I would give a 0 if I could. Been attempting to reach someone for over 2 weeks. They don't answer the phone, they don't return voicemails, the option to "Select 4 to speak with your property manager" on the call tree doesn't work, it just takes you through the options/menu over again. No one is ever at the facility. I live right down the street and drive by it multiple times a day. But when I finally get a call back, this was the first voicemail they received and was told someone they were there 4 days a week. Just blatantly lied to. read more

This place is decent. I've had multiple storage units through a few house moves and it's fine. Recently the reliability of a push cart has been good, which is a huge positive. The new manager is great. You can usually get discounts by checking online prices and checking at different times of the week/month (they obviously know which days of the week and times of the month that people sign up for storage and prices increase during those times, same as all storage places). If you ask the right questions, you can figure out the best deal on space, sign up, etc. read more

I needed a unit to put some things in before moving and I went to the Public Storage on East Lake Street in Glenview. Richard was the on duty manager and he made me feel welcome. He drew a map to find my unit, we looked at it and it was dirty on the floor. He went out of his way to get a broom and sweep it out for me before I put my totes in there. He also made sure I knew where to park to unload my car without stairs. He explained everything about the contract so I wouldn't be confused. -Not the most convenient time to be moving during a pandemic. Had a scheduled appointment to check out some units. I called before hand to make sure employees were there, and was told to come in. -As my mom and I came into the building we were rudely told to leave "right away" by a staff woman since 'only 1 customer is allowed with an employee at a time'. She said we had to wait outside and she'd let us know when we could come in. No problem. -My mom and I were both wearing masks not just our own, but for other's protection. However, the employee and the customer had NO MASKS on and were standing literally within 2 feet from each-other as we entered. This '1 customer at a time rule' makes literally no sense at all, does this store realize all it takes is 1 person to spread COVID within 6 feet without a mask? I guess not. -Not only were we rudely ordered to leave, but the staff member ironically came up to us within a close personal space. Just completely weird considering how nervously she enforced the policy. -We waited for at least 30 minutes in the parking lot. Nothing, no phone call, we didn't have time to wait any longer, so we left. I respect this 1 at a time policy as many stores now have it, although it was a bit nonsensical at the time given the circumstances. We had a reservation, I had called prior to confirm it and let them know we were about to arrive, we were told to come in. Usually I'd let something like this slide or at least give whoever it was a chance to correct the issue and address it, but this was just ridiculous in every way. I would give them 0 stars except that the facility itself is nice but the prices keep skyrocketing. It seems like every month the price goes up by at least $20 with no warning. I'm with J. Steve on this one. Raised my rent by 20% as well. I have a 10x10 there and was paying $186/month. Now in paying close to $220. FYI - Delinquency fee is $20 of total rent. When I called customer service, they blamed it on "operational costs". They weren't sincere at all when I told them this is the straw that will break the camels back. On top of that, I'm a service member for US military and they wouldn't offer any kind of discount for my service. I will be moving my things out ASAP read more

Crespo was extremely helpful but the pricing is terrible. I'm with the previous reviewers re how the pricing structure seems capricious. AND, Public Storage REQUIRES that you purchase insurance. I'm only storing old papers and books and really do not need additional insurance. When I asked if I could refuse the "optional" insurance, I was told that they couldn't rent to me unless I had the insurance. If I weren't already settled there, I'd look for another space, based on price. Service, however, has been excellent and the space itself is clean, so that should also be taken into account. read more

Although this public storage location is convenient for me, the reason I selected it was because of the reviews. I rented earlier this week and I have not been disappointed. What makes this place standout, however, is the young man (Sam) who is managing this location. Sam goes above and beyond the call of duty. When I had some difficulties the other evening - after office hours - Sam came from home to help me out. I have rented from other storage companies and at other locations. No one has ever made the effort that Sam has made on my behalf. Without reservation and (with zero previous interactions with Sam), I would strongly recommend any location managed by this industrious young man. read more

I would not even give them a single star if I could. Worst company service model I have ever encountered. You sign up and like a clock, 6 months later they are increasing your dues with less than 30 days notice. And not by a small amount. My recent rental rate went up almost 20%. Just signed up for a storage locker here and was very pleased at how friendly and informational Daniel was. Pretty painless actually (other than having to pay for it!). The facility is clean, well lit and easy to get into and out of. Also love the drive up sheltered loading dock. This particular Public Storage seems to be just a tad more expensive than another one in the surrounding area BUT it is cleaner and brighter with motion detector lights..a big plus when you are hauling things. It is so close to our house and we have so many trips to make to it, it is well worth it for us to pay a wee bit more per month. read more
