Cost and time efficient. They made sure they got the job done as safe and fast as possible. They even arrived to the move-in location before me-in a truck, without breaking anything! I was impressed because it was a 30 minute drive and I just knew I would get there first. They showed me. They are also very polite. I was having anxieties about some brand new things I had purchased being moved. They put me at ease with their demeanor almost immediately. Oh yea, and they are fast!! Our moves was short distance. We felt it shouldn't be much of a problem, so used this local company. They badly damaged our fine furniture, china breakfront ( broke frame and glass in one door), large coffee table damaged finish and put back together two pedestal dinning table which now has a tilted top to it( will require a professional person to fix). This short move took three days to do and this caused us to spend 2 nights in a hotel. Truck was too small and they didn't have enough people to work job, so ended first day with first load on truck, had a different job next day, so on third day emptied first load, then went back for second load. Crews were just not careful or well trained. Can not recommend to anyone. read more

My experience with Two Men & A Truck was outstanding! Edwin arranged the move for September 16 at my apartment in Stone Mountain. Very disappointed in my experience. I've used this company several times before and never had an issue. I specifically picked the days for my out of state move to be sure I would be available. The office team Member Rakelle was very helpful and pleasant on the phone. Going over details, how the move will take place and on what days things would be completed. The day of the move Wednesday , the movers arrive on time and moved quickly. Once the truck was packed the mover informed me that he didn't have enough "Drive Time" to leave the state! Apparently they only have one driver who does the out of state moves. Yet the movers left my address with my items on the truck as of everything was handled. TWO HOURS later I get informed they can't leave until the next day. The day I was expecting them to be moving me in. No one properly communicated or offered to rectify the situation. Jonathan the coordinator basically told me this was my only option take it or leave it. After lengthy back and forth conversations I was told they would deliver Thursday night. Fine because I need my items Thursday so I didn't care the time. Half way through Thursday I get ANOTHER call saying they can't deliver due to "drive time " and it will be FRIDAY. Unacceptable!!! Again no remorse from the company, and now I'm dealing with DUSTIN the regional manager and again it's a take it or leave. As he hires on to say nothing was ever guaranteed even though there's a contract and recorded calls from his employees giving me day by day details. NEVER AGAIN will I use them! All he offered me was a hotel voucher, since I didn't have my items. As expensive as this move was and the fact I had to call out of work. That was unacceptable. This has been a nightmare. read more

TOTAL DIASASTER (No Show) My move was set for Saturday morning. The morning crew was a no show. The manager pushed my move to four hours later cutting off a big part of my freight elevator reservation and ruining my schedule. The second crew walked off the job because they did not like that I was upset that they were hours late and I wanted them to keep my land lady's house clean. The manager then told me that the second crew did not even want the job in the first place and were tired after a move they had done that morning, so I guess they figured my concerns were a great excuse not to do the job at all. The manager and crew also made up some nonsense story about me using profanity with the second crew. I never used any profanity with anyone. The manager said he would get me another crew. He knew I was taking on expenses from rent in the house I was not supposed to be in anymore to the apartment I was not living in and paying rent on. On Monday I made several calls to the manager, but he never answers his phone, he just lets it ring and calls back when he feels like it. The manager knew I had to leave the house I was in by the end of the week. The manager told me he had no crews available for two weeks out. The manager knew I had to be out of the house I was in by the end of the week and used that to force me to use another moving company and run off with more than $600.00 of my money he billed for a service I never got. Moved our furniture over a week ago. Showed up 5 hours late at 1:30pm. Guys were already tired and since it was by the hour I got less that I paid for. No packing skills and could not fit my furniture (that they had moved 2 years ago) on the truck. Left parts and pieces of furniture they did load. Them unloading came, they didn't pack the truck good and no straps, so things went flying all over during the drive. Destroyed some of my furniture and their manager Fred said he would send a link to submit a claim. Been calling and texting Fred for over a week. No answer, no return calls, MIA. I want to make sure it's clear that I generally do not write bad reviews, but this experience was so abysmal, I feel the need to warn community members from using this company. We had originally signed up for an appx 3hr move, already having packed everything in our house apart from some furniture that needed to be disassembled. This was an hourly quote, and we were only using movers because of the weight of some pieces - I had moved more than 50% of the household contents into storage by myself. Everything in the house that was moved was packed in boxes or crates, apart from furniture. Everything seemed pretty straightforward, though when asked about insurance, the salesman (who has apparently since been let go) tried to talk us out of any coverage, but eventually talked us down to minimum coverage, even though the furniture needing to be moved were several family heirloom pieces. That was our first mistake. We were told that the movers would arrive at 1pm, and when they were over an hour late, the dispatch manager informed us that we "hadn't paid attention" and that they would show up anywhere between 1-6pm. The movers finally showed up around 3pm, and were exhausted from their previous move, having been double-scheduled. Over the next several hours, they continuously dropped boxes and furniture, including having one person try to flip our 150+lb dining room table, which ended up shattering the legs. He then didn't the next two hours trying to 'fix' it with some screws and wood glue, while the other mover took almost everything else in the house out himself. The table was not fixed, and pieces were hanging off - glue was all over the floor and several hand towels in the kitchen. When they finally started heading to the storage unit at 7pm, they ended up dropping and breaking multiple items, including a filling cabinet, baskets, chipping the bedframe, ripping part of the mattress (which they didn't bag because it was 'too difficult'), and ripping off part of the grill because they didn't check that it was clear of the truck. We only tried to claim 3 items' value on insurance, but at least seven major items were badly damaged. When we reached out to the company, no one responded for over a month, as the scheduler had been fired. When I finally contacted someone in the central office, it took several days for them to get back to me and inform me that they would cover the minimal amount of insurance, despite having done damage that amounted to over $6000 in replacement costs. They eventually paid us APPX $350 (their $0.60/lb policy), after following up for almost 2 months after the move. The most apology we heard was "We're sorry the move wasn't without incident". When we questioned the fact that the damage done was grossly negligent and needed to be addressed, they stated that "we had chosen the policy" and it essentially wasn't their problem. We have used 2 Men and a Truck before, each having moved dozens of times, but this was absolutely the worst move we have ever experienced, mostly due to the complete negligence and lack of interest in taking care of our household displayed by this franchise. "Movers that care" is the absolute furthest from the truth. read more

Called a lawyer looks like we are going to court. I had to store my furniture for 3 1/2 years in the Tucker, GA location. During that time, it's overwhelmingly clear Two Men And A Truck Tucker, GA neglected my belongings. All my furniture was covered in mold, wood was warped in some locations as well. My living room couches, and dining room chairs have dangerous mold growth on the fabric and into the cushioning. The drivers were mortified, they apologized that their management neglected my belonging and, in their words, "They just don't care about the customers." At one time in 3 1/2 years my credit card that they had on file expired. They called me 7 times in one day to demand I make payment or else. I'm a man of my word, I called back apologized that my card expired. do not use this company in tucker. they are very unprofessional. they have this jailhouse threat they do to get more money out of you. and if you don't pay, the manager chris calls them and the moving will stop. there are just other ways of doing this and this was not one of them. my book cases were chipped, a television was broken, (samsung), my dryer they had in the truck faced down no covering on it. its all scratched with dents and they broke the foot off the dryer. they curse a lot no respect at all. and they never heard of the word team work! they don't and tore up a new floor and did not care they did it. they don't have the proper tools to take your beds down so that takes longer. and again, no team work. so don't let them do that. never sign anything in the beginning because they lie. my son signed in the beginning and at the end the main mover said there was a walk through that my son did and he was never in the house and dude wrote his name to it! who does that? i should have used college hunks like my gut said. nightmare and it was a full moon that night. read more

My contract stated I would have a 3 man team but because they were short staffed only 2 were there for the 1st hour. One of there team member's had to drop the 3rd member off. As they waited for this team member 1 of the 2 movers mentioned how he was supposed to be off but they called him in last minute. This is just to be clear how short staffed they were. A few hours into the move the team showed me that the truck was full and they didn't have much room for anything else. So he called his Manager, Brittany to advise her of the issue. Once he hung up, i asked "so what's the resolution?" he said "they don't care". So Brittany calls me highly agitated telling me they can't move my refrigerator because it requires them to take the doors off and they can't do that. I told her that was false because Home Depot removed my front door to bring it in so they still needed to move it. So she wanted to argue about that. At this point I'm pissed because she seems to have an attitude when I'm the one that paid her company to move. Fast forward past the back and forth arguing, my next question is how are you going to move the rest of my items. I sold my house and I need to be out of here by 5pm? She goes on to say she needs to "see" if she can get another truck out there and how it was gonna cost extra blah, blah, blah....My response is I don't care about the logistics. Brittany and I had words and she decided to hang up the phone in my face. What i kept telling her was I'm not arguing with someone I paid to do a job, so just GET IT DONE! If i wanted to be this involved in the details i would have moved myself with friends. The point of agreeing to pay a company 1000 plus dollars for a move is to get it done professionally and in a timely manner. Well none of that happen. So, the other truck never came and a lot of large items including my $3000 refrigerator was still left at the property. So, i had to make arrangements with OpenDoor to RENT my house back for $213 per additional day. I didn't find another moving company to come out until Monday (the original move took place on Sat), i had to pay them $575 for 3 hours and I'll add that they were able to move my refrigerator but just removing the front door to the house and I paid OpenDoor an additional $426 to have the home for 2 more days. On Saturday, i informed 1 of the movers that I wasn't paying the balance of $592 because they didn't complete the job. He called who he needed to call, i tipped him $100 and he left. Right after he left I called Amex and had them block any additional charges from Two Men and Truck. After, i was alerted by Amex that the company tried twice to submit the charges I got a call from Two Men and truck no apology just a call informing me that they worked 6 hours and needed to be paid. Whomever, the man was that called me could careless that the job wasn't finished, the extra expenses that i incurred nor the fact that his employee hung up on me. So, he mad sure to threaten me with collections and a lawsuit if I didn't pay. I told him I could careless and that I'd be glad to go to court. However, Two Men and a Truck continued to try to charge my account and it eventually went through. Right now, i have a dispute with Amex because they said sometimes companies use different vendors (or something like it) to try to process payments and that's why it was allowed to go through. So, we'll see how that goes. I was going to let that process handles it's self until I discovered that my $600 Fuji road bike that 2 Men and a truck moved and threw in my garage has a bent frame and the back tire is no longer on the bike. It's not rideable at this point. Prior to discovering this...maybe 3 days after the move I took the shrink wrap off my new Samsung washer/dryer set to find the entire top of the dryer dented. Very unhappy with our move with this company. They move so slow and of course charge by the hour. This move should've been completed in half the time it took them. It took all day to move 3 bedroom suites, less than 30 miles. All the furniture was empty and ready to go. Nice young men, but they do not get in any hurry. Two Men & A Truck (Tucker, GA) were hired to move a basement office into storage. First, they broke a tree limb off our tree coming down the driveway. Then broke the internet cable modum when packing. They were told only to pack books, files, furniture, etc. Why unhook and break the cable modum? We had to buy a new one. They chose to carry things to their truck up the inside stairs up to the garage, but unfortunately, they left the basement back door open after they first arrived and two king snakes came in while they were moving things. They ran from the snakes, up the stairs to their truck and then saw another snake in the driveway. (Of course, not their fault.) But, they were so terrified they refused to leave their truck. I talked to their supervisor who said he would not send another crew unless animal control came and verified the site to be safe. I paid $350 for animal control to come out within the hour, while the movers sat in the back of their truck smoking. I searched the basement for the snakes myself, and then when animal control came we searched everything in the basement. Animal control then stated that there was no indication of snakes living in the basement at all, and no sign of rodents or anything that might of been a food source, etc. He said that the snakes must've come in through the open back door. He said the area was safe, but the movers refused to get off the truck. Me, my son, and his girlfriend then carried the already packed boxes up from the basement to the truck. The supervisor then said he had no other crews, but could send a crew the next week since they were closed on Sunday. So, with the job only half-finished, the movers went with me to the storage facility - 5 minutes away - and unloaded what they had. The supervisor was adamant that he would charge me for the time the movers sat on the truck. The supervisor made no attempt to compromise with me for a job only half-finished, and was unsympathetic to our situation, knowing that I had travelled back to Atlanta just to move this old home office on Saturday, and that I was leaving on Monday. I then cussed the supervisor out. I will never hire Two Men and a Truck again. I have since hired another company to finish this job for half-the-price Two Men and a Truck charged for an unfinished job. read more

We had a pack and move job done just last week. The packers dumped our hung up closeted items in 2 wordrobe boxes with out the hanging bar as well as how the put 2 holes in our wall.  The packers left so many things unpacked at our previous home. We thought this would be covered by the movers when they came the next day, however they made my husband collect it all and move it in his car. And we are not talking about restricted items.  Also, we have random boxes all over the house. We have had to move several boxes that are clearly marked 'MBR' that are sitting in my kitchen, living room, and by the front door.  Not that this matters, but we paid for these services because I had foot surgery recently and would be unable to help my husband manage the physical move. I feel like your movers took advantage of they continued to ask for Gatorade and water like it was expected for me to provide it for them. What is the purpose of hiring packers and movers if they do only partial jobs?!? I reported this ti the operations manager who NEVER once apologize for anything and just wanted to get the repair to my wall completed. We arranged for them to come fix the wall, when the operations manager showed up and put some spackle on the wall, my husband could have done that Mind you they put a good sized hole through the drywall which needed to be meshed. Due to the multiple issues we have endure with this encounter we want to discuss this with corporate. I see all the Two Men boxes in our house with the slogan 'Movers Who Care',  reminding me that your workers definitely didn't care about us and our move. read more

I booked this location of Two Men and A Truck after reading Laura W.'s awesome review of them. I have to say that I am glad I did because we have a lot of furniture and boxes; so much that we could open our own Goodwill store. I scheduled the move for 12:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. About noon the phone rang and the Men said they were on the way to move us. About 30 minutes later they arrived and were in disbelief by how much stuff we have. I can't blame them for thinking we have too much stuff, I think that as well and I hope to get rid of a lot of the next few months; perhaps even get a big tax write-off for it. The movers were great; they loaded everything within 2 hours and unloaded it at the new location in about 2 hours. They did take a 15 minute break which they didn't charge us for. Also they gave us a 30 minute credit because they broke a $5 bowl, later we found out they broke a few other things; but that is ok as it helps me get rid of some of the crap we have. After all was said and done we ended up paying for 3 hours and 15 minutes, or $406 and some change. I tipped the movers well and even gave them a 6 pack of brews to take with them when it was all said and done. Bad attitudes, and horrible customer service! I had a terrible experience with Two Men and a Truck, (Erlanger area) today! They come out and had been milking my time, standing in the back of the truck talking, whispering to each other while in the house, barely doing their jobs for about an hour and a half before I asked to call their supervisor, Cody, who was short, hostile, and rude. They were here almost 2 hours and did almost nothing. I was disrespected, chided, and then told they were canceling my move. The two men each wrapped stuff that they didn't move, that I didn't tell them I was even taking, they wasted my time, and damaged the boxes and items they "brought back" and put into my garage. I'd rather pay full prIce for hernia surgery I don't need than to let these turkeys ever handle my business or my personal belongings again. Beware... The team was fantastic. We were the last job of the day and it was really hot outside. They have been moving furniture all day but came very cheerful and energetic. They had ideas about how to arrange everything. This was an internal move - - in preparation for a move out of town we're moving a lot of furniture into our garage and I was worried about everything fitting in. They had great suggestions regarding stacking and vertical placement which meant we actually have leftover space which will allow us to move around in the garage. Moved the ton of heavy pieces in just 1.5 hours. But the most important thing was the rapport between both of these guys. They were hot and sweating but worked as a team and joked around with each other. It was great to see. Would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

We booked Two Men And A Truck five weeks before our move. $120 per hour (truck + furniture padding provided) isn't cheap, but I think you get what you pay for when it comes to moving. Two men were scheduled to arrive at our apartment between 8:30 and 9:00 on Saturday morning. They arrived at 9:30 and I thought that was going to set the tone for the day, but that wasn't the case at all. I appreciated that they called to let us know that they were running late because of traffic on 285. Jeremy and David showed up at our door, and they were very courteous and professional. We had everything packed in boxes by the time they arrived, and we quickly went over everything that they were going to move. They worked diligently and took very few breaks over the course of the move. Did I mention that it was a 100 degree day? They loaded our two bedroom apartment in 2.5 hours, and we were on our way at noon. Five miles and fifteen minutes later, they were back at it again. They didn't dilly dally at all: they unloaded everything into our 3rd floor walk-up in just about 1.5 hours. I recommend booking the first move of the day-- your movers are more likely to be energized and on time. I seriously don't know how they do it... Jeremy and David were heading to another move right after ours. They were trustworthy and hard-working guys, and I highly recommend requesting them for your next move. This was our first time to use a professional mover. The movers arrived on time. The movers went over the inventory of the move. Everything was going great until my husband's Samsung tablet came up missing. The tablet was located on the desk in the office where the movers moved a futon. We searched and searched to no avail for the tablet. Bottom line, we haven't located the tablet. During the move, when I came up the stairs one of the movers was coming out of the bathroom. Is it customary for the movers to use the facilities without permission? Wouldn't this be a golden opportunity to hide the missing tablet? Just asking! I reported the missing tablet to the company immediately. I was told someone would investigate and get back to me. To date, I haven't heard from them. Also, a part of my standing mirror was broken. The movers propped the mirror up along the wall and hid the broken stand in the closet. In their haste to leave, they did not mention anything to me about the mirror. I found the stand after they left. I reported that to the company. They sent someone out within the week to repair the stand. The technician did a fantastic job, the stand looks good as new. If and when I use this company again, I will not be as trusting to leave valuables out in plain sight. A lesson learned. read more

The TL;DR version: This franchise showed up **EIGHT HOURS LATE** to my move. It took countless calls to the manager, who would never answer or call me back. We had countless calls to the corporate HQ. Despite speaking with supervisors, they told me all they could do was make a note of the problem and try calling the franchise. In the end, the regional manager tried to offer me a whopping $22.45 discount for the "inconvenience" and felt justified that this was okay because I still got moved that day. It took a few weeks' worth of writing the senior leadership, working with the Georgia Mover's Association, and starting a small claims court filing to get them to come to an amicable solution. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Also, I booked with the Tucker location because they had 4-star reviews here. My paperwork the day of the move said Lawrenceville, which had all 1-star reviews here. They're all part of the same franchise network so just because you book one doesn't mean you'll get that one. The three movers who did the labor worked hard and were careful with my things. I tipped them appropriately for their work, as it wasn't their fault their management can't manage. read more

The guys that moved me were great. Very fast and efficient. I was quoted $420 for 2 hours and their service fee. I was told it was $140 every hour after 2 hours but would only be charged every 15 minutes, just in case it did not go the whole hour. At the end of the move going over the bill I was told that all I owed was the original $420 that I was quoted. Yesterday they charged my card another $105 dollars. When I called to discuss this the lady was extremely rude. She said that the time he put on the paper work had me at 2.75 hours. I told her had that been on the bill I signed it would have been fine. But my bill had me at 2 hours at $420 and that they did not even bother to call me before taking more money out of my account. She did apologize for that but gave me a hard time for 15 minutes before letting me know they would refund that money. My issue is they didn't bother to let me know of the extra charges and proceeded to pull money out of my account. Which is highly unprofessional. read more

Wanna be overcharged? Want you possessions smashed, broken, or bent. Then THIS is the company for you!!! Back in February they shoved my stuff into a Public Storage facility and charged me $1300 for the privilege of dealing with them. Now mid-October I'm in my new place. I used another mover. $300 for the same job... Since I was past the 90 days to file a claim for the items Two Men busted, I had to suck it up and cut my losses. NEVER again. read more

I contacted Two Men and a Truck for a quote. Due to my pending offer including my relocation, a requirement was to have quotes for the move. I called the Tucker office, spoke with an African American woman who promised to call me back with the quote. Needless to say, she never called back. I would like to thank her for the horrible customer service. Thanks to her, I will be using another company. Good thing the customer service was poor she saved me from the headache of dealing with an unprofessional company. read more

Movers arrived almost on time, very professional demeanor. We had a LOT to move, and they finished in 7 hours (about 130/hr). They hustled, and I appreciated it. Have no idea how they have so much energy. This was our first time hiring movers, and we will more than likely be repeat customers the next time we move (which hopefully will not be for a very long time!). read more

Where do I start! First the day I moved three guys showed up one reeking of alcohol. Second, the moving technique was awful they did not wrap my furniture properly, then they put packing tape on the furniture that caused the paint to peel off the furniture. Third, they put holes in my new walls. Fourth they damaged by bed. Fifth they sent me a 72 dollar check I assume hush money and agreed to fix the damages. They eventually decided to send a bootleg painter out this was a disaster. I called them back. I never received a call back they sent me an email and said they would send me 82 dollars for the damages, I never received the money. Please do not let these people move you they are horrible at moving, and their customer service is awful. Oh, let me not forget I was missing a few things as well after the move. WARNING--GET IT IN WRITING, IF YOU CAN!  But based upon my experience, they won't put in writing what they quote you on the phone.  BTW, this review is for 2 men and a truck located at 1640 MCFARLAND IN ALPHARETTA.  I never do reviews like this, but after this experience I decided I would.  First, I spoke to a very nice guy named Channing.  I wanted no surprises, and wanted everything in writing, which he said he understood.  (In fact, their Estimate actually says "no one likes surprises at the end of their move...").   Frankly, I don't want to pay by the hour and have a couple of slow-moving movers turn a 2 hour job into 4 hours.   Anyway, I asked Channing for a flat-rate guarantee so there would be NO SURPRISE at the end of the move, which he provided ON THE PHONE.  We agreed that for a specified number of boxes for the 2 locations what the total cost would be. However, being an attorney I wanted to be sure that deal was written on the "estimate" that he emailed me.  So, after several attempts to put write these details on the formatted computer form, he said he couldn't figure out how to do it and transferred me to the "manager" Ray.  That is when everything went sideways.  Ray apparently thinks he is "large and in charge", and in a very rude manner completely refused to do anything that Channing had agreed to do.  In fact, he bluntly said "we only work on an hourly basis" which is, of course, how you get screwed by companies like this that quote one amount and then surprise you at the end with a different amount which they calculated differently than you were told, or they "forget" or didn't know about the deal that their representative quoted you on the phone.  IN THE END, RAY REFUSED TO PUT ANY OF THE DEAL IN WRITING, AND THEN RUDELY HUNG UP WHEN I CALLED HIM OUT ON THE BAIT-AND-SWITCH they apparently were trying to do by saying something they wouldn't honor on move-day.  Bottom line:  If they won't put what they say in writing, they have no intention of honoring what they tell you on the phone.  I wouldn't trust anything this company based upon my experience.    ALSO, THEY BRAGE ABOUT HAVING A 4.8 ON REVIEWS, HOWEVER, IF YOU GO TO THEIR WEBPAGE YOU CAN'T PUT A REVIEW THERE!  IT ALSO IS A TOTAL SCAM, AS THEY ONLY POST REVIEWS THEY WANT NOT REVIEWS LIKE THIS.  I BET YOU WON'T SEE THIS REVIEW ON THEIR WEBPAGE! :) read more
