectibles, art pieces and memorabilia. Very valuable and they needed to be professionally packed. Not only were my pieces thrown into boxes, they stacked them upside down. They used my own garbage bags to pack items, and spilled bathroom products which leaked into my PS4. I have damaged items now. Unmarked boxes, had to come back twice to get my refrigerator out of the door. Broke the handle of the door. I bought the team breakfast, lunch and dinner. I PAID $760 FOR FURNITURE and HOME DAMAGED!!! 6/28- I moved into my new home, movers were 1 hour late and asked if they could come back another day. I said no, I have to be out my apartment and move into my house today. Movers put holes in my new house walls, failed to put together my wardrobe closet and damaged it! They told me they would be back the next day to finish. 6/29- The very next day, I called Kevin and the other guy both did not answer the phone and did not come back to complete the job 7/5- Tori the manager come and fill the holes and put the wardrobe closet but its still damaged and not flushed against the wall. 7/22- Tori painted over the filled holes and helped me move my daughters bed. 7/25- paint drys and it not matching and I requested for a refund for 1/2 my move. I was not refunded! Today- 9/13 I still have not received my refund for 1/2 because they did a half job per our discussion. I'm out of $760 , a damage wardrobe closet and mismatch paint on my new walls in my home. I will never use again! Worst decision I ever made was choosing this moving company to move me out of my one bedroom apartment in April 2019. I was quoted $700 and was charged $1,300...almost DOUBLE! I was robbed. They didn't even show up with a drill to take my furniture apart and at one point one of the movers had an NCAA basketball game playing on his cellphone......really? TM&AT corporate said these words 'it's not standard procedure for movers to bring power tools'...really, so I am supposed to pay $150 an hour for someone to take a giant wall unit apart with a screwdriver?!?!? OMG MADDENING! So is it standard procedure for them to watch sports matches while they are supposed to be moving my stuff too? I was in tears by the time the move was complete. I went through all of the proper channels with my complaints in the hopes that some of my money would be refunded but couldn't even get a call back most of the time. So now it's June and I had moved on, I'd written it off as just a very poor and costly decision on my part that is sure not to be repeated.....until Monday, 6/10/19, I received a check in the mail from the Smyrna location. I was so excited when opening the envelope....then I saw the amount.....they refunded me $38.75. They exceed their estimate by almost 100% and they think its fair to refund me less than $40. Is this a joke? If it is a joke, then I am beyond insulted, if it is not a joke I am STILL beyond insulted. Refund me 15 minutes from an 8 hour move that should have taken 5 or less? I am LIVID. I kinda wish they hadn't even sent me this slap-in-the-face check because now I am on a mission to make sure anyone and everyone who will listen to me, knows that Two Men and a Truck will RIP YOU OFF. We hired the company to move us 1.3 hours away they arrived late , had to tell them multiple times we had to be out of the current home by 5pm and everything must be loaded . They left a room of stuff and had to scramble to get it last minute. They arrived at our new home late after eating. They tore our $4000 sofa . Beat up some walls moving beds in ! They didn't wrap furniture very well and it took 12 hours total !!! Never received reimbursement for damages even though crew leader assured us he took pictures to file claims !!! **UPDATE** Continued horrible business practice as evidenced by the disingenuous reply from the "manager" seen below. 1. Firstly, this is the very first and only communication I have ever received from a manager after numerous attempts to communicate with this company. I was only able to speak with multiple secretaries (who simply answer the phone and pass along messages) as well as an operations manger, both of whom assured me that this Amanda Jones person would be in touch. It has now been almost five weeks and this is the very first communication I have receive from her. No attempt has been made to return a single phone call. This reply is a lazy attempt to publicly save face as evident by their multiple additional replies to other swindled and dissatisfied yelp reviews. Customer service 101, pick up the phone and return calls. Not that difficult. 2. At the outset of this business transaction and contrary to their claims, zero communication was initially made on TMAAT's part to explain the different "levels" of damage coverage before signing up for their service. No details were given explaining coverage options. We were simply given 1 quote, no options. That is it. As proof, I have all electronic communications clearly demonstrating this. Again, if they would have explained what all the quote entailed, I would have easily gone with another company. They were intentionally deceptive from the start in an attempt to acquire business. After the move, a 5 page receipt was thrown in our face and quickly initialed without again explaining any "levels" of damage protection. It was intentionally deceptive and unethical. It is as simple as that. 3. $30 reimbursement for a functioning high end TV is a joke no matter what government regulations you wish to site. Also, those regulations state the BARE MINIMUM coverage that you are liable to for. You could easily reimburse a customer an additional agreed upon amount IF YOU WANTED TO. That is, if you wished to practice good business and reimburse the customer to their satisfaction. This is especially true if their self reported damage rate is as infrequent as you say. 4. As clearly stated in my initial review, I understand that items can be damaged when being moved and was not initially upset about this when it was discovered. The dissatisfaction came when dealing with their poor customer service. I don't know why this needed restating in their reply. 5. Also, I clearly stated in my initial review, I believe the item in question that TMAAT damaged was only worth approximately $400 (used) as evidenced on numerous online resell sites. The links for which can be easily obtained for you if you need assistance. I never stated that I desired reimbursement for the cost of a brand new ($1400) replacement, ever. This could be clarified by simply re-reading my initial review or, again, simply picking up the phone to speak with a dissatisfied customer! Again, it is particularly pathetic that TMAAT is quibbling over such a relatively small amount given that they collected nearly $3k from me in total. This is even after tipping the physical movers generously ($500). 6. After reading Amanda Jones' insincere and patronizing reply, I am even further convinced that this may be one of, if not the, most unethical moving services in the greater ATL metro area. Reader, do yourself a favor and use one of a million other movers in ATL to avoid this calamity. I will definitely be passing along this experience to my friends and family remaining in the ATL as well as anyone else who may be in the market in hopes that they avoid making the same mistake. Hopefully by reading my unsatisfactory experience, TMAAT could use this as a learning experience (like any successful business does) and alter their approach in the future instead of trying to justify their unethical actions in a public forum. The owner and GM doesn't want to pay your for your repairs or replacement. I had full insurance on my moving. And the owner sent me a check for $325. Which I damages were way way more. I was very disappointed in our move and post-move customer service. One of our movers arrived very sick, to the point where he did not have energy to carry our items. The move was still completed in a timely manner because we were hauling just as much off the truck as the individual at full strength, while our ill mover rested. Our heavy involvement in the move was of course not what we paid for. When we requested compensation from the office, the team refused to understand or accept our complaint. Their rigid rules around customer service only allowed them to compensate for 30 minutes since we were within the estimated timeframe. They were rude and refused to accept that the only reason we were within the timeframe was because of our heavy involvement in the move. So my biggest issue is time management . Movers called that they were 20 minutes away... took them an hour to get to the storage unit. Finished loading the truck and had to drive 22 minutes to our new home said "we will be right behind you"They movers literally sat and went to a gas station and were behind almost 30 minutes in my move and I ended having to still pay for it. No call or anything to let me know they were stopping. The Moving Manager Jason extremely rude over the phone asked me question as I was answering was cutting me everything time and then was speaking to me in a condescending manner stating "well the time seems appropriate to me" not understanding that they finishing loaded a certain time and the drive was only 22 min away but took then almost 50 to get to the destination. Only because of how Rude the Moving manager was over the phone i will never use this company again. We hired Two Men and a Truck for an easy move from a storage unit to a townhome two miles away. When our movers showed up, one of them was complaining about not feeling well. Halfway through the move, he called his supervisor and told him that he had to go to the hospital after the move was over. They did not send another individual out to replace him, putting our health in danger. We ended up completing half the move ourselves. When we called management to complain, they were unresponsive. I had to call three times before I actually got a call back a week and a half later. They offered a half hour back on a three and a half hour move, with essentially one hired mover. Made a simple 3 bedroom move into an 10 hour move. They saw a female alone and play led me . They carried 3 boxes at a time on a hand truck , took a 45 minute lunch on my time and disassembled a closet with no request from me to do so. The storage unit was just packed up in a frenzy , no organization or logic . I can't get to anything- sloppy and thrown together . My experience with Two men and a Truck was awful. The movers were an hour later than the text I received from them said they would arrive. Their truck broke down between houses yet they never called to let me know. When I called them finally Amanda the Operations "Manager" was the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. She made a bad situation worse. Now that I see their score it doesn't surprise me and only makes me wish I had checked here first. The 17 mile move took 15 hours to complete. Amanda said that she would only charge me for the cost to move my stuff from the home I was leaving. But she told her movers only to dump everything in my garage and not to move it inside. I actually had to call the police when the movers who showed up drunk which they admitted to. The movers tried to get $600 cash to actually move my furniture inside my house. Some boxes never arrived. Boxes with fragile vases were thrown to the ground and crushed. I lost a lot in this move. The thought of working with them to rectify was unthinkable knowing I would have to once again deal with Amanda. I asked to talk to the owner and she informed me that the ONLY person I was going to talk to was her. I feel sorry for the next person who doesn't read the reviews before using them. Fist, this would have been different if ANYONE at Two Men had follow up with me as they said. All I needed was to be informed but no business should be run this way. This has been the worst moving experience I've had. I got a call to confirm a "late" move on a Friday (5/27). But they didn't show, or call. I left messages at the office, they didn't return them. I had to call Saturday morning - again - and only after another Two Men location patched me through to the location that wouldn't answer their phones. They then told me they could move me the next day. Not acceptable given that I was supposed to have moved (and had moved most things) the day before. I was moved only after complaining despite having paid a deposit. I've followed up for weeks locally (was told the GM would call me - never did) and even nationally (was assured the contact would follow up - never did). While the men who moved me were nice, helpful and solid, they did break something and I got a call about that finally but I'm told that comes out of their paycheck. That's shameful for a company to do that. The office experience and the COMPLETE lack of follow up is embarrassing. I'll never use Two Men and a Truck again and will be making sure my family and friends are aware. read more

Run don't walk from them. 1) didn't put a bed back together that they took apart 2) drove off with pieces of my other bed on the truck - took them hours to get it back to me 3) left the wooden platform of the bed in no 2 outside in the rain - we luckily found it by accident 4). Could not get a desk in the room where I wanted it so they left it in the hallway blocking the entrance to the garage. They took off and left it like that, didn't bother to tell me. I went downstairs and saw it managed to call them AS I saw them leaving. Guy said oh yeah I forgot to tell you and then said we will come back. 15 min later when they should already be back because I reached them before they left my subdivision, I tried to call them again. No answer. Sent straight to voicemail 5. Manager Cody or Corey or whatever did not give a rats ass that any of this happened. And apparently neither did their general manager 6. At $140 / hour And handsome tips for both movers I should have been reimbursed for the hours I waited to get my bed pieces back 7. When did they did come back to out one bed together I found screws that were previously used that they didn't use - clearly half assed it I will NEVER use them again and am telling anyone I moving to avoid them like the plague. I want to first mention that my husband has used another two men franchise and had a good experience. However, we did not with this franchise. The men arrived and tried to tell us they needed to charge us $10 more dollars an hour than our contract said. Instead of agreeing, I had to resend the contract via email so my husband could bring it up on his phone to show them. After 20 minutes of discussing, they finally got to work. The guys were very polite and nice, however, apparently towards the end of move there was a communication between the guys in the house and the "packer" of the truck. There was way more furniture than they thought left in the house (although it was a condo and they had a large truck), I believe at this point, things started to get pushed and smashed into the back of the truck. Another annoyance is the fact that the movers did not have enough tape to wrap the large furniture blankets around our furniture - I had to give them what was left of mine, which was not nearly enough. While the large furniture wasn't damaged, the day after the move, I opened 2 boxes which were marked CLEARLY with FRAGILE - WINE GLASSES or COFFEE MUGS on all sides and triple wrapped and packed in bubble wrap. Much to my dismay each of my 8 wine glasses were totally destroyed - some to the point if I hadn't labeled the box so well, I wouldn't have known what they were. Drinking glasses, wine glasses and coffee mugs were absolutely smashed and not fixable. I immediately called to talk to someone. I was told that I would need to talk to James, left him multiple messages over 4 days and never received a response. I finally called Two Men International, who gave me the Owner/General Manager's name and submitted a request on my behalf. Finally, 2 days later, I received a call from James. I told him my story (short version - we were only on the phone for a few minutes), he did not ask any additional questions and I had to tell him I would send him pictures. After an explanation email to him, along with 9 different pictures of the glasses and boxes, I received a response, a very short response. It read "speaking to the men that did your move and they assured me that they handled all your items with care.With that being said we have decided your claim is denied due to the boxes being improperly packed for moving". I'm not sure what is improper about writing fragile on each side of the box, wrapping in layers upon layers of bubble wrap. I'm extremely disappointed that it took them almost 2 weeks to give me that weak answer. There are definitely things I would do differently, however, if they would have just acknowledged that there was a mistake, it shouldn't have happened and offered half the value, I would have accepted and been satisfied. Two Men and a Truck did a big move for me on July 30 and damaged some furniture. The movers were exhausted from a move the previous day, were not well organized and did not work as a team. The company had a chance to do damage recovery but I had to keep calling them for any response. Finally, 10 days after the move, a very nice man came to look at the damage and said all the right things, but has not contacted me with a resolution after another 10 days. This is the fourth time I have used movers and the only one with significant damage. They did not do a careful job with my furniture and their response to the problem has not demonstrated that they are "the movers who care". I would not use them again. read more

The only reason this is a one is because '0 stars' isn't available. I recently contracted this location for a move and during the process of moving my 65" TV was damaged. Even after purchasing their "insurance" my claim to replace or repair the TV was denied. The whole process took about three weeks and I was lied to several times during the "review" regarding when I would be contacted and what to expect. No restitution of any kind was offered, not even a refund on their seemingly worthless insurance. Further, the insinuation that I damaged the TV before or after the move is truly an insult and a clear reflection of the caliber of people running this organization. DO NOT USE Two Men and a Truck! I booked this company for our move on 6/29. I had spoken with the company many times to confirm the details of our move, even speaking to Mark the day before confirming that the truck and 3 men would be at my house the following morning between 8:30-9am. At 8:45am the day of our move, Mark called me to say that our move would "be delayed until later in the day due to some of their workers not showing up that morning. That we'd have to wait until another crew finished up in the morning and then they would be dispatched to our house." I waited until around noon to call and was told that they would check on the status and let me know. At 1pm, I received a call from the driver asking "how much stuff do you have? And will it take longer than 4 hours?" All information he should have already known, and by this point I was a bit frustrated. I told him that I didn't know exactly how much stuff we have, that I had given the inventory sheet to their office a month prior when I booked the move. He then told me that he had to be done by 5pm due to personal commitments. I told him that was not my problem, and that his office should be the one dealing with his schedule conflicts. He said he would call me back and then hung up. I immediately called the office and spoke to Mark, who profusely apologized stating that he should have never called and said that, that he would speak with the manager and call me back. He called back 10 minutes later saying "They're not coming." I was furious. We had to be completely moved out of our house that day due to the new owners taking possession. The company offered to "put us on the schedule for the next day." I declined as I had no faith they would show up on time. They didn't offer any other compensation for our lost time, frustration, nor their clear lack of professionalism and I actually had to call back to make sure that I would be getting my deposit back. Luckily I found Pick Up And Go movers and they were able to move us - and were amazing. I highly recommend you not use Two Men & a Truck unless you don't care about moving on the day you are supposed to move. read more

Called on a Friday night, did the whole estimate thing. I was quoted a price and told I would receive a call back to confirm that the time set was going to be okay. Come Monday morning, no call back. So I call them and was told I was going to be set up as a 'floater' appointment where they would just fit me in when ever they could between noon and 6pm. Who the heck sits around waiting for movers all day, hoping they're going to show up? I'm sorry, but if you're going to ask for a $300 deposit, I'm going to ask for a set moving appointment. Didn't have many items to move but they moved them and came at timely manner. The movers were respectful and kind. Nothing was broken or misplaced. I'm happy with the service I recieved. I recommend this franchise to anyone. read more

The absolute worst moving experience ever. I agree with the gentleman who named them "Two Thieves and a Truck". Along with being late to start and complete their work, they illegally charged my AMEX almost triple what I was quoted. In addition they damaged much of our furniture to the tune of about $7K! And they refused to unload the last truck until the police were called to the scene. Do your research (as we should have done) before hiring these criminals. The first thing I want to say is that my movers DeMarcus and James were amazing. They almost made up for the poor customer service I received about the logistics of my move. My move had a moving window of 8:30-10am. I planned my whole day and previous night around the expectation that the movers would be there at that time. I spent the night at my home that I was moving out of (with no cable, no food in the refrigerator, etc.) assuming they were coming early morning and I needed to be prepared. I received a call around 10am that they were short staffed so weren't coming in the morning because they had too many moves. I asked what time should I expect them and they said they didn't know. Huh? At that point I had already paid a deposit and didn't know whether or not they were coming or were going to be a no-show and if I needed to schedule another moving company. I called their number numerous times throughout the day for updates and no one ever answered the phone. Later in the day, I called the number I had received a call from early that morning and the employee picked up and still had no info on my move. The movers didn't end up coming until after 5pm. I was extremely disappointed, not just at the fact that my window wasn't met because I can understand you can't control employees showing up for work, but I was disappointed at the lack of customer service received throughout the day to keep me up to date on what was going on. My husband and I waited at the house all day and we could've been at work or doing something else productive with our time. Like I said, once the movers got there, they were great. Very friendly and even though they probably had a long and stressful day as well, you wouldn't have known it. They were very fast, careful, engaging and in the end the reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. read more
