However, I asked for packing service, and the movers had not been told this. Before the move, I had confirmed that I needed my things packed with the office staff three times: once via email and in two separate phone calls. When the movers arrived with no boxes or packing supplies, I had to run around shoving my belongings (including my dishes!) into garbage bags. It was a rough start to my very long day of driving a moving van across the country! I provided feedback to New City Moving about this problem twice, once via email and another via their text survey. It's been three weeks since the move, and I have not received an acknowledgement or an apology.

AND IT WAS THE BEST GIFT I EVER RECEIVED! It is truly the gift that keeps on giving. **Hint hint, people- Christmas is less than 3 weeks away, if you are struggling for ideas. ;-) Schae and Britney were spectacular! They rolled into my place like two boss ladies ready to get down to business (but not in a scary way lol)! They put on a fun playlist and took charge, which is what I like and needed. They let me help (obviously not required, but desired on my part to learn) and taught me helpful tips and tricks along the way to maintain the organization. Best of all, they knew how to prioritize my projects in the order that made most sense, and maximized efficiency and my time with them. Not a minute wasted and no stone (aka leftover crap I didn't need anymore) left unturned! AND, like, how helpful and convenient it is that they haul away as many donations for you as they can when they leave?! At the end of the day (literally), I had the best nights sleep that I'd had in years, knowing that there was (finally!) a place for everything and everything in its place. Not only did M2O grant me peace of mind, they motivated me to keep going and see what I can accomplish on my own with what I learned from them. And the productivity levels on all the DIY projects I've set aside over the years are through the roof! My home is, now, finally the way I want and need it to be- it is first and foremost, my sanctuary. Thanks to M2O! There was no way we could have unpacked and organized our kitchen and bathrooms over the next few weeks, which is what their team excelled to do in less than a day. Mackenzie was very responsive starting from original quote to appointment day. Because of this they came fully prepared and we feel every minute they used here was optimized to the fullest. They were also cheaper than all the other companies. Day of, they came in prompt and wasted no time. I booked them for 2.5 hour min and had them move me out of my studio. I was out in an hour, which includes them breaking down my bed. They set up my bed and also unloaded everything in about 2hrs. They were not like cheap cheap ($500) but they were cheaper comparably by a couple bucks and were beyond professional, nice, and just really amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough.

On the moving day movers demanded additional cash beyond binding estimate before inspecting or loading any items. They claimed more cubic space was needed, even though my items were dramatically reduced. Because of the price change and aggressive behavior the move did not proceed. I have filed complaints with regulators and the a bank dispute. I don't recommend this moving company to anyone who wants to avoid unnecessary stress and aggravation!

Super professional and organized. I felt at ease how carefully they handled our furniture. They came with wrapping, tape, and moving blankets. We had pretty much everything in boxes apart from furniture. They were super fast, polite, and showed us where everything was placed. They answered every question and were so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend to anyone moving and at any size. 2 tips: 1. Leave your clothes on the hanger and put garbage bags over your clothes and tie shut. They were able to transfer these from closet to closet effortlessly. 2. Choose heavy duty moving boxes: When you get boxes for your move, get the heavy duty thicker moving boxes like they sell at Home Depot. I went the cheap route and used the cheapest moving boxes I could find on amazon. They were a bit thinner. Everything was moved fine and without any damage, however the thicker boxes would ensure nothing gets smashed etc. The thick ones can be closed and sat on without the box breaking.
