Super nice sales guy but either American Mattress logistics is really off or the sales guy just doesn't care about helping to push a delivery through. We ordered a full size Serra mattress (not American Mattress like he was pushing) and he was not able to adjust the delivery time frame to accommodate for a vacation we had planned the next week. The mattress kept getting bumped back repeatedly until after a month we finally canceled. This is how the sales con works: Someone will politely welcome you to the store. They tell you they are running a great sale this week. The company is a local family owned business. The sales person will tell you they are not in sales, but the manager filling in for someone one this week. They will tell you he can give you free delivery on your purchase today and a great deal. He will try to build a relationship with you finding some common ground. The customer now feels special! Once you find a mattress you like. They will offer you 10% discount. If you don't buy, the sales person goes back to the computer than they offer you 20% discount for friends and family price. He will tell you about a 60-day pricing guarantee so you can shop with confidence. The sales person will keep dropping the price of the mattress you like until you purchase. They will tell you they have the mattress in stock and they can get it to you in 2 days so you have less time to change your mind. Lucky for me I was able to cancel my purchase the next day. When I went to cancel, the sales person offer to drop the price by 45% to match the online prices!!!! I thought you were giving me an incredible deal yesterday? At the end of your purchase they will give you a free $10 mattress cover and say it retails for $60. You will be treated well, thank for your business. The reality is you just been ripped off and paid hundreds of dollars more for a mattress than can be purchased online or at a small local furniture store for much less!! On May 29 I ordered not inexpensive mattress from American Mattress Northbrook for delivery on the 12th which was roughly 2 weeks. On Friday the 11th at about 6 o'clock I received a call that the mattress isn't available maybe Tuesday. They'll call Monday. They never called on Monday. I went in on Tuesday got a credit but the salesman or whatever he was was the rudest I've come across in 81 years of doing business. Staff was very helpful, low pressure, super friendly and not condescending. Went in with my boyfriend and the salesman spoke to both of us, asked questions and made suggestions. Delivery was set up a few days after the purchase. We shopped in a store nowhere near our home so I was worried delivery might be an issue, but NOPE! The delivery guys were AWESOME! It only took about 15 minutes which included set up and haul away. We upgraded from a full to a queen and they even broke down our cheapo Ikea frame and brought it to the trash (just outside my back door). Very happy and would recommend. My in-store experience was very good. Salesman didn't try to up sell to a higher price mattress. Everything fell apart on delivery. My "window" was 1-3, and the driver was to call 30 minutes before arrival. Having heard nothing at 3:15, I called the store. I was told they were running "a little late", and there were three deliveries before me. Said they should be here by 4:00. On my third call, I asked that the $29 delivery charge be returned, which was agreed to without question. Driver, who was very nice, arrived close to 6:30. Never once did anyone in the store say the magic words:"I'm sorry", or "we screwed up". They did say we were placed on the wrong route, "which never happens". I asked to speak to the manager, who was out until Saturday (this was Thursday). Waited until today to review, Giving the manager a chance to call. Didn't happen. read more

We did get to test as many mattresses as we wanted though. The beds didn't seem organized very well. i had a 10 warrenty on my bed. Just after the one year mark it needed to be replaced. i called Bryan at the store, who membered me, and he got the ball rolling on getting replaced. Three week went by and i called Bryan at the store and he said the replacement was approved. I went 2 days later to pick out a new set nad was delieverd the next day. This is the 3rd set we've bought from this store and the first warrenty we needed. This will remain our go to store. read more
